  1. Whether we like it or not, Texans have the bragging rights for the moment until we knock them off. National media all believe they are the team to beat, and even some are considering them the next threat to the Chiefs. To me, it’s an overreaction to think that, but I do think they are the kings of the south for at least another season.
  2. It's been a long free agency week. Feels like we've been doing this for 23 days.
  3. You know? I will say there is a subtle shift in Ballard's free agency this year compared to others. In the past he didn't seem to mind letting players walk and opted to find draft replacements and supplemental cheaper free agents. This season he was determined to keep most of the general player unit in tact.
  4. I can understand the worry with Anthony. I'm holding out hope that he avoids injury this season. If he does indeed get injured? Well, then Ballard and a lot of other staff and players better get their resumes updated unfortunately...
  5. The way I see it, we'll keep Sam on the roster for now until training camp. If a QB Ballard likes falls to him in the mid to late rounds in the draft, I could see him taking one. Then have the rookie compete against Sam in July and August.
  6. Good to see (read) your posts again. I feel the same way with the Snead situation. We’ll see what tomorrow brings.
  7. Perhaps ban-worthy? Honestly I’m all for an open forum but these posts are always the same and the formula is textbook trolling.
  8. Unfortunately won’t be the last… we’ll get this same post again and again and again and again…
  9. I think he’s always going to be a PJ Walker type of guy for us until some other team takes a chance with him.
  10. Is it unfair? Yes. But look, it’s now 2024. He’s been with the team and even though we don’t see his work, the rest of the team does. The coaching staff and Ballard know who Sam is. And for them he’s a QB3. Sorry.
  11. Another way to look at it: we didn’t get significantly worse after today. lol naw I think he meant Quandre Diggs
  12. Has tons of experience. Super Bowl winner, franchise QB. He should provide some good insight for Anthony to learn from this season.
  13. Pretty much... It was very strange because we'd get a huge sack for a loss, but then give up a major play essentially negating that sack. We had way too many 3rd and long conversions last year.
  14. Yeah I digged a bit and I think we're the only team stuck in a division like that.
  15. I'm sure there are others? There's only 9 total states with no income tax: Alaska Nevada New Hampshire South Dakota Tennessee Texas Florida Washington Wyoming Edit: Nope. I think we're the only team that's the odd man out.
  16. I'm not going to jump and say he sucks just yet. BUT, I will say Brian is going from Joe Burrow who was so intelligent with the playbook that they were able to quickly install a version of the Peyton Manning offense, to someone who is definitely not up to that sort of speed.
  17. Plenty of space, they're going to need to do something to slow down Stroud and Houston. I'm curious to see how that offense will work with Callahan and Levis.
  18. For those keeping score at home, this is where we stand at the moment. What do we think is our biggest need now as we kick off the new league year in a few hours? For me, I think it's safety, edge and backup QB.
  19. Yep. The more I think about it and from what Chris has said about the WR room (and now that Pittman has been signed), I think he might be taking an edge in the first round. That is unless we do something in the next week or so.
