  1. I always go back to Full Metal Jacket lmao... "Here you are all equally worthless!" Sometimes as humans we take ourselves way too seriously as if we're way more important than we really are. Being a history teacher, I have come realize that most of us are not destined for "greatness". We won't be remembered in just a few generations' time. While some may consider that sad, I try to view it as liberating. I can do what I want with the time given to me to find my own happiness.
  2. Should be a very fun game, and the future is very bright for both franchises.
  3. My stance will always be: Why is it anyone else's business what anyone does? Want to get married and have kids? Great! No one should care. Want to have a career? Great! No one should care. Maybe want to have both a career and a family? Great! No one should care. I see so many people get upset over someone else's choices in life, and it confuses me as to why it should matter.
  4. https://www.espn.com/golf/story/_/id/40162983/scottie-scheffler-detained-police-prior-start-pga-championship Louisville PD man... That's all I can say.
  5. I will say that last tweet you posted is the definition of Burrow's career. Bengals much like Indy always start out slow and in a 0-1 or 0-2 hole to dig out of. Be nice if both teams change that narrative this year!
  6. Not just you. He really gives me Josh Allen vibes. Fantastic spiral, the ball just pops off the hands effortlessly too just like Josh.
  7. Yes, Cincy has a great opportunity to start fast, and quite frankly they need to. October will be where they make a statement for the division: Ravens twice and the Eagles in between. They should be able to take care of the Steelers later in the season. Browns on the other hand oddly just have Burrow's number. I expect a split on that series but wouldn't be shocked if the Browns sweep. End of the schedule looks pretty easy as well: Titans, Browns, Broncos, Steelers. Pretty much every game is winnable. If Burrow and the Bengals want to return to the Super Bowl, this year is the year to do it.
  8. Love the optimism! Having basically all 1PM games is nice too. Our guys can get into a nice groove with a consistent schedule. Funny enough I'm happy we don't have a Thursday Night Football game, I have a very small sample size of NFL players I've spoken with in life, but it's been pretty unanimous that it's their least favorite part of the season if scheduled when I've asked them about it.
  9. So do we think Kyler is still being monitored for his “Independent Study”? Asking for a friend!
  10. 10 for optimistic Thursday. But a lot can change leading up to the season. I’ll have a better feel for this team (every year is different) when we see them during training camp.
  11. I can’t believe how the Brewers keep doing this. Of the last 5 years they have basically the best regular season record in the MLB, yet they have historically one of the worst playoff records of all time. They’re like the Chargers…
  12. Yesterday David Bell pulled all of the starters and forced them to rest. De La Cruz was not happy with that decision. We have now lost 6 straight series, and have went 4-14 against west opponents. Up next? 7 games against the top of the league Dodgers and 3 games against the Padres. And yet somehow despite all this suckage, we’re only 3 games out of the wildcard. The NL is definitely having a down year this year.
  13. We’re built for bad weather games. Big punishing offensive lineman, JT, AR… plenty of options.
  14. And then Jets and Lions. 6 tough games requiring a lot of different styles to compete.
  15. The NFL deserves another Aaron Rodgers-less Jets season for being foolish enough to schedule that many games.
  16. Against the same player!!! He’s on the 49ers now and is projected to start.
  17. Last year we finally beat the Steelers and Patriots. Will we finally break our opening day curse? I’d love for us to beat NE, Pittsburgh, the Texans and at the Jags this season. Do all of those things and we might actually have a chance for playoffs.
  18. Don’t like facing a divisional opponent to start the season but I haven’t got what I wanted in years in terms of scheduling…
