  1. Mel Kiper was on with Rich Eisen the other day and talked about how pro days often don’t truly indicate how well a player will be. He said Leaf’s pro day was more impressive than Manning’s, and mentioned how JaMarcus Russell and Zach Wilson had some of the best pro days ever and look how they turned out. He said look for less and less players to even have pro days in the coming years, especially from the top prospects.
  2. I wish we had a care reaction similar to Facebook for moments like this.
  3. I think a lot of us feel we’ll take a slight step back this season with Anthony developing. I’d say with how calm the front office is they feel the same way. The real expectations are set for 2025.
  4. I’m seeing a lot of mock drafts showing us going CB in round 1. Jeremiah, Kiper, Reuter, and a few others. Jeremiah hears quite a bit. It’ll be interesting to see if what he’s hearing so far are false flags.
  5. I fully expect a lot of GM speak for that segment: “now look, we invested in DBs in the previous draft, we’ve picked up some good players who will take time to develop and we’re confident they can take the next step”. Expect a lot of that. Shane will most likely follow suit and be very Belichick-like in his responses.
  6. I imagine he’ll talk about the goal of bringing Pittman, Stewart and Moore back, and he and Steichen will compliment the WR room and backfield and talk about being young but learning. To be truthful, I’m not expecting too much to be gained that we already don’t know, unless someone directly asks him about the Sneed stuff and so on.
  7. He should be. Key word should. I would imagine he’ll be more in the public eye since Irsay will still be recovering. Speaking of doggos, glad you’ve got puppies! My corgi turns 3 this summer, time goes too fast…
  8. I agree about sacks, but included it as many post about it as a metric. As they say. We’ll see.
  9. It’s a reference to the fact that just a few months ago during and immediately after the season Shane was the scapegoat.
  10. Yeah… the same Shane that they thought were liars and thought weren’t good enough to be a head coach and now all of the sudden he’s going to be the savior? That Shane?
  11. I predict the fans will give themselves the credit for it. Shane, Ballard and Irsay will all take turns being burned and blamed as “flavors of the day”.
  12. Ballard will be on the hot seat and Bradley would be gone. Just to play devils advocate, what will you all say if the defense continues to collect a large amount of sacks, stays within the top 20 and we make the playoffs?
  13. Quality Edges and ends often go outside of the 1st round. Chris Jones says hello. Calais Campbell, Robert Mathis, Elvis Dumervil, Trent Cole, Aaron Smith, Jared Allen and Jason Smith also say hello.
  14. Yes. It’s pretty natural and common for championship winning teams to gain bandwagoners. I don’t think we’re at a point where the team itself is going to cause local fans to be less interested. Too many of us have suffered much worse years of football compared to now. The biggest threat to home game attendance is ridiculous pricing on tickets.
  15. That’s probably an issue for those who live away from the team. But Indianapolis has over 1 million people in the area and a good number of them support the local teams. Go further out and a large portion of the state supports the team. By that metric, the Chiefs are the most popular team in the nation and picked up a large amount due to a pop singer dating the tight end.
  16. Sad to say, but the state leaders don’t seem to like or care about the citizens that much… a lot companies and organizations will have a hard time bringing in talented individuals when there are much better states to live in… about all we have going for us is that it’s super cheap to own a home here, and even that’s starting to teeter out of control… and that’s all I’ll say about it.
  17. It also ends up costing you a lot of money in the long run if you have high turnover.
  18. If GMs and Owners listened to the fans coaches and players would be let go on a yearly, possibly game by game basis.
  19. Thats my problem with all of this right now. People are acting like they’re shocked at what we’re doing, when Chris very candidly explained during the combine this was exactly what he was going to do: resign our own vet free agents and add a few pieces here and there IF the situation presents itself.
