  1. Missed tackle after missed tackle and when the opposing team converts a third and long, especially if it's on missed tackles...and when the Colts are losing, and the commentators can't stop drooling over a member(s) of the opposing team. I'm talking to you, Cris Collinsworth. I am fairly certain that he spent the downtime in the broadcasting booth during the Colts/Pats game last year writing "Mrs. Cris Brady" all up and down the margins of his notes, with little hearts over the i's in Cris where the dots should be, of course. Grrrr. Shaaadup!! On that note, I have a new dog, and I'm really not sure how to warn him of things to come. Poor pooch.

  2. Some of my notes from today's camp:

Luck to Andre. A lot. Get used to it. Made a sick 1 handed grab down the sidelines, crowd cheered.

Duron Carter again made play after play today. He looks so dang tall out there. Jumping and plucking the ball out of the air over everybody. He was first on the field today going to work.

TY dropped a few deep balls but was there in the endzone for a TD today.

Vincent Brown had the nod over Griff Whalen today in my opinion. He looks fast and shifty and made some tough catches.

    D. Allen, Fleener, & Doyle were quiet but had a decent day. Dwayne dropped an easy catch earlier in the day. Fleener and Doyle looked flawless.

Gore is as advertised. Hasn't lost a step and makes our O-Line look above average.

Boom Herron is improved and looks very fast out there. He dances too much in my opinion though.

Tyler Varga is a muscle machine. Very strong kid. Made some nice catches today.

Josh Robinson looks okay, nothing special yet from what I saw. Had 1 great run straight up the gut.

Jonathon Newsome wreaked havoc on Hasslebeck a few times today that were called for sacks. I think he has a great 2015 season.

Clayton Geathers looks huge. He had some good coverage today and made a pick on Luck today.

Adam Vinatieri was flawless. Kicked 16 for 16 I believe today. Two were over 60 yards. He hit the camera guy in the cherry picker a couple times. Oops!

Pat McAfee is a funny dude. I asked if he could sign my football. I extended out the football and sharpie and he then begins to sword fight my sharpie with his sharpie. (That sounds terrible, I know, but it was funny) Then he saw my wife and just started talking to her. LOL Nice.

Judging by the angle of your pics, you must have been sitting in front of me. I saw the same things. Carter and Gore kept drawing my attention today. Carter was everywhere, and I was pleased to see him out on the field first. I thought Gore was a workhorse, keeping himself moving. He looked good. Also, since you mentioned him, I couldn't help but notice Varga's calf muscles. They were huge! I find it difficult to follow the defense when they aren't in full pads. They can't get too physical, but Geathers was interesting. He did look massive and was doing a decent job when I paid attention. And, in an effort at full disclosure, I took a pic of the back of the vulgar shirt because I am weak. I giggled...a lot.

  3. I would have liked to have been there.  There is something about this guy

I agree, Nadine.  Not sure if it's the awkwardness, the humbleness, the Wookieness, or his nerdy intellect, but there is something about him.  I know I appreciate his lack of bravado in interviews.  I told an acquaintance last week that I felt like kind of a protective mother to him for some reason.  When he said he was only 25 (which I already knew) in this interview, it was only then that I realized that I actually am old enough to be his mother.  Yeah, I'm not using that analogy again...well, except for just now.

  4. Thanks for the warm welcomes! ...And, as soon as I eke out how to quote messages, I will. Just tried it and failed miserably. Lol. So be it. The good news is that my failure is likely to be buried under an abundance of draft threads. The timing of my foray into this new world was entirely on purpose.

  5. Always love reading threads on this topic.  Decided to finally cave and start an account instead of lurking in the shadows for several more years, so here goes...  Little sister of an all-conference football player and bandwagon Bears fan in the 80's, I've been a casual fan of football and most sports for as long as I can recall.  It was when I had a child in '95, however, that I started paying more attention.  As the single mother of a son and being the only parent in his life, I started doing my due diligence on any sport in which he showed an interest, so, by the time he joined youth football, I pretty much knew who the "skill" players were on the Colts because they were the team from my home state, and I could see them on the television more often than other teams, and also because I found Peyton so fascinating to watch.  When my son became a lineman, I started paying attention to them as well.  Soon enough, I realized that my boy would rather play ball than watch it, but I was hooked, and he indulged my colorful displays of fandom in our living room.  Sadly, there has been nary a soul around me that seems as interested in free agency and such, the possible exception being a coworker who is a Browns fan.  He spends a lot of time being unhappy, as you can well imagine.  As a result of my Colts-love-vacuum, I started coming here...a lot.  My son graduated last year, joined the military, and left me to be alone with my lunatic rants on game day, but I don't mind.  Sometimes, it's for the best, and my kid knows it.  He was lucky enough to be home on leave during the Steelers/Colts game last season.  After much sighing and tossing of hands on my part, my son calmly turns to my visiting parents and says, "The Colts are losing.  She needs to watch this alone."  That's my boy!  And that's my story.
