I consider being a legitimate contender every year as successful, and any SB win(s) as gravy.
I think the original Colts brass is inclined to agree, which is why we hung banners celebrating the fact... to which the Pats faithful ridicules us for to this day. -

But other than THAT Mrs. Lincoln, what did you think of the play?
The hit was nice.

https://www.yahoo.com/sports/report-nfl-might-consider-allowing-reviews-pass-interference-saints-fiasco-173552996.html
Bill Belichick has said he believes any call should be challengeable, but at the very least the NFL will look into challenging pass interference.
I know some pass interference calls are questionable, but good lord that Saints one was so blatantly pass interference that it was laughable. The defender's head wasn't turned to the football, the ball was in range of the receiver, and the defender straight up shoved the guy off his route well beyond the 5-yd marker.- 1

Can you imagine it used to be even worse where a team just needed to kick a FG! Committing a penalty on a kick return to start the team's offense at their own 40 was a real punch in the gut!

Well jeez, after Jim Caldwell's infamous time out goofs, I'm surprised Peyton wanted Caldwell on the team. I can only assume it's because Caldwell was a good "yes-man."

We'll see. I can see Goff doing that, but I don't believe in the Pats in this matchup.
I haven't watch the Rams much this season. What key positions are you referring to that the Rams match up well against the Patriots? Enthusiasm will only carry a team so far.
Do they have a good defender to man against Gronk? Do they have a decent enough offense to keep up with Brady? Do they have a pass rush to rattle Brady? Do they have a run game to keep Brady off the field? -

I would think the same team making it to the SB so many times has to bad for ratings. Maybe I'm wrong.
I read that tickets to the Superbowl cost more when the Pats are playing, so I'd imagine TV ratings would also be better. -

Truth.
Patriots with Brady - 77% win rate.
Patriots without - 70%.
Basicalky over a 20 game stretch Brady gives you an extra ~1.5 games won. Hardly GOAT material.
The proof is in the pudding when Matt Cassel nearly got them into the playoffs on his own. -

At least the saints lost.
I'd rather they win than a Los Angeles team. New Orleans deserves it. -

This team will never die until Brady retires. It’s that simple
Brady is a system QB. Change my mind. He does it very well.
Belichick is the genius; not Brady.- 1

Wow, they can't get any pressure on Brady.

None of this matters.
Patriots will get the ball first and then blow down the field for the easy TD to go to the Super Bowl.
Oh not you again. Would you get off the forum, please. -

Not that I am rooting for NE, but jumping offsides is unforgivable.
Having a defender simply standing offsides is even worse.- 1

Kermit the Frog strikes again!

Wow, what a time for the hard count!

The Pats didn't even need a single timeout.

Wow, lol.

k well that gives the Chiefs defense a chance to rest anyways.

Oh not this again, lol.

I'm surprised the Pats haven't falled for Mahomes hard counts literally at all. I guess the Colts are just chumps for falling for it.

I found what the announcer said interesting: New England developed an offensive game plan that would minimize the loud crowd noise in Arrowhead. That's what the Colts needed.

Do they always give fines for unsportsmanlike conduct? How would this dance rate on the fine scale in terms of severity?

Can you imagine Jeff Saturday yelling at Andrew Luck, saying, "We need to run the d*** ball!" Then Luck replies, "Sure thing, and sorry for taking up your time! Sorry for bothering you!"
