Also I bet a deal gets done at 6am ish on Sat. The Colts wold have tagged him if they thought he would not sign. At the very least if they expected to let him see what was out there they would have used the Transition Tag..

I would think preseason would be good. Thru regular season it would kill continuity. Besides you could have a practice or skills warrior and a no show on game day..at what cost? A win? Injury?

My 2 cents...if Donald Brown was the best chance at RB where has he been? Everyone acts like thus guys has ran for 1000 yards in a season..I remember Donald missing a block and Peyton yelling !#)/ Donald..As for Holmes I think its great he sat out a year to learn. Jeff Saturday didnt start right away..people act like we were a 5-11 team...

I would be OK trading up with our 2nd this year and 2nd next year but for a G,C,T or Clowney..But I think we have value with our 2nd this year.

to be fair, freeney said he wouldve stayed for even a small amount to retire a colt, and they didnt even give him an offer

Only after the fact he let them know he was looking for crazy money..I didnt hear him say that before the Colts didnt resign him..if he said I will stay and retire a Colt for 2 mil a year the FO would do it in a heart beat...

If Bethea wants to be a Colt he will be. This happens every year...Freeney, Garcon, David Thorton...these guys follow the money or have their agents let the FO know what they are looking for pay wise..there is always someone willing to pay a crazy amount for the players second contract. That was the Colts during the Polian era..

While at the combine Marshal Faulk said that when a WR or RB jumps to catch the ball he isnt confident in his hands and has to contort his body in air. With that said perhaps DB isnt sure about getting YAC without scanning the field before taking off..

Correct me if I am wrong but the upcoming playoffs are his second time in his career. You know he has to be glad he isnt on the Lions anymore..makes for a great spoksman when we are bringing in free agents next year..he can describe the feeling of being in a winning organization.
