Yes he made a few plays,but how about the short outs that were horribly thrown short?Those passes have to be made in the pro's and will certaintly kill drives when the games start to count.

1991 for me. I was just old enough to understand what footbal was and my dad told me they were the hometown team so I became a Colts fan. 1-15 that season but I remeber being super excited when they beat the Jets for that one win!
lol, small world,I was at that game.Never forget it, the return by clarence verdin .The weather was terrible that day.I remember going crazy when he returned the td,some jet fan's looked like they wanted to kill me.Venturi going crazy on the sidelines,i was so happy because i did not want to go 0-16.

The texans will need time to adjust to phillips new scheme,hope we can take advantage of that week 1.Also not a big fan of kubiack and i think schaub still has to prove he can take the next step.

Um if you look at his rookie season numbers compared to other rookie QBs you'll see Manning had one of the best rookie seasons ever by a QB and as a matter of fact holds several rookie records for a QB.
I think it was td passes by a rookie.

1. Gradkowski
2. Quinn
3. Josh Johnson
I kind of like him as well,not that talented but a tough kid who will give you everything he has.

If i was painters agent why would i be on here defending painter lol plus with the way he's playing i dont think his salary wouldve paid my bills.
Yes i think one of his agent's job's is to protect him and defend him.Unless he is cut he will get his money.

I did say we dont win without peyton. but we all saw what happens when peyton doesnt have the skilled players out there that know what they are doing. i think a few games we had collie,addia,clark, and pierre out. and a combination of them most of the end of the season. Manning did what he could do, which was better then anyone else, with the fill in players. but he had a really rough stretch there just trying to win a game. he willed us into the playoffs dont get me wrong. But i just dont see that happening again if we dont have our skilled players healthy and ready to go.
Peyton can grind out wins when his weapons are out,that's why he is so special.

I will say this. I love Peyton, and we dont win with out Peyton. But our team is a b+ to a- with our offense healthy. Not just Peyton. We need wayne,addai, brown, collie, clark, pierre all healthy and ready to play everygame. with out this well oiled machine working well, then this team is a c+-b-. period! we will not be elite without all of them playing this year. maybe i am wrong..i hope i am wrong
True we have skilled players on offense,but without peyton who get's them the ball?

I think everyone is getting the wrong idea here. I'm not calling for the firing of Caldwell, at this point before the season. I'm just really back tracking and asking why was this guy ever hired and if Manning comes out and suffers an injury and is gone for the season, and the Colt's lose 12 games, which will happen, will they get serious about the head coaching job?
If peyton does not play,and they lose 12 games like you say, i think caldwell will not be fired.I think the front office understands this.

I will summarize it like this,if peyton is playing,than we will compete for a championship.In my mind everything else matters ,very little.
