Sunglasses at Night by Corey Heart is a song out of that 80s poprock ilk that I like. It needed to be covered by an 80s heavy metal band really.

Jules I worked at a retail store for 4 dreadful years. Those stations in those stores pay the stores to play them 24/7 and they get in trouble if they take it off. We're probably thinking of the same station because that was 1 of the songs in what seemed like the 10 song play list when I worked there.

And it's the 5 worst songs that are overplayed...I could go for some Achilles Heel or Whole Lotta Love but it's nonstop All of my Love and that dumb some with the whistle whose name escapes me. Play some real heavy metal if you want a challenge Bog not the false metal. With Ozzy it's obviously Crazy Train and Mama I'm Comin' Home which is a shame.

Wow this is all spot on. The 90s were the most boring, lame decade ever outside of football and wrestling (which imploded before the end of the decade even). Grunge was a breath of fresh air even though I never got tired of 80s heavy metal but who had more than 2 good albums? A few bands while the others only had 1. Meanwhile everybody ignores how the 80s survivors still carried us through the 90s (Ozzy, Metallica etc). Same goes for the tiny amount of tolerable Alternative. 

Led Zeppelin is my Pink Floyd of this thread. O listen...All of my Love is on. What a rocker. Can we please play something else? I've heard this 10 times today.

My local, bland, repetitive, radio station played Poison by Alice Cooper the other day. Go to YouTube and watch the Beat Club version of I'm Eighteen.
