  1. Call me crazy but polian would never cut brown or hughes, and admit that he messed up.On top of that throw in ugoh and polian is whiffing on first rounders{UGOH was a second rounder but we gave up a first}.This missing will cost us.I know polian does well with undrafted players but this is killing us.

  2. I've never been very worried that he won't get out there and play, I'm more concerned with can he hold up over a long season with being hit. It's nasty to think about, but there are enough guys that will aim high if given a shot at him and he took way too many shots last year.

Are you really concerned or hopeful he doesn't hold up?

    Notes

    • That’s right, there’s no Curtis Painter. I sat and thought, why would we keep Painter after we signed Kerry Collins to a 2 year deal. We can also always draft a QB in the draft. I think Painter Is done.

    • I think Terrence Johnson beats out Brandon King, he’s really done well in the preseason, and King has done nothing. Has he even played?

    • Moten barely makes the roster

    • Ryan Diem officially moves to RG, moving the old #1 Mike Pollak to LG. LG is arguably our weakest position on the team. We need a good safe player in there. Pollak is that player. Reitz becomes the backup for Pollak, and Devan for Diem. With this move happening, Ijalana gets the starting RT spot over Link.

    • Delone Carter doesn’t beat out Donald Brown, due to the fact that he’s only played 4 preseason games against backups, and Donald Brown has played in the regular season, and has had some real good games. Delone may beat out DB during the year.

    • Jacob Lacey is starting for now, but don’t be surprised if Tryon takes over soon.

    • Chick, King, Evans and Rucker don’t make the roster, but they make the practice squad. Odds are the Colts are going to have some injuries this year, so if it happens at DE, DB or RB, we’re covered. We also have a WR, a TE, a T, and a C/G on the practice squad.

    • Eric Foster and Tyjuan Hagler officially get released before the season starts

    • You should be happy to see Chip Vaughn is gone

    • Don’t forget about Justin Snow, he’s apart of the team too!

That’s my prediction. Tell me if I forgot anybody. What are your thoughts on the prediction?

Reitz will be the starter at LG.

  4. Couldn't agree more, Smitto.

Let us see him in an iso situation without a FB. Or w/out Leach, if he can go for 1300+ for another year or two in either of those situations, he will arrive. Last year was just that, a year. Let us see it in multiple years. Shaun Alexander ran wild too... then he was out of the league.

If he is good as alexander, then they have a player.Shaun made the probowl 3 times and was a mvp.You made may want to change your rb comparisons.

  5. If you watched our games this pre-season, YES, there are many concerns. GB game was an improvement but not an answer. Peyton will not have the protection he once had (prior to 3 years ago) and this could be the worst offensive line in 10 years.

Are you still living in a van down by the river?

  6. Nobody did, but I'm pointing out that Manning can make that line look better than it is. It shows with painter under center at times. The line was more than average that year. We actually had somewhat of a running game that year. Getting addai over 1000 yards and rhodes being a solid compliment showed that years line was good. They did a good job of pass blocking as well. They played like a top 5 unit when in the superbowl and it let to a win. If link plays like he did yesterday, it's going to make that line look below average. The team does need a good line. How else are we going to be able to be successful if we can't give whoever is under center decent protection? The left side did fine and so did saturday. Overall diem did well, but if link plays like that in pass protection again it doesn't matter who is under center they're going to have a long day.

Wrong,we were 32nd in the league, dead last.I want to date a super model, life just ain't fair.We are what we are.Joking aside i believe the o-line will get better as soon as these guys begin to know what their position is.I might be wrong, though.I was talking about the 2009 super bowl season.

  7. Just cause he might make the o-line 'look' better doesn't mean it is better. He can make them look good in stats by not taking many sacks, but it doesn't make them a top 5 O-line.

Right side of O-line was NOT solid. Run blocking was decent, but link was terrible at pass blocking. Matthews blew by him and so did 2nd stringers. He looked like he was statue and matthews was going around him at the speed of light. D-line can be fierce, but I'm a bit skeptical on a few parts. Hopefully link does better next game and proves he can be a good starting RT.

Who said they were a top 5 line? They made it to a super bowl with a average line. This team does not need to be a top 5 unit to be successful.

  8. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I really hope Tommie Harris makes this team. If we cut him, we will have a weaker defense for it. We haven't had a guy capable of getting a push up the middle like he does since Freeney and Mathis have beer here. He makes their jobs MUCH easier, and they should be his biggest advocates to make the team. Teams always step up in the pocket on us to neutralize Freeney and Mathis. With a guy like Harris, QBs are often forced to step out of the pocket and it's easy pickens for the best two pass rushers off of the ends in the game today.

I think harris has made the team, barring a injury.
