  1. this is fun watching the patriots get better surronding tom brady with talent and we cant even get peyton a o line. colts front office is weak. ridiculus

Dude, they used a 4th rounder last year and a first and second this year.

  2. I was just thinking that if we kept improving our o line through this coming year's draft, then we'd be able to take less hits on manning, be able to run the ball, be able to run it on third and one and keep the drive going and keep our bloody awful "d" off the field. Benefits our whole team, anyone else agree?

I think it's a matter of the last 2 years ol draft picks coming together. And hopefully quickly.

  3. Painter is not aweful he's a pretty good QB for a backup, how you gonna criticize a guy who played his first game against the number one defense then his next game in a snowy weather? This preseason Painter threw a pic then came back the next drive and brung the colts down the field to get a field goal....

Now this whole thing about no one will be able to replace peyton, peyton is a great QB but not the best. Im as die hard a colts fan as it can get but tom brady is better. We always blame the short comings of the team in the playoffs on either the defense, special teams or line but never manning... Peyton is the best REGULAR SEASON QB ever, when it comes to Post season.. ehhh idk if its pressure or what but he's not the peyton from the reg season. I think if the colts got a good QB who got some good coaching the colts would still be a team to reckon with.

we are not comparing him to peyton,he is not any good even for a back-up.He has been in the system for 3 years and yet he constantly overthrows open men.Show me where he has been good, the throw to garcon?Where is there some kind of consistency? But hey don't take the obvious from me, ask a nfl scout like bucky brooks on nfl.com.How did feely the back-up qb for the rams look?

  4. This is off Rich Smith twitter page

NFL UPDATE- Reports are that TJ Houshmandzadeh would prefer to play for Indianapolis Colts, however Vikings are offering more money.

Reports are surfacing that Free Agent WR TJ Housmandzadeh could sign with either Colts/Vikings decision expected today.

Looks like he's either coming here or Minnesota

If his goal is to win then he should come here.

  5. I didn't even know about this. I've heard a lot of talk about the spot of the kickoff being moved forward 5 yards, but I didn't know that the defenders on the kicking team could no longer take a running start. I'm surprised that hasn't been included in the conversation more. Yeah, pushing the kickoff 5 yard further downfield might discourage returns, but not allowing the defenders to have a running start could negate that and actually lead to more returns. It will be interesting to see how this plays out through the course of the season.

Was this rule put in to reduce injuries?

  6. McNabb was/is an average QB at best. He was put into a marvelous situation in Philly (aside from fans). He just can't throw, simple as that. The guy had a career completion percentage of 59% in Philly. In the West Coast Offense. Ugh, ugly.

Yea,he stunk 5 championships. He was a non factor in the success of those teams.Stats mean jack, how many wins did he have? His career qb rating is 85.7 and td to int ratio is 230-115,pretty darn good.Average i think not.
