    Sure dont lack confidence

Having said all that, it would not surprise me at all to see the game be a close, hard-fought contest that could very well be decided in the last minute or in overtime. I don't think that too many people on our message board are seriously thinking that the Chargers are going to go into Foxboro and blow out the Patriots.

On the other hand, here's what former Pats linebacker Jerod Mayo said to his former teammates as a warning: "If you go out there and average 3 yards a carry, this game will be over by halftime."

You guys think you can beat the pats?

Let's see. Chargers are 9-0 outside of of L.A., they're the only team to beat the Chiefs this year at Arrowhead, the only AFC team to beat the Seahawks in Seattle in the last 13 games at CenturyLink Field, the only team to ever come back from a 16 point deficit to beat the Steelers in Pittsburgh, the only team to cause a John Harbaugh coached team to be one and done in the playoffs, the only team to be a top 10 team in total and scoring offense and defense and oh, by the way, our All-Pro TE Hunter Henry is likely to play Sunday after being out all year.

I believe we have a chance.

The Chief fans need to look at all the games this weekend. The colts are the only team to blow out and dominate the game. All the others have been close and either team could of won. I hope that is a sign for us.

Not true. The Chargers (particularly the defense) dominated the Ravens for most of the game until the last 9 minutes, leading 23-3 until 6 1/2 minutes left. If the Charger defense and Gus Bradley don't inexplicably let their guard down until the 2nd last play of the game, they win by at least 20.

He's really a rookie IMO.  Didn't play last year I believe.

He played against the Raiders in the final game of the 2017 season. Andy Reid said that one of the biggest reasons that they traded Alex Smith and went with Mahomes had to do with Mahomes' performance in the Raiders' game and how management felt that he elevated the Chiefs' offense.

Having said that, the divisional playoff is his first postseason game and QB's in their first playoff game do not do well.

Man just read thru 12 pages of nonsense on chiefsplanet. We shouldn't even show up on Saturday. We stand no chance at beating them

They pull that nonsense with nearly every team, although the Seahawks freaked them out, especially coming after our team beating them at Arrowhead.

BAL is toast. I wouldn't be surprised if they lost the next 4. Have to be able to score to keep up with all of those teams...and a run-first option offense isn't going to get it done.

There was an article in the Baltimore Sun a day or two ago where the author of the article didn't exactly give the Ravens a thumbs up for beating the Raiders and didn't exactly like their chances going forward.

As of now it's a battle between ravens and colts for final wildcard spot. Not catching chargers. Aren't them and Texans sitting at 8-3? The wheels would need to fall off for both.

The Chargers are at 8-3. Even if the Colts and Chargers end up at 11-5, Chargers win a tiebreaker based on a better record in common games (Chargers 5-0, Colts 4-1).

  8. So it comes down to this. We haven't won anything....yet we have won so much. I have had a great week of reflection, remembering the lean years......the years after Jones to Carr had become a statistic. Those times where a 2 sentence comment in an out of state newspaper was all I had, helps to remind me just how rare this is.

I want to think that the pressure is on them, but this team of professionals put more pressure on themselves than all of us skirt riding, kite tail hanging fans could ever put on them. Like a dear Colt once said, "pressure is what you feel when you don't know what in the heck your doin".

Shout out for Manusky. Feel free to come clean if you were one of the naysayers. He had been brilliant. He took the rebuild from a 4-3 to a 3-4, lost our NFL leading sack master for the season, and has created pressure. We may not have a top 5 defense, but your eye test should at least admit, we get to people. Freeney and Sanders may have terrorized people, but we have not stuffed the run at the line of scrimmage like this team has in a long time.

I have watched the Pats fans and writers over the years. They are always confident....they are always brash and display a confident bravado. But this year there is something else.....they are worried. Perhaps even scared. You see their fans on our chat boards correcting our posts...telling us we are clueless, reminding us just how much they own us, calling our play by play a smurf, etc. It is the exact behavior that someone does when their comfortable control is about to be weakened. No....I am not saying we will win. If I did that...I would be them......and I would not ask to be that, even if it brought their titles with it. I am a Colt fan....and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Not matter the outcome tomorrow, accept it with class. If we win, win with class. If we lose, lose with class. Because win or lose, we know the quality that comes with being a Colt fan. I am proud that this team, this staff, and these fans absorb the noise, and look faithfully to the outcome. In many ways, we have already won.
