The fairytale story for all Peyton fans and in many ways would make life easier for the management would be Luck wanting himself out of Colts. Then we can trade and draft all the good players we need.
Of course the premise is Peyton being fully healthy.
-
He's not nervous and he's not jittery people. He just LOST a bowl game and the last game of his collegiate career. He's not happy about that and probably wants to be alone. Dang stop thinking of him only as a player or piece of meat and imagine him as a person. Imagine how he feels right now after a loss and his last college game ever. So many emotions. AND THEN here comes the reporter to top it off coming to ask him the same questions about the Indianapolis Colts and Peyton Manning. You can see he's anticipating the entire time and is dreading it. Cmon people.
Precisely my thought.

imagine what Peyton Manning haters would say if Eli got 2 rings
I can imagine
-
I would say I have a man crush on him, but im a chick.. so.. guess its justa crush.. <3
Lot of chicks in a sports forum, good to see
-
Who the heck would want to be the GM of a team that won't allow him to make an important decision?
Manning - Yeah that name is bigger than GM
-
Yep, Want Eli to go all the way.
Brotherhood rivalry will make Peyton want another one .
-
never mind. see you in another thread...
LOL, have a good one bud
-
You did see that I said that was Peyton's best playoff run. Your a bit pedantic, eh?
Wait, few minutes ago you didnt remember anything, didnt see or didnt even like football?
-
yes, i don't remember anything, I didn't see.. I don't even like football
Like your honesty

Here is the difference, if Brady plays bad he can still make the throws that count and win the games. Manning cannot, his rating is higher but I would bet it isn't when it counts. The average is for career but lets step back to pre Giants SB and re-run the numbers and see who's on top?
Don't get me wrong I want the pats to fail and I want Manning to win us a SB next season but you just can't argue with facts.
I am only talking facts buddy.
I think the drive Manning had with 2.17 remaining at the AFC championship game was good enough. Apparently it isnt.
-
No that average is for entire career till date.As of recently yes. I agree. -
by a whopping 2 points....
Its still better. So based on your logic, lets conclude Brady is poor in playoffs?.
-
Poor Performance? Um have you been watching the Colts in the playoffs? They define poor performance and Manning looked especially bad vs the Saints.
Manning's record: 9-9
Brady's Record: 14-4
Brady's stats are almost identical to Manning's except Manning has more attempts and more interceptions. I am also going to tell you that recently Brady has not been good in the playoffs either with more than 1/3 of his interceptions coming since they lost the superbowl against NYG.
QBR of Manning is better than Brady.
Also, I have already explained about the Saints game before.
-
What loss are you talking about. Are we even reading the same thread?
Coming from your own comments about Peyton playoffs performances, Scroll up if you forget what you typed. Also, how about not ignoring Peyton's performances with Ravens and Patriots?.
-
This is irrelevant to Peyton's poor playoff performance and stats.
Define poor performance and for stats his playoff stats are better than Brady. Dont type random statements. Quantify them.
-
My point is that Peyton was bad for most of that game.
How did Peyton play against Ravens and patriots?.
And lets say Peyton was bad and we still won the SB. What does that say, its a team game. Now lets stop balming him for the loss.
-
If you'll recall the D actually showed up and carried the load for that run. I think the team that lost to the Saints was Peyton's best playoff performance. The argument that Peyton is the G.O.A.T stops at the Playoffs, he's not always great in those situations.
Guess you didnt watch the SB, did you.
There are several key moments in the game.
Right before the half time, Caldwell called 3 running plays for 1 yard and couldnt convert.
Garcon dropped a sure touchdown pass.
Hank Baskett's fumbled and dropped an onside kick.
They are 17 points swing here.
-
Listen, one SB win agianst possibly the worst SB team ever is not that good, and if you remember we trailed for a good portion of that game.
Really, what is your point here?.
Its not Peyton or Colts problem that they have a weak team in SB ( if you call that team weak ). If you watched other games during that playoffs, Colts beat Ravens and Patriots to get to SB.
I am finding it hard to comprehend your thought process.
-
. Peyton's playoff performances have been dissapointing to say the least.
53 players and coaching staff win SB. There are so many playoff games i can find fault in other players and coaches. Stop pointing them to Peyton. He is a major part but when playoffs comes other components have to deliver as well.
-
No, you're not "just saying" that. You were taking a pot shot at Manning because you are high on the Luck Kool-Aid. Wanting to rebuild is one thing, but taking low blows at the greatest player to ever play for your franchise is ridiculous.
Well said

Why live life without passion?
Sallu to that

Can you imagine the media build up of a Superbowl between a Luck led Colts and a Manning led (insert team here). Not only would that be a very scary prospect but it would make the ESPN's, Foxes, and NFL Networks of the world go stark raving MAD!!!!
Passionate dreamer aren't you
-
He is a great qb but everyone is acting like he's won all these super bowls and is just unstoppable in the playoffs. He has made big mistakes in big moments several times. He is without a doubt one of the all time greats but it might be time to move on. I would hate for that to happen but if irsay feels its best then it is.
Move on to a college player cutting Peyton?. To me, as Irsay said both can co-exist. What's the problem there unless Luck doesn't want it ( I doubt it ).
-
i agree. But i also cant see a first overall pick not start for 2-5 years.
Sure, but usually when you have a 1st overall pick, you aren't competing against GOAT either. First time for everything.
Anybody Else Switched On Eli?

Not really, they will start vandalizing Peyton
