Who you have as our pick at 35?
-
I got:
1. Stroud QB
2. Torrence G
3. Hall DE
-
No particular order…
1. Will Anderson has 5 older sisters.-mentally resilient
-able to handle high stress environments
-humble
-can take criticism… I mean coaching
2. Likes to fish.
3. 6’4 245 pound DE with a propensity of generating havoc. -
Are these the correct lyrics Minshaw?
Pittman: If I get to know your name
Minshaw: Well, if I could trace your private number, babyPittman: All I know is that to me
You look like you're lots of fun
Minshaw: Open up your lovin' arms
I want some, want some… I set my sights on you
(And no one else will do)
Pittman: And I, I've got to have my way now, babyPittman: All I know is that to me
You look like you're havin' fun
Minshaw: Open up your lovin' arms
Watch out, here I come… You spin me right 'route, baby, right 'route
Like a record, baby, right 'route, 'route, 'route
You spin me right 'round, baby, right 'round
Like a record, baby, right 'round, 'touchdown. -
Actual Quote:
“For the ’23 draft, we have many options,” Irsay tweeted. “With the #4 pick, we could stay put and take a QB—-or trade up and take a QB—-OR trade down and MAYBE take a QB—-Or NOT. All options on the table, but we like our position and are very excited. Fire up!” -Jim Irsay.

I think the misdirection game is in full swing… drive up the trade value of picks 3,4, etc. then we trade back (like we intended all along after Carolina moved up). RD1 G, CB, WR, DL would be welcome addition.

Hasn’t done well in evaluating and drafting the premium position like QB , Cb , DE
I imagine Irsay has overruled CB on more than one occasion.

We need to stop overthinking this. The 4th pick will be a QB. End of story.
Remember this day when the old Ballard Draft 2 step shuffle back BPA or picks hits you. 30% chance of QB, 30% DE-DL, 20% trade, 20% CB.

I hope everyone realizes that the Ravens can match an offer for Lamar. So if he’s the plan, they better work it out before the draft. That’s understood. That is why giving them the min in compensation IF we go after Lamar. I think we should go BPA at a position of need until we find our guy. It’s not Levis or Richardson. Wasted pick for at least for 1-2 years.

I would be surprised the Colts take Mr. Body Shots (Narcissism) or Mr. Back Hand Springs as the next face of the franchise. For me, Anderson or Carter or Trade back.

Not sure if this would work, but Anderson or Carter at #4 then get Lamar for (trade up from pick 35 to RD1 pick 32 and next years 1st Rounder… (2 firsts is the comp to the ravens for Lamar correct?)

okey doke.
The distance in years between Brady and Wilson is 12 years; Brady and Purdy? 22 years. (Rodgers? Green Bay? he was a 1st round draft choice.
I UNDERSTAND what you're saying. Johnny Unitas was signed off the street. BUT --- I will continue to argue your odds of finding a really good QB is MUCH greater in round 1 (and LOW round 1) than hunting for one in 2 through 7.
I really don't want to wait for 12 to 20 years to find relevancy. (By the by, that 20 years? that's how long it was between Bert Jones and Peyton Manning. that's a looooooong time.) But hey, an all pro DE will lead us to a Super Bowl...
Caps… Snarky. A DE can lead to a Super Bowl… Miller, Freeney, Taylor, etc… more snark… 50% of the time we get it right every time.

It's just delaying the inevitable. Find a QB later. We've been punting since Andrew retired.
We haven't had a pick this low in round 1 since 2012. Swing away on the position of biggest need.
Unitas, Jones, Peyton, Luck.
or Domres, Hogeboom, Chandler, Trudeau...
Brady, Purdy, Rogers, Wilson… you never know where you will find that guy
-
At this point, Will Anderson. If Carter is there, trade back and build an amazing defense. Find QB after Ryan’s contract ends in 2024 draft or FA. Might be able to find enough guys to replace Okereke, Moore, Campbell, or whoever we lose in FA. Cheers

C. Wentz IS available. Hee Hee... (Ducks for cover as the hounds are released by the forum) Ha... Just a little Sunday morning levity.

One thing about Levis I keep hearing is he didn’t elevate the KY team. I think that is flat out false. That was a very bad team and he willed them to 7 wins. We seen what happened when he didn’t play in the bowl game.
Like I said I am fine with him or AR. As long as AR plays and we don’t have to watch a vet.
He could not beat out Clifford at PSU.

And yet they have 2 Super Bowl victories and 3 appearances in 4 years…
Their coach was a punt, pass and kick champion. Ours was a backup QB for a team that lost super bowls. Big difference zing…

If we played KC 10 times in a row, I imagine we’d beat them only once or twice. Having a franchise QB means consistency, sure a loss here and there happens but until you have a QB it normally means nothing unless you have an all time great defense.
2-2 in the last four games with KC

Forgot about lions possibly moving to 3.
You want people marching in Indy with pitchforks.
It very well might be ‘pitchfork’ time. Ha… ‘Marching’ on the other hand… doubtful
-
With Carter or Anderson on the board, trade back with Detroit 4/35 for 6/18… then BPA
-
Is Ballard okay with a QB his size getting hurt every year… out for multiple games every year… As a HS QB his size…his size is a major red flag for me. That being said, he is a baller.
1. Stroud
2. Young
3. Richardson

"Does he win" - Chris Ballard
Only two options for trading to RD1 Pick 1... If someone in the vicinity of a generational talent like an Andrew Luck is there, then okay. In this draft, there are only 2 players:
QB1a: Stroud
QB1b: Young
