I think the misdirection game is in full swing… drive up the trade value of picks 3,4, etc. then we trade back (like we intended all along after Carolina moved up). RD1 G, CB, WR, DL would be welcome addition.
Same: Pick 4 and 79… for 10/30
BPA at positions of need OL, WR, QB,
10. Skoronski G ( run game- protection)
30. Flowers WR (much needed WR3)
35. Hooker QB
They are all football fictionaries that want to toy with my hopes, dreams, delicate pigskin sensibilities. Who the hell is Mel… because you know he practices that delivery in the mirror every morning.
QB3 or QB4 is not going to do what you are asking. Build the defense first IF DE1, DT1 is there or trade back… DE3 and a top CB1,2,3 We beat KC and DEN last year. (By playing Defense) shoot for Williams or Mays next year.
That’s understood. That is why giving them the min in compensation IF we go after Lamar. I think we should go BPA at a position of need until we find our guy. It’s not Levis or Richardson. Wasted pick for at least for 1-2 years.
I would be surprised the Colts take Mr. Body Shots (Narcissism) or Mr. Back Hand Springs as the next face of the franchise. For me, Anderson or Carter or Trade back.
Not sure if this would work, but Anderson or Carter at #4 then get Lamar for (trade up from pick 35 to RD1 pick 32 and next years 1st Rounder… (2 firsts is the comp to the ravens for Lamar correct?)
Houston having 2 firsts this year and 2 firsts next year. What if Houston values Williams or Mayes QB next year as the better option? Houston goes Anderson, Wilson or Carter… at #2 (Ryan’s a Defensive Head Coach) Young or Stroud falls to #3…
The point is that no good GM is going to put a rookie QB (especially a 20 year old with ~13 starts) out there before he is ready. And plenty of examples of failed QBs out there along with a video of Ballard mentioning something similar.
Im not crazy you’re crazy…lol… You’re crazy if you are thinking that I am not responding to forum entries (MC and CR91) saying that AZ would not be open to trading the pick to Seattle. With the purpose of the trade being Seattle taking Richardson. In the short term Seattle would have a drafted player sitting for 2+ years behind Geno… instead of getting Carter or Anderson which would have an immediate impact on the health/success of the AZ QB. If Seattle jumps Indy, then we go trade back or go Anderson. That’s all I was saying or responding to
A QB that will sit for 2-3 years (Not Matter) while the top DE or DT plays and wreaks havoc on a fragile AZ QB... The NFL is about 'What have you done for me lately...' If you are not winning, bye bye coach. It will be interesting to see how this plays out for sure
