  1. With minshew being our starter right now it got me thinking. Where would he rank amongst the backups we have had since the manning days. Out of these and if I forget any please feel free to add them. We got minshew, brissett, Jim sorgi, Sam ehlinger, Curtis painter (yuck) that’s all I can think of off the top of my head. Who would you say are the top 3 if you had to have one fill in for a season and not to tank but to win games lol.
  2. The way I look at it, sure it sucks that AR is out but if you remember….. right after the draft, half of the people on here thought we would be better off if Richardson sat on the Bench for most of the year until he was “ready” and let minshew be the starter. So basically we are where many people on here thought we would be anyways. Doesn’t make the hurt any better but at least we know AR can play. The question is can he stay healthy??
  3. I’m glad he’s back but with him missing a quarter of the season I’m still concerned about his play this year. If you look at his previous years it has always taken him 4-5 games to get going. I remember his first season people wanted him cut because his “ vision” was terrible. Then around the 4th game something clicked and he became the player we all love. Same for the year after that minus the calls for him to be cut. It took him a few games to start producing. Last year I’m not going to count because of obvious reasons but if history is a predictor it’s going to take him awhile to start playing well.
  4. Man with all this worry about qb injuries and the whole luck saga, can you guys believe how lucky and spoiled we were by having a unicorn like manning play so many consecutive games without injury?? I only speak for myself, but I totally didn’t appreciate how fortunate we were until seeing how easy it is for a qb to get hurt, even if they are just a drop back passer and never run.
  5. I think the best case scenario this year is for Richardson to stay healthy and get better and better and for us to get the #1 pick, trade that to a hopefully qb needy team around the 3rd pick or so for a kings ransom, and get Marvin Harrison jr and a bunch of other good picks.
  6. It looked the spot was horrible after the 3rd down. I thought he had it by at least a yard.
  7. It’s also the way he makes tackles reminds me of when the warrior would run on the ropes and bump chests with his opponent and always knock them down. Maybe not wrestlemania 6 against the immortal hulk hogan but everyone else he knocked down with ease. It seems Stuart always makes tackles with his chest and not his arms lol. I think we found a diamond in the rough with this guy. I really do.
  8. I dunno if he will be good or not but this dude just explodes off the tv like no one I’ve seen since bob sanders did. Maybe it’s the long hair but he reminds me of the ultimate warrior running down to the ring for some reason lol.
  9. This may be in the wrong section but I was just wondering if anyone has been following the other teams around the league and their rookie QBs. How have they looked so far this year and how has Richardson looked in comparison?
  10. With all the good qb prospects coming out next year It got me thinking. God forbid we end up with a top 1-3 pick next year and let’s say Richardson looks mostly lost out there, do you think we draft another qb next year or do we pass on the so called “ bettter qb prospects” and stick with Richardson and draft someone like Harrison??
  11. I remember a guy on the colts who everyone said was too short and was a tackling machine. What was name????? Bob……..something??? No but being for real odds are that he wont be an all time great like bob was when healthy but he could def be a good player for us and an important hidden gem for us.
  12. What about before Johnny u? What did qbs do? Did qb back then run alot more than they did in let’s say the last 4 decades?? Are the modern “dual threat qbs” more like the original QBs in the roles they play? Btw I understand todays qB are way more athletic but I’m curious how often the QBs back then dropped back for passes compared to taking off with the ball. Did they run a lot of run pass options back then?
  13. Forgive me this may be in the wrong section but with all the talk of the new way the nfl is using all these “dual threat qb” and the colts getting Richardson it got me thinking. Is the nfl going back to its original roots of how qb used to play? I’m not the most informed when it comes to nfl history that’s why I’m asking this but before guys like Johnny Unitas revolutionized the qb game what was the main job of the qb during the 40/s, 50/s and 60/s? I know they didn’t pass as much back then so……were they more like todays qb or were they just guys who handed the ball off to the RB and helped manage the game? Thanks for any info. I appreciate it.
  14. Thank you so much. It’s been a heck of an ordeal. I had it in my spine and the pain in my legs from the nerves was excruciating. I had surgery and they removed it so I feel much better. The chemo hasn’t been that bad either. I’m half way done and so far only got sick twice. I’m losing my hair now so that’s kind of rough but it will grow back. It def makes you less patient with your sports teams because you worry about the future. You want your teams to win now not lose and get good draft picks lol. Thanks again for the kind words.
  15. That flip blew me away too! What was his freaking vertical on pro day anyone know? It was like he jumped 5 feet off the ground when he did that flip lol. He has got to be one of, if not the most athletic qb to ever play the game. Will that make him a great qb we will see. If he can slow the game down and process the info and get better accuracy watch out!!! He’s going to be something special.
  16. I would trade him in a heartbeat. Have you seen what he looks like now?? I probably have a better physique than luck and I’m taking chemo for cancer lol. No but foreal he probably lost as much mass as Jeff Saturday did.
  17. He’s really new to the position and very athletic. He’s only going to get better. Def a project but maybe he can be good depth or even a starter one year.
  18. I really love this pick. This guy is fast! He’s got some of the longest freaking legs I’ve ever seen. Once he hits that stride he’s gone. I dunno why but mark my words this guy is going to be a fan favorite one day and really good.
  19. Come on ballard. Quit trading back. My nerves are killing me.
  20. How well does Richardson stack up athletically compared to running qb of the past such as Vick, Lamar Jackson, etc? I’m talking about coming out of college btw not how well they ended up being or are currently. How does his arm stack up compared to them when they came out of college? Thanks.
  21. If ballard isn’t 100% in love with the top qbs I think we should get Anderson at 4 and get hooker later in the draft but what do I know.
  22. Man this off-season reminds me of the one after we got rid of manning. It seems like we are losing a lot of people to free agency, and like always, we are not making any huge improvements. Oh, and that little thing called a Qb is still needed as well. Next year is gonna be rough.
