  1. I would love Sneed, but the only way I’m giving up our No. 1 is if it’s a pick swap. We need to start getting top quality talent at the top of the draft
  2. I can see Ballard signing White given we shore up at safety. But, he tends to wait until week 2 to bring in these vets on visits/physicals before a signing
  3. I think he’s good enough to keep on the team as our punter. Colts have also said he’s one of the better placement holders in the league. He can kickoff well if needed too.
  4. As long as he gets less than 2.5 a year, I’m good with it. Because Townsend was available for 3 mill
  5. I believe I saw that Buckner, Nelson, Kelly, & Smith can all restructure/extend to save us $15-$20 million. I expect one or two will get done in the next week
  6. There are honestly some good FA’s out there. My top realistic targets: Grab one of each the next couple of days (including our own (Blackmon, Kenny) Safety: • CGJ • Julian Blackmon • Justin Simmons Edge: • Josh Uche • Chase Young CB: • Kendall Fuller • Kenny Moore • trade for veteran (Sneed, etc) WR (if we target another one): • Curtis Samuel • Marquise Brown (would be the perfect fit for ARICH) • Tyler Boyd
  7. Huntley, Winston, & Tannehill are all available. I wouldn’t be surprised if we wait a few days to let the market cool down & sign whoever is left of the 3.
  8. Or like a guy in the draft this year as a backup. We’ll see. Shocked we didn’t shell out 4 million per for Moss
  9. Very possible. Did any of our young corners grade out well in the slot? Maybe his thought is to pay a stud outside corner & let the young guys fight for the 2 & 3 spot. We might not be able to afford both Kenny & Sneed
  10. I go back & forth on this as well. But, • Grover Stewart - top 2-3 NT on the market. • Kenny Moore • top slot corner • Michael Pittman - top WR available if not tagged (arguably tied at 1 with Higgins) Blackmon is a young safety that’s going to be much cheaper than other options. He is replaceable but should be an affordable resign. Ballard’s approach has always been sign your own guys, sign 1-2 2nd tier impact players in FA, & use the draft to build the team. We’re all hoping he signs a top tier difference maker but they have to want to play for Indy too.
  11. Call me crazy… BUT The Falcons will be a legit contender the next few years with the right FA deals & a great draft.
  12. Yeah, that would have been a great contract. However, he probably preferred a place he could start
  13. Didn’t even think of Jimmy G as an option. The raiders are still him a good amount of money too I believe
  14. Franklin’s contract starts AFTER next year based upon the reports I heard. So it shouldn’t affect 2024 at all
  15. Let’s go! Under 24 million per year. Locked down for next 3 years all while ARICH & Downs are on rookie deal. Our window starts now. Most recent report says UP to 71.5 million. Curious what the base is going to be
  16. Colts resign Zaire Franklin. Looks like a really good deal. Curious if it’s 3 year extension with Year 1 starting this upcoming season or the next (essentially putting him under contract for 4 more years).
  17. This is strictly speculation & a projection, correct? Haven’t seen anything on it elsewhere
  18. Nobody has mentioned the part where he says “it was like a college game.” It made me think. So many people worry that these young players can’t deal with the crowd noise. But, Stroud is right. These big college football programs often have much louder, crazier fans than the NFL.
  19. Pittman is a very interesting case. He’s not a top 10 WR, but he’s a borderline #1 who is a clear #1 for our team. Our best bet is to pay him & hope we draft a stud WR who can be the legit #1. We can’t afford to pay 2 #1’s.
  20. The good news is that the Texans have a stacked schedule. The Jags got a little lucky getting Las Vegas over Denver. But, glad we play the Giants & Steelers over the Eagles/Browns
  21. I don’t think we need to do that this year. We have a lot of players to resign in the next 1-2 years. Although, it would make sense given Steichen’s history with the Eagles & Hurts. Let him develop a bit & then make a big splash at WR There is a lot of top talent at WR in this draft tho.
  22. I didn’t realize we could jump up that much. That’s something we could be happy about. I figured we’d be at 18th or 19th. That’s more than a 3rd round pick in value to move up 4-5 spots.
