IOL is my biggest concern, followed by LB. I don’t have as many concerns about CB and T as others.
My thoughts exactly. If Ballard is able to sign Dalton Risner & Rashaan Evans we'd be set! IMO

If we landed 2 or 3 from this list I'd be ecstatic!
Jones (OT), Adebawore (edge), Zavala (OG), Ringo (CB), Vorhees (OG), Phillips (CB), Rush (CB), To'oTo'o (LB)

I like!

Stroud by a wide margin for me.
I'm a UK fan so I watched every game Levis played. I'm pulling for him. However, he does not have the pocket awareness, foot work or accuracy that Stroud has. The O-line was so bad last yr, he started seeing ghosts at times and others walking right into rushers blindly.
Richardson is intriguing but super raw. He's the exact example of boom or bust.
With that said, I will root for whomever the Colts select!

Not for the #4 pick. But, if they were willing to trade him for the 35th pick I'd be all for it.

No QB, #1 WR, true FS, play making TE or 1st rd draft pick. Oh, but we got the most cap space out of every team in the NFL....yay!! While we sit here and watch every legit play maker (minus Ngakoue) sign elsewhere. C'mon Irsay, it's time for you to step in!

I can't really see how people watch any of his highlights or tape side by side with Love's and don't come down preferring Herbert.
The only problem seems to be that it seems likely we'll need to trade up into the top 4 to get him. We've got the ammunition to do that though so if the front office come to the conclusion that he's our long term guy then I'm completely at peace with that.
I completely agree. I have been saying all off season that Herbert is my favorite QB in the draft behind Burrow and Tua. I would be ok with the Colts moving up a few spots to grab him. I know there are a ton of Colts fans on the Love bandwagon but he's too risky for me to get excited about in the 1st round. I would definitely not trade up to take him.

I'm hoping with his disappointing 40 Jalen Reagor slips to 34 or 44.
I like Reagor as well. Peoples Jones really impressed at the combine along with Chase Claypool. I'd be happy with any of the 3.

I think he's predicted to be a UDFA/PS with a 5.4 grade, so not really a need to use a 3rd through 5th. He's got some funky mechanics so I really doubt he goes before 7.
I agree that 3-5 is probably too high, however, I would take that bet that somebody takes him before the 7th round. His combine numbers were excellent. He had the 3rd best combine stats behind only Love & Herbert. He is also listed as a top 5 combine winner amongst the QB group. McDonald threw for 8,032 yards with 70 TD's and only 24 INT's at Hawaii. Those are very impressive numbers. I know he's not coming from an NFL system and his numbers didn't come against elite talent but the kid still checks alot of the boxes. Hes a low risk, high reward developmental QB IMO.

I like McDonald, he's definitely got some intriguing stats/measurables. If we decide to go with a veteran QB via free agency I'd be happy with McDonald somewhere between 3-5 to sit for a yr or 2 and compete with Kelly.

A second round pick for Carr would be a great deal, and if the Colts could get it done for pick#44, it becomes a steal.
It’s also a far better scenario than signing a washed up Rivers or rolling the dice in the draft with a talented but unknown commodity such as Love.
Ding..ding...! Agree 100%.

I'd be thrilled to see Carr with a horseshoe on his helmet. I'd rather have Carr than any of the FA QB's available. Unless we are able to get Herbert, Carr would be our best option IMO. With Carr we could draft best player available without reaching. The only QB's I would touch in the 1st round are Burrow, Tua & Herbert. Carr isn't a HOF QB but he is solid. He could help us make a SB run imo.

Love me some Mack Attack!

Im not saying I'm an advocate for trading up, but Herbert is actually my favorite QB in the draft. I would be thrilled if we landed him without giving up to much. Just my opinion but I think he'll be a very good NFL QB.

Absolutely take Foles AND a 1st round draft pick from the Jags!

Dak Prescott in your top 5 Franchise QB ranking???
I get the point of your thread but have to disagree on that one.
-
Trade 2nd round pick for Carr or Stafford, draft Kinlaw in the 1st and best available WR with our other 2nd. Then draft one of Gordon, Cole McDonald or Hurts with our 3rd round pick.

Trade for Carr and draft 3t.

Can you imagine if we signed Clowney and drafted Kinlaw at 13 and traded a 2nd for Carr. That would make our offseason truly amazing. A total game changer.
That would be BRILLIANT!

If we hire Baker as ASSISTANT D-line coach do we still need to hire a head D-line coach?

Any offense that has Brissett running it is a NO for me.

I don't know what it would take but I know what I'd give up. I'd be happy with giving up either of our 2nd rounders for him (not both). Anything better than that would just be a plus for me.

Derek Carr isn't great or even very good but he is good/better than average. He would be good with our O.line and TY Hilton. I would rather trade for him than draft any QB in this draft (Burrow excluded). Carr is just entering his prime at 28 and is strong. He still can play 10 more years. He is a proven NFL QB as well. Carr is better than JB and a nice upgrade. I would have us going 10-6 with him and feel good about it with the Line we have and run game we have. We still need another difference making WR and a DT though no matter how anyone looks at it.
I have been on the Carr bandwagon ever since the rumors came out that Gruden might be open to trading him. I like Carr alot. He's not a top 5, 1st ballot hall of fame QB but he is solid. If we could get him with one of our 2nd round picks I would jump on it in a heat beat. That would set us up perfectly for the draft to go BPA.

In regards to Chad Kelly...He MAY have the skills to play QB at a high level. But, is his head in the right place to be the leader of this team? Listening to Ballard, it sounded to me like the front office/ coaching staff do not fully trust him yet. They believe he's still got alot to prove and has to earn their trust. IMO we cannot roll into next season hoping Kelly has his head on straight and is ready to be the leader on & off the field.
