  1. Uh. Most of the contracts expire either a year or two years before we even have to worry about paying Richardson. And if we are in the position that Richardson needs to be paid, it means he’s been successful.
  2. This is something a lot of people in all fan bases think, and it’s not really correct. Most Super Bowl winning teams had vet QBs on hefty contracts. Our window is actually closed right now until we see more from Richardson and he can make it an entire season.
  3. Fair enough. Appreciate the honesty man. I haven’t agreed with his approach in terms of defense for years.
  4. Because maybe, just maybe, they viewed that he wasn’t as good as people are making him out to be.
  5. lol you and AKB seem to be playing a game and you’re both winning. In all seriousness, I think Ballard isn’t making any “desperation” moves because he either doesn’t cave to being on the hot seat, and or Irsay has basically told him he has a few years to rebuild.
  6. His best bet is indeed this. Remains to be seen if the Colts feel the same way.
  7. We also have no idea if they’re any better than their father. We’ll find out eventually.
  8. So heading into opening day week the Reds have: Lost their top prospect for half the season due to PEDs making us wonder if he was only a top prospect because of said substances… TJ Friedl is out indefinitely with a broken wrist… which means he’ll probably be gone for most of the first half of the season. Star Matt McLain has a shoulder injury that gets worse and worse status updates by the day. Most are saying he’s done for the year. Oh and Brandon Williamson has a sore shoulder and Nick Lodolo won’t be back until the middle of next month… maybe. At least the Brewers lost their manager to the Cubbies, so maybe Chicago will do something this year?
  9. Colts also met with Troy Franklin (WR) and Byron Murphy (DT) around their pro days.
  10. S - Mark Perry (TCU) WR - Ramel Keyton (TEN) S - Chris Edmonds (ASU) OT - Travis Glover (GSU) LB - Jamal Hill (ORE)
  11. Hey by all means share away, I’m not the owner of this site. But if people are demanding Chris be let go and for Irsay to change his ways, well… they’re going to be waiting for some time. It’s about the same as yelling at the sky really. People are free to do it, but it doesn’t really change much. Maybe they feel better afterwards?
  12. I’m not even defending Irsay either. I’m just stating the reality of the situation. You can hate Irsay all you want, but you have 0 control of him and the team.
  13. Draft pedigree sure. But all are underachievers with their respective teams so far. Henderson was getting burned left and right last year. Perhaps Ryans will be able to get them play up to their draft potential. We’ll see.
  14. Naw, everyone and everything sucks. Burn it all down. Fire everyone and sell the team. /s
  15. Let’s not forget that one of the reasons Houston was able to retool and rebound was because they essentially had a fire sale a few seasons ago and amassed a lot of high round picks, which they used to regain lost talent.
  16. I seem to recall this type of progression from just this offseason: -If Ballard doesn’t retain Pittman he should be fired. *resigns Pittman -If Ballard doesn’t retain Stewart we’re in trouble. *resigns Stewart -If Ballard doesn’t retain Moore we’re screwed. *resigns Moore -If Ballard doesn’t sign more free agents he should be fired. *we are currently here.
  17. It’s something I really noticed on the sideline of that final game of the season. Sure in front of the press he’s all business, but man when he’s on the field with his guys, you can tell he’s not taking anything for granted. He’s living the best life he can possibly live and be the best version of himself. Thank you Colts production team for sharing a bit more of Coach with us! Shane is definitely the type of man who I want to stand alongside and support!
  18. Keeping Pittman, Stewart and Moore was fine. The other signings feel like plan b on the surface but honestly none of what’s transpired is surprising in the least. This is what he said he’d do leading up to free agency. Pick up a few guys but mostly sign our own. We may be done signing other free agents now that I think about it, because I think at the moment we’ve lost more than we’ve gained so that could earn us a comp pick.
  19. It’s very frustrating. I’m one of those weird fans that actually likes seeing the divisional opponents get better because it makes us better. I was a huge JJ Watt fan, it sucked to see that franchise not figured it out for his sake. Oh well… that’s basically how it goes for most players. Very few make it to the top.
  20. I think CJ is a fine QB so far. But I don’t think he’s at the level to really scare KC. Yet. Hell I’m a Bengals fan and I’m scratching my head seeing so many people claiming Burrow will unseat them… Back to Ballard: I agree he should be measured in division wins and titles. But for now it doesn’t seem like his boss is that worried about it.
  21. Does anyone really think any of the teams in our division stand a chance against Kansas in the playoffs? I don’t. Be happy to be proven wrong this season, but I think we’ll be witnessed a first in history 3-peat.
  22. I’m telling ya man, I’m not even a Ballard defender, I truthfully thought he was a goner after 2022 and to be honest think he should’ve been fired at that point. But what matters is what Irsay thinks. And at this point he’s probably more focused on recovering from his own demons and sickness. We’re stuck with Chris for the time being.
