I honestly will not believe this until I see it happen. Or unless it's super cheap... like... if it cost a 3d to move from 15 to 9 for Odunze or Nabers(if he falls), or if it cost a 4th to move from 15 to... 11? for someone like Bowers? But again... I just don't think it happens.

Yeah i look at Ballard as a stingy guy when it comes to trading up. He does not want to pay a lot to move up and dont think he will.

I want a move to get a possible playmaker with the 1st pick. Balard trades down and I don't see a playmaker on the defensive side.

yeah id only trade down a few spots if there were multiple playmakers available still. We could stay still at 15 and still would want to trade back up to get extra help. would just want to get extra picks to help when we trade back up in the end of the 1st

even with another injury, you think they are going to scrap AR and spend next years 1st on a new qb? I don’t… Ballard could be fired, but Steichen wouldn’t be, and a new gm isn’t going to rush it when they have a talented qb on roster. I think he’s going to get 3 years minimum, good chance of his entire rookie deal to show he is the future. Hope he holds up.

No i never said they would go QB. Me personally id wait two more years if that happened and go for manning if he comes out that year..

  4. The only reason why I wouldn’t want to trade up and give up a 1st next year for whatever scenario there is, is because we are 1 AR injury away again from having a top pick next year. Yeah we Flacco but we still won’t do anything with him and our 1st will be high enough to make me question on giving it up next year. I don’t trust AR yet staying healthy

I don't think it really means anything.

I just think it is a good troll job by Chris.

It was a great cliff hanger, they could've been talking about some one that would clearly be there at #15 BTJ, Kool-Aid or something.

Doesn't have to be a guy we are thinking about trading up for.

Like I said I just think it was a great troll job by Ballard to leave it out there like that.

    Provokes conversations.

Agreed, Ballard loves trolling us fans and I think this is exactly what he’s trying to do with that statement. He mentions multiple times through his career he loves messing with the fans and loves seeing twitter blow up from what he says. He messes with us because he knows we feed right into it!

I hope we start with the At Patriots, Tennessee here, At Giants, At Vikings and Richardson plays out of his mind so we finally can relax in here =Homer Simpson Laughing GIF by FOX TV- Every year we get screwed and play teams that are good or great and dig a hole because of it. I want to start 4-0. :funny:

I want to face a good team weak 1 because we will lose week 1. Haven’t won that week in years so I’d rather face someone who is actually good instead a bad team and still losing.

The person who wrote the tweet ends it with this….    “Will he drop out of the 1st?”

I doubt I’ve seen one mock either from NFL.com or ESPN, or the 33rd Team that has ever had Sweat mocked in the first.  He’s been a second round mock everywhere I’ve looked.   Ridiculous.

Good player, but as a general rule I don’t like 360+ pound players.

Yeah I just seen it say he was a projected 1st so that’s why I said that. So I ask this this time then, will he drop out of the 2nd round lol?!

  8. Let’s be honest, who really wanted Quinyon Mitchell? I find it funny a lot of the years when players do really well at combine there stocks rise up and now people want that player and are super in love with them. Like they were never wanted before the combine and when they have good stats they are just so good and need to be had.

No they don’t.  They will have their board in place when the draft starts.  They have no way of knowing what will take place in front of them before they pick.  They can guess on different scenarios but it’s just a guess.  The can not possibly know all of the scenarios.  Guessing doesn’t equal reality.  I’m sure they are doing a lot of what ifs.  That’s what I would expect.  But that’s a far cry from definitely knowing what they will do with the pick.

They have what ifs for All the scenarios. There pick 15 so it’s easier for them to do what ifs then they would be if they were at the end of the draft order. They have there board of who they want and who they will pick if they are there. So yes they do.

Bro Woods is more of the  in line traditional TE.  Bowers is a move TE definitely.

He is rarely on the line.  Did you look at any of that film?  We play both

types of TE in our offense.  Bowers is more of what we use Granson for.

You can definitely do much in the passing game with Woods, but he and

Bowers are different roles in our offense.  There's room for both bc our offense

utilizes both types.  We have a TE like Granson who is more off the ball like Bowers,

and then we have more in line guys like Woods. But Woods you would be a fool to

just use as a blocker because he's an athletic pass catcher as well.  There's room for both

because our offense already makes room for it. But my feeling is if we got Bowers it would be

Granson you would have to get rid of most likely.

It’s kinda like saying bro we have all these TE already why would you want Travis kelce on our team… like what you mean? You don’t want kelce just cuz we have players that do the same thing but are not even remotely close to as good as kelce? Not saying bowers is kelce just saying he’s way better then any of our guys and could be that kelce type player so why not take him.

This trade idea(article of 7 most plausible deals)is probably pretty accurate look at what it might take to get to #9 if we were to move up.(Not seeing it, more likely to move back)

"Colts Get: 2024 Round 1 Pick (No. 9)

    Bears Get: 2024 Round 1 Pick (No. 15), 2024 Round 3 Pick (No. 82), 2024 Round 4 Pick (No. 117), 2025 Round 3 Pick

Harrison might be the first pass-catcher off the board, but he probably won't be the only one to go early on Day 1.

The B/R Scouting Department has three receivers—Harrison, LSU's Malik Nabers and Washington's Rome Odunze—ranked inside its top 10 prospects. Georgia tight end Brock Bowers is also ranked No. 2 overall behind only Harrison.

It feels unlikely that all four of the top pass-catchers will fall out of the top 10, even if four quarterbacks are in that range. The Patriots and Giants should be interested in receivers if they don't take signal-callers. The Atlanta Falcons could also seek another playmaker to put around Kirk Cousins."

I would definitely do this. F them picks!! Jets are most likely going to grab bowers now since trading for the DE from eagles.

Bowers could very well be the best player in the draft.

If Woods is to play the Move TE role opposite Mo, that's a horrible usage of personnel, IMO.  And then there is Granson, who is probably up for a contract soon, and Mallory.  It seems to me that there is no room for woods other than the traditional blocking and occasional receiving type of TE, taking Mos spot.  That leave Ogletree as Woods' backup, since he is probably also not a Move TE type.  There is really only Granson and Mallory as the Move TE.  If you figure that Mallory is backup quality, then Ballard needs to decide if he wants to extend Granson at some point, or upgrade the position.

You see, despite the high-floor type of talent at TE, the Colts have redundancy and no real threat.  I think TE like Bowers is just as much of a need as WR, and maybe corner if we will be playing lots of zone..  I still think that a true pass rusher from the edge position is the biggest need.  But a true threat at TE is a big need too.

I think jets grab him now since they just traded for DE. Either they go oline or bowers.

Ballard said he is not done addressing the secondary.  So it’s fair to say he will make an addition or two up to the draft.  I don’t think they have any idea what they will do with the first pick right now.  Not a clue.  They obviously like the players they have that form the core.  You can tell that by all of the players they resigned.  By the time the draft is here I will bet there will not be a glaring major hole on the team.  A hole that will definitely point to what position they will draft.  A great spot to be in for sure.

They definitely know what they are going to do with the pick already. They have had months to prepare for this, if who is available they pick them or if not they pick this person or if these guys are gone, they trade. They have all these scenarios played out for sure. They know exactly what they are doing already.

  13. Anyone that said colts weren’t involved with sneed is a goofy. This proves they were. Y’all can @ me if yall want but don’t do t if yall can’t handle the heat. It makes me happy that Destin was right and yall were trying to mock him lol he was right all along
