SInce he isn’t signed yet I bet no one is offering him a crazy long term deal. At his age he might be willing to sign a two or three year deal. There was a tweet the colts contacted his agent.
He was never getting more than a 2-3 yr deal. Most players never get more than a 3 yr deal....guaranteed anyway.

That may be true. But is the upside not there? If Funchess gets 10m+ wouldn't a more athletic version be worth it?
I could be wrong I don't watch a ton of chargers.
I watched a couple chargers games and honestly didn't notice him at all....and he was the reason I tuned in. Granted, that's a small sample size.

It's been pretty quiet on the tyrell Williams front. Has anybody heard anything.
I doubt we're in the mix with the Funchess signing but it's not out of the realm of possibility. Especially if the price is reasonable.
He has been overhyped a bit on this forum.

That ring won’t pay for your retirement, we’ve seen many broke athletes auction theirs off. I will never criticize someone for doing what’s right for their family/future. NFL is crazy, it can all end in one play.
they went broke due to poor money management.
that said, I'm all for players making as much money as they can.

no. overpaid. top 20 pay for being the 81st WR in YPG... outside of the top 50 in all advanced stats. poor catch rate, not as athletic as Ebron who is 20+Lbs heavier. the biggest thing though, is he just doesn't fill the WR2 need (someone that can extend the D, and take double coverage pressure off TY).
Funchess is more athletic than Ebron

I fell in love with Fountain during the pre-draft process last year. I think he might have a leg up on a Cain returning from major surgery...for this year, at least.
Fountain doesn't have a leg up on anyone.

Big time free agents? Lol, the guy had 4 sacks. I like Preston smith, but def not going to miss any sleep over not signing him.

I'm done. Collins goes for $14 million and we sign a garbage receiver in Funchess for $13 million. F Ballard. Can't take this anymore.
i predict this will age poorly.

so you are comparing this to letting mack go. i believe the radiers did say they were trying to keep him for a while, but it started to look like mack didnt want to be there anymore
Mack, Amari Cooper, even Denice Autry. Then they sign guys like brown marshawn lynch and jordy Nelson. I know they have signed some younger guys, but I don't get signing guys that are 30+ when they are in rebuild mode.

why is that relevant? do you think they shouldnt try to get good players on the team because they were not very good last year? hell they might have beat us if they had brown, and maybe a few other games go differently too
It's because they got rid of young talent and then decided to pay old talent. Great recipe for success.
-
Great, the raiders might actually hit .500 before Brown's contract is up.

Use the money on desir instead of Inman. If the colts sign Williams, draft Campbell, and use Cain, Inman won't see the field much.

Never know the Jets stink , money talks but it depends on too how bad he wants to win. Jets aren't going anywhere.
I dunno, Sam darnold was looking good late in the season and is bound to get better under Gase. I think they could be headed in the right direction anyway.

I would quite pleased with Humphries and Amos. Ansah too injury prone.

Luck had the second most passing yards in the league. I dont think we are hurting as bad as many believe.
You have TY, Inman, hopefully Caine, Johnson and then don't forget we have Hines Ebron and Doyle. Luck loves to throw to the TE's I think we may add a WR in FA, but it wont be an AB type of player.
A top pick on a WR would be a wasted pick much like the Dorsett pick was.
I'm not a fan of taking receivers in the first round, but just because Dorsett was a bust doesn't mean it would be a wasted pick.

Maybe try broading your horizons. New guys excited about the off-season. Try not to be such a d. How about offering some constructive ideas. I’m not a crowder fan. Humphries was great last season. All depends what the asking price is. Grant Was a WAS cast off. I’d rather have Tate as a slot.
Might want to remove that stick.

I obviously didn't watch him play every game so I'm not sure but wasn't he PFFs highest graded corner back, a pro bowl selection and a superbowl winner who made the game sealing play?
Probably not a bad year all in all.
1 no idea
2 who cares, it's the pro bowl
3 that pass was a dying quail

Have you seen it? That wasn't an issue for me at all. I enjoyed it.
Oh, that's good news. I heard the reviews have not been kind. I've like Brie Larson since "The United States of Tara", but I wasn't sure she pull off Captain Marvel.

Did Abram get the ok at the combine? I think he failed his physical at the senior bowl.

Well then we miss out on good players and they go to other teams.
Just because they haven't panned out for us before doesn't mean it's the wrong thing to do. The Patriots splashed out on Stephon Gilmore and that worked for them.
You can't just ignore a whole swathe of potential recruits because we didn't draft them originally and they are good enough to be expensive. We have to pick good players up from every opportunity available.
Wasn't Gilmore benched last season? I honestly don't know how well he has played during his tenure in NE, but he made a lot of money.

A lot of fans have Cain already penciled in as a starter in 2019 which is ridiculous.
Not really. People have high hopes....nothing wrong with that.
7 hours ago, Fluke_33 said:This alleviates some concern I had. I didn’t think he would be back for the start of the season and I figured they may even use the ir on him and have him come in mid season but if they are pumping out his progress they must be confident.
Its a good sign
He was injured before the season even started.
