TBH I thin we need to pursue Honey Badger and consider moving on from Geathers..... Or keep him as a back up. But he is not near the same since returning.
The thought of Hooker and Matthieu is down right scary.

I have a question I would like to ask you. When I ask it, it's not meant to be argumentative or to start any animosity.
Did you join this forum to do nothing but whine and cry over everything they do?
That is all you have done since you have joined this forum. It's been non stop negative issues with you since day one.
Just curious.
Crazy. I will tell you the same as I told NCF in the above post.
QuoteWe'd may disagree and argue a lot. But you do make some very good posts.
Believe it or not I enjoy your input!!!!

No! What Ryan Grigson during his time led us to 4-12.
Andrew Luck missing the entire season is what led us to 4-12.
The fact that you don't know that... that you can't figure out 2 plus 2 equals 4 tells me all I need to know.
You've decided to take the easy way out as a Colts fan. You're going to + and moan and complain and tell everyone you're smarter than Chris Ballard. Good for you.
I've said for years here... this is a passionate but ignorant and ill-informed fan base. And that puts you with the masses, where it's easy to sit back and scream your unhappiness.
I doubt you and the masses will have much fun this year... load up now... it's all Chris Ballard's fault. That's the best you can do.
We'd may disagree and argue a lot. But you do make some very good posts.
Believe it or not I enjoy your input!!!! HA

Ballard is not making sense. To beat a passing league. You need to BEAT a passing league. Corners are my favorite position in the NFL so I am biased.
We are gonna get torn up if this is not addressed. Maybe not so much in the division but IF we get to the playoffs. We will get torched by the Big 2 Br=eing NE and PItt by the passing game

It's a great question and one that probably needs to be stickied for the new members.
These are the the type of learning threads that are important IMO.

Absolutely need a CB 1. Or we are toast

With what is looking like a multiyear rebuilding process in which Ballard has to build back up what Grigson tore down, would it be smart to trade Luck while he still has great value, since by the time this team is ready to compete for championships, Luck will be in his 30s? I know I know it's blasphemy to discuss trading Luck, but if we're a few years from even competing for contention, why not entertain it?
I think I heard Grady and Big Joe mentioning this to Mike Wells in the sense that Luck is not getting any younger.
Don't waste posts..... this is stupid
-
Watch how much better Vuj will be under better coaching and a MUCH better scheme
Ballard knows what he's doing

Awesome. Another thread that should've been a post in an already existing thread talking about the same * thing.

Wait? Free agency hasn’t started yet? Thank god!!!! For some reason I had this crazy 48hr dream where 34 Free Agents agreed to deals.
In your dream we're you informed of all the deals made? Or is 34 an absolute?

somehow involving Peyton Manning. .
maybe he will help with the O
or play G. I'm getting a little worried about this non-action in FA--- at this point the only way I would be happy is to get PM somehow involved with the colts
You wasted your 9th post on this?

Not sure, but there were reports that Norwell had narrowed it down to 3 teams (Colts being 1 of the 3) and then the Jags came out of nowhere. So we know that the Colts offered enough to get his interest.
Not enough, obviously.
Not necessarily..... Maybe he just liked the Jags better....

It's fine that we did not offer Norwell the amount that the Jags did, but how does adding a young talented O-lineman not help us with a re-build?
How much did Ballard offer him?

No one is saying you need to over pay for a bunch of free agents.
But paying Robinson, Norwell, and the Dallas LB a little more than they got was certainly what I would consider to be in the ball park of what they deserve.
Especially someone like Norwell. Even Robinson who is still super young. I see people saying what is the point in signing really good free agents to higher contracts now when we aren't any good.
Two things.
We won't be good unless we get good players, and relying on the draft is a crapshoot.
And two, OL is wayyyyyyyyy different than almost any other position considering the status of Lucks health. He is the franchise. And the franchise is hurt and has been for 2 years. I don't care if the rest of the team completely blows. The OL needs to be GREAT at this point to protect Luck. So saying we shouldn't pay high for the OL because the rest of the team sucks is absolute craziness. If we don't have an OL, there will be no more Luck in 2 years. Not to mention, when Luck is good, that creates good vibes and the team does better and that makes more FA's want to come here. If he struggles or is hurt? They don't.
How do you know Ballard didn't offer more money? It's not an auction!!! It doesnt always go to the highest bidder
-
This whole Ballard didn't do enough nonsense is ridiculous.... No one knows what he offered or IF he offered anything.
This is not an auction that goes to the highest bidder!!!! The player gets to choose.
Colts 4-12 with a cruddy defense that has had horrible management for the last 6 yrs with a new coaching staff a questionable QB position and a pretty cruddy roster.... In Indiana where there is state income taxes.... cold weather... and corn
OR
Jax who just came off of the AFCCG and should have won. A great RB.. a very stout defense...... stable coaching (I didn't say great I said stable). No income taxes.... warm weather... beaches
66,000,000 in Florida saves Norwell about 2.2 million in state income taxes compared to Indiana.

They will just show him their downtown NYC and our cornfields

Gross. He will have a market...so the Colts will be bidding against other teams to buy high on an aging scat back with multiple knee surgeries coming from a system that inflates scat backs. I would rather save the money and give Vereen the vet min.
Did you really just say gross?

Because the Giants need a QB and the Colts don't.
Could be... but they have Eli, He will play for a few more yrs I think. Doubt anyone comes in and takes his job right now. They could go the route of building a team first then adding a QB in a yr or two
