  1. This has been a lot of fun and I would like to participate in this every year. Thanks to Switches and all those participating.

I believe we should try as much as possible to recruit fans of the other teams to participate and make selections for their respective teams. We have a Bills fan, a Ravens fan (The Old Crow), several Broncos fans, many Pats fans (Yehoodi would be great), a Seahawks fan (?Robinson), Saints fan (Bogie), and more. They probably know more about their team's draft strategy, tendencies, needs, schemes, etc. Also, they have an emotional investment in their picks.  I don't believe we would be waiting as long if they have to make picks for their teams.

While I understand why you want to give all participants 12 hours to make their selections, I believe that is too much time. Participants lose interest when they have to wait so long. All participants should have a list of players they would select and be prepared to make their picks when their time comes.

The other thing, Rankins and Reed were my highest rated players, for sure. I won't say much more about my rankings, but I think you made a great pick. If I were picking for the Colts at #18, I would have picked Rankins.

I learned from all of you and my fellow Vikefans to go BPA.

BTW, JPFolks' pick (Neal) was invited to and will be at the draft. Perhaps he is better than we think.

This forum hates WRs, as you might know. You'll get great value in later rounds if you want. We're at #24 and only one is off the board. I think at least four go in the first in real life.

That can't be true. You guys can't stop talking about Hilton and Moncrief.  Lol. Some did not like the Dorsett pick -- does not mean they hate WRs. I like WRs and would not mind getting Doctson.  I know you like Doctson and thought maybe you or Washington might take him. But I told some of my Vikesfans that I wanted to go defense.

The last 4 years, we have drafted at least one defensive player in the first round (Harrison Smith, Floyd, Xavier Rhodes, Barr, and Trae Waynes). Last year, our first 3 picks were defensive players. With all the talent on defense in this draft, I see Mike Zimmer and Rick Spielman going defense again.

I'm not that high on Billings. I like DL who can move. I would have liked Rankins, but the Vikings messed that up for me. Reed was my next highest rated player though.

When I saw that you moved down to 22, I figured you might pick one of the guys I liked. So, that is why I moved up. I did not like too many guys at 23.

I am surprised that no one asked why I did not select a WR. Nearly 70% of the draft experts out there are predicting that the Vikes will select a WR.

We need depth along the D-line. Sharrif Floyd is always injured. If we decide not to pick up his 5th year option, we have someone else to take over next year.

Well the good news is, if crestmount doesn't make it, you don't have to type it again! haha

Yes, look at the bright side... haha I should change the pick to a controversial one like say, the guy from Mississippi whose name I cannot remember the spelling. (Just kidding. I want no part of that guy.)

Cool. I'll be ready to go at 4 then. Whoever is behind me can get ready now because it shouldn't take me more than 5 mins to make the pick when it's time.

I don't know why it takes so long. If we know when we are selecting, we should have several players in mind to select. Start talking with others about trades days/hours in advance. "Should this happen, I am willing to trade draft pick X for ...."

All we're really worried about is whether crestmount sees it.  If crestmount shows up and all the evidence, so to speak, is deleted, no big deal.  If crestmount times out, then the Spence pick is reinstated and then yours and it's like nothing ever happened except a 2 hour pause.

Bleed BlueColts should delete his. I selected for the Vikes not the Bills.

If @crestmountmisses his pick and since he hasn't logged in for the last 2 days, I will wait for another 12 hours and assign his team to the next person in the waiting list( @ColtsBleedBlue).

To be clear, you mean we will wait 12 hours only to assign his team to another member (not to make the pick), right?

At 4:20 ET or so, will Noah Spence be auto-drafted and go to the Bills?

Yep, lets move on :) Maybe @JPFolks will look like a genius in several years time and can bump this one up to laugh at us :P

Yes, last year a Vikings fan selected Marcus Peters for the Vikes in the SB Nation draft. Our fanbase gave him a really hard time because Peters had character issues. Well, he was def. Rookie of the Year. Maybe Neal will be too. :)

I am nearly ready to pick and haven't seen ANYONE else suggest this player (not saying no one has, but just haven't seen it).  I have thought long and hard about what got us our only Indy Super Bowl win and I find a parallel.  It is a slight reach and I tried to trade down but no takers.... stay tuned... Can anyone guess?

    Will Fuller. haha
