    Two problems with this statement:

    1) He is a running QB

    2) He isn't a rookie

What makes him a "running" QB? Serious question. I noticed you have not replied to other comments pointing out why he is not a running QB. I am interested to hear why you believe he is.

Today was their last day on radio. Sad, always liked that show. Greeny(or is it Greenie)was one of my favorites, didn't care too much for Golic though.

I loved Mike & Mike, especially Greenberg (Greeney). But together they were great. I loved their interviews with fantastic guests. I liked that people on their show did not scream and yell. They shared their families with is. So much to like about Mike and Mike.

That is interesting that you liked Greeney and not Golic. Most guys liked Golic, not Greeny.

I think my problem is that with how choreographed they are, it just seems fake, like "let's come up with a celebration just because".  When Ocho and TO did it, it was spontaneous and creative.  Things that come naturally, even in the game today (like the Gronk spike, guys dunking the ball on the goalpost, or Antonio Brown's pelvic thrusts) are fine with me because they are genuine celebrations of excitement.  A potato sack race or hide and seek just seems like too much choreography for my liking.  With that said, I'd rather the players be given more freedom to celebrate than for them to be fined and penalized for celebrating, so I suppose this is better than the alternative.

I hear you. The spontaneous celebrations are more acceptable. The Vikings are doing these ridiculous celebrations -- Duck, Duck, Goose and players hopping on each other. Most of the fans think they are great. I don't like those celebrations but I won't let them affect my enjoyment of the game.

Interestingly, those choreographed ones were not penalized, but Diggs got a flag for spontaneously hugging the goal post.

I agree.  I like celebrations, but these super choreographed ones aren't for me.  It's just want too excessive and unnecessary.  I like when a guy uses his own creativity to do something, like what TO and Ocho would do.  Proposing to a cheerleader, pulling a Sharpie out of your sock, doing the riverdance, I think those are great.  But hide and seek or potato sack races, I'm not liking them

Back when Owens and Ocho Cinco were doing their celebrations, they were sharply criticized by fans and the media just as the OP is criticizing the new type of celebrations. Fans get used to the celebrations. Ten years from now, you probably won't have an issue with the choreographed celebrations. It will be something else that people are complaining about.

I prefer if players would just hand the ball to the officials after scoring, but my dislike for celebrations is not great enough to let it bother me.

Congrats on the win today, put up 38 on Washington on the road. The NFC is definitely up for grabs.

Thanks. Next week's game between the Vikes and Rams should be a good one. Two teams known for their defense are scoring lots of points on offense. Let's see what happens. The game is in Minnesota.

Keenum is playing well but it sounds like Zimmer wants to play Teddy. The announcers said Zimmer told them that Teddy will play this year. I hope they don't play Teddy against the Rams.

I picked the Pats to Repeat from the beginning of the season, I have no reason to believe they wont. They own the Steelers, Alex Smith always chokes against them, and the Raiders are just not good enough. In the NFC, Philly is solid but Wentz has 0 Playoff experience, Dallas doesn't have the Defense, and Rams are really unproven. Vikings are intriguing but once again unproven. If any QB and Coach are proven in the NFC it is the Saints and they are rolling.

The Rams seem to have the hardest schedule of any of the top teams in the NFC. They play the Vikes next week and the Saints in 2 weeks. They also play the Eagles and Seattle later in the year.

We beat the Saints and we have to play the Rams and Atlanta as well as all of our our division opponents. We also play the Bengals and Panthers. The only games that I am worried about are the Rams and Lions games (which are the next two that we play). I dont see us going worse than 11-5. We should win the division.

The Colts need WRs and this Lazard dude on ISU is impressive

How does what seemed to be an area of strength become a need in two years. After the 2015 draft, folks (myself included) were criticizing Colts decision makers for drafting Dorsett when the Colts seemed to have greater needs like OL and defense. At the time, WR appeared to be an area of strength for the Colts. Only two years later, Dorsett is gone and WR is an area of weakness. Lots of turnover of personnel in the NFL!

Many of the WRs in that draft have underachieved -- Kevin White, B. Perriman, Agholor, Jalen Strong, Dorsett, and others. Was Sammy Coates that year too? Cooper and Diggs probably have performed best, but Diggs is injured a lot. Don't draft WR in the 1st round.

Love is a Beast! 166 Yards. Stanford wins 30-22. #9 Washington goes down! As the Beatles would sing, ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE :violin:. Cant wait for the Notre Damn at Miami game tomorrow night. It's the night game on ABC at 8est.

