The chiefs can just tag him for 15 mil which is much less then what he'd get on the market. He's not going anywhere
Even to do that they'll need to shed/move money and then they only get a season out of him since they'll have less cap space. Is 1 season of Jones worth a 1st or 2nd or whatever is offered is the real question.

There is almost 0 chance that Jones hits the FA market. He is the perfect 3T for Spags D and the difference in both run D and pass rush D was noticeble when he was not in the game. Plus if the Chiefs sign him then they can focus on more pressing needs at LB, DE and CB.
He's likely a tag and trade player the Chiefs cap situation with Mahomes about to get an insane deal is going to make it hard to sign him for a long term deal.

We only lost one game without him because Luck was our QB most of the time and he force-fed the ball to Hilton. With Brissett, Hilton is mostly ineffective. Hilton had a lot of 150+ yard games, again, because Luck force-fed the ball to him. He also had a ton of games where he completely disappeared and had less than 50 yards. Very inconsistent receiver.
He's never been force fed, only in 2016 has Hilton gotten more than 20 more targets than the next player on the team and is pretty much always the 20th or so most targeted players.

He was average this season but very good the year before if he can stay healthy he's a high end fridge probowl FS

What does everyone think about Gallimore as our first 2nd rounder barring either a trade or taking Kinlaw at 13? I think he's a great fit as a 3 tech on our DL and could offer good pass rushing ability from the inside. He's been compared to Booger McFarland who was a big piece of our 2006 SB team.

No, I'm not talking about now or you are gone. I'm talking whenever he decides to address it... How many GMs survive drafting a bust at QB? If the QB he drafts busts, I doubt he will get a second chance to draft another one... So he must be pretty sold on whoever he drafts.
Depends on where he draft the next QB, if it's in the 1st round or he trades up for someone maybe but if he takes say Gordon or another mid/late or round QB I doubt that gets him fired. If he takes Love or trades up for Tua or Herbert and they bust or whomever next year then he'll be in trouble.

I'd love the Espenesa pick he's a perfect Ballard pick a long DE that can play the weak side and shut down the run aswell as being able to move inside, mich like an upgraded Autry in 2018. Fromm would be a decent pick, I doubt he will be nearly as good, He reminds me of Dalton but he also has a similar draft profile as Brees when he was drafted. I'd prefer Eason but really don't want Love in the 1st as an armchair GM. I don't know much about Aiyuk so no comment on that pick.

Won't happen but it beats taking Love in the 1st

I think Kiper has him 7th best QB in the draft and McShay has him in the 2nd round....but the hype train will move him in the top 10.
4 QBs aren't going top 10 Burrows, Tua and Herbet are for sure aheas of Love and Fromm, Eason and others are right with him. He may go in the 1st but no way top 10.

I don’t see it with Eason. I see a big arm and nothing else. I mean he couldn’t beat out Jake Fromm. That says a lot IMO, considering Fromm isn’t special.
Well he was the starter until he got hurt and Fromm went the NC as a freshman, he wasn't loosing his job after that.

No way he gets to free agency.....no way. Chiefs need to invest in their D. Now, I could see Armstead from the Niners making it. They have to much talent on their D line and may not b able to afford him.
Cheifs probably won't have the money to resign him.

Well my current draft boatd for Indy would be
1 Burrows
2 Tua
3 Herbert
4 Young
5 Jeudy
6 Okuda
7 Brown
8 Espensa
9 Gross-Matos
10 Lamb
11 Adebo
12 Simons
13 Thomas (goes way up or down depending on ACs retirement)
-
Depending on how Brissett finishes the year and if he's still available but I think with the Jets 2nd I'd love Eason to fall.
-
For a 4th or less this season I'd be into it he could be a really good DT in our 4-3 scheme I think.
-
With Turray out for the season and the Colts needing at least some depth in rotation on passing downs do you think they'd consider trading for Vic?
-
Grover Stewart needs to step up and play well as the NT
-
QB, DE, MLB, CB, DT, S, S
An elite D with a good QB is what wins SBs, a QB can make a decent OL and WRs much much better, as long as I'm still getting a average OL and not a Luck years version I trust Mahomes, Wilson ect to keep the offence on track and an elite D shuts teams down.
-
Smith and Glowinski have been the weakest link on the OL and would be the best blockers on plenty of OLs in the league. DT, WR, DE, S are all bigger problems on this team
-
Unless Stewart really steps up his game, we need to invest either in FA or the draft in a NT/DT to go with out smaller DTs like Autry and Lewis

Zone coverage is what I have named the prevent me from winning defense zone doesn't work period.
You do know all teams play more zone than man coverage, last season the Chiefs lead the lead running it 45% of their snaps

If Orekeke or Speed can play well this week next to Walker especially in coverage then Walker might need a move to Sam and come off in our nickle package.
-
He's a Henry style back if there's a hole and he can build up his speed he's very hard to bring down and is faster than expected. Sometimes since he doest get many touches a game when he comes in it's almost like DCs don't account for him and Reich knows when to dial plays up for him.
-
21-17 we run the ball and mack has a big day and eats most of the clock and a timely Turray strip sack seals the game.
-
Last season he was a good run defender so I expect that to improve but he was constantly torched by RBs and TEs in the pass game.

If they do make that move based on the predicted cap they'll have less than 2 million in space to resign anyone or bring in FAs, they'll have to sher a bunch of money to keep him.