I am looking forward to that game but I may miss it too (more volunteer work -- last day). I am interested in the TCU/Oklahoma game. I need a bad game from Baker Mayfield to give my guy a chance at the Heisman. haha

I missed the game. After work, I went to volunteer and was exhausted when I got home. It was almost midnight when I got home. But I am happy with the result. :D

Bryce Love needs more love for the Heisman. He got 3 TDs against a Washington defense that had given up only 3 rushing TDs all season.

I'm sure everyone is probably sick of these threads by now, and I apologize for starting another one, but I didn't want this comment to be buried in another thread only to be ignored. The posts recently blaming everyone from Luck to the front office to the Patriots (not really, but given some of the posts I've seen, it doesn't seem like too much of a stretch) have me frustrated, and I had to give my 2 cents, and hopefully provide a little perspective.

I understand that people are upset about Luck's situation, but the posting regarding it has gone from speculation to outright fabrication. The fact of the matter is that none of us know exactly what is going on with Luck's shoulder. It is human nature to want to attribute a cause to situations that are difficult or that we don't understand, but we need to be aware of this and realize that often there is no rhyme or reason to these things. There isn't always someone to blame, sometimes stuff just happens. I'm not saying it was managed perfectly, because I don't know all the details, but the decision to have surgery on a QB's throwing shoulder is never something to be taken lightly, and prognosis for rehab timelines are often very difficult, if not impossible.

I am not at all surprised that Luck is taking more time to recover than peoples' hopes allowed them to expect. As a physician and as someone who has had this same surgery, sustained playing football and on my right shoulder nonetheless, I think I have a somewhat better understanding than most of what the surgery and recovery process entail. Obviously I am not a professional QB who is expected to perform at a high level, but I think I can imagine what Luck is going through. The rehab process is long, slow, and frustrating. There are days when you think you can do something, maybe get a little overzealous, and end up having pain for days/weeks later. It is hard to accept the limitations that come with this injury, and I know from personal experience that the motion of throwing a football is one of the last things to be recovered without pain afterwards. Not to mention the subconscious desire to protect your shoulder while throwing, therefore resulting in alterations to the throwing motion.

I clearly remember being over a year post-surgery (I think it actually may have been 2 years), and trying to throw the football around at a backyard cookout/party. I was okay for a few throws, but the pain quickly surfaced, and after pushing myself and continuing for a little while (probably because I didn't want to accept that I still had such limitations), I begrudgingly had to stop, and dealt with pain for days afterwards. Considering that I am just a guy who enjoyed playing pickup football and didn't have 250+ lb men charging at me wishing to do me harm, I can only imagine how Luck feels.

This year has been beyond frustrating, and I get that people are upset and looking for someone or something to direct that anger towards. However, the hate and negativity, much of which is well deserved in regards to issues not surrounding Luck's shoulder, have become misdirected lately. I feel sympathy for Luck, and have nothing but well wishes for him and for the Colts in this difficult time. I hope other fans can step back and see that this is not the end of the world, not entirely unexpected, and not such a simple situation that it can be boiled down to placing blame on one person or party.

    Go Colts

    Thank you. I appreciate this.

Shoulder injuries are very painful. I dislocated my shoulder when I was in college. I chose not to have surgery. It dislocated at least 30 more times while doing everyday activities. However, in the last 7 or so years, I have not had any dislocation. I no longer feel pain.

I hope Luck will recover enough to resume his great career.

Francesca ADORES Andrew Luck..... Andrew might  be one of Francecsa's favorite players ever !!!!!....He is starting to sound like the Colts will destroy Andrews career......He wishes Andrew got drafted by someone other than the Colts !

No Francesca has been adoring Luck since Lucks sophomore year in college .

Francesa is a Giants fan. He is a huge Luck fan, as you say, and a big critic of Colts management, especially Grigson. I am not surprised that he would want Luck traded to the Giants.

I don't see it happening unless the Colts draft a QB in the next draft.

I'm sorry I have you bad advice...good luck tonight. He is Cutlers  favorite target and oaklands secondary is horrible....but that's a lot of points.

You did not give bad advice. I would have sat him anyway. I did not play Kelvin Benjamin who was also traded.

This is just for fun but I want to beat my fellow Vikes fan.

  14. 10 minutes ago, dgambill said:

I should have too...I didn't think he would see much action not knowing the offense. He is talented and I think makes a big help to Philly. If their secondary was to improve they might be legit SB contenders.

I did not believe he would play much but even if I thought he would, I figured the Denver defense would stop him. That was a surprise.

If Devante Parker can get me 20 points, I will win. That is not likely to happen. :( lol

I know I don't get it either. To the people that want us to lose why even watch? Just check the score out after the game and do something else during the game. You know how goofy it would look if someone had full Colts gear on but was rooting for the other team lmao

Now that is hilarious! I am going to the KC at Giants game on Nov. 19th. I wonder if my friend will be rooting for the Giants to lose...

    Giants look awful.
