  1. Who is Bruce Young? If -ProFootballTalk wants us to take their tweets seriously at least spell the name of the college QB prospect correctly.
  2. If the Panthers take Levis, I think the Texans would take Young in a heartbeat. Assuming Arizona doesn't trade #3 (Which is a big assumption), the Colts would have to decide between Stroud and Richardson.
  3. You might be right but there was another O-line in that division that was pretty horrific last year as well.....not to mention the WR corps was not exactly putting fear in any opponents. At least our RB is on the young side though.
  4. I think GM Chris Ballard liked Kenny Pickett a year ago, enough to have taken him had the Colts not traded away their first-rounder for Carson Wentz. That prompted me to project Levis to Indianapolis in my first mock, way back in early February. We've come a long way since then, but I've ended up back where I started. Levis' toughness, experience and confidence would make him a Day 1 starting candidate in Indy. https://www.nfl.com/news/eric-edholm-2023-nfl-mock-draft-3-0-raiders-trade-up-for-c-j-stroud-texans-pass- This is the first that I have heard about Ballard liking Pickett. I guess it didn't matter since the Colts never had that 1st-round pick.
  5. Is Anthony Richardson an Out of this World Talent? "As a player, I'm not human. I'm an alien," Richardson tells me in a voice so deep it's startling. "I don't think I can be compared to anybody. As a person, I'm normal -- just a fun-loving guy who likes to make people smile." https://www.nfl.com/news/back-2-campus/2023-nfl-draft-qb-anthony-richardson-promises-his-best-is-still-yet-to-come
  6. In the ultimate act of revenge and surprise Frank Reich persuades the Panthers management to take Will Levis at #1 believing this is who the Colts wanted the whole time.
  7. This is the Colts you are referring to or just Lombardi's assessments using the grading system?
  8. Titans Lose Faith in Willis: But what of Malik Willis, the Titans second-year quarterback who they took in the third round a year ago? Well, it sounds like he has fallen out of favor within the organization. Peter King of NBC Sports notes in his latest Football Morning in America column that he has heard that Tennessee has lost faith in Willis. To further hammer that point home, King also had the Titans trading up in his latest mock draft to No. 3 overall to select Ohio State's C.J. Stroud. The title is certainly not surprising as the Titans refused to play Willis over Josh Dobbs in their playoff game last year, but rather that the new Titans management may be itching for a fresh start with a rookie QB now. With rumors of both Tannehill and Henry both being on the trade block this summer, it seems the Titans have all cards on the table. I am sure they wouldn't mind jumping the Colts (a divisional opponent) to do it. https://titanswire.usatoday.com/2023/04/24/tennessee-titans-rumors-malik-willis-lost-faith-report/
  9. It just seems like it would be weird if all this time people were predicting that we would pick Levis, and then Ballard comes out and says he laughs at reports about who the Colts are supposedly taking, and then take Levis anyway.
  10. Maybe they are just hoping that their favorite college QB will fall into their laps sort of like....I don't know....Matt Ryan? Because that worked out well right?
  11. But on Thursday night at the Cardinals’ big new uniform reveal, Gannon was slightly more specific, saying the number of teams interested in moving up to the third overall pick was “double digits.” ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the Cardinals received calls from “at least six” teams. Because any potential trade will likely be determined by what the Houston Texans do with the second overall pick, we won’t likely see anything happen until the Cardinals are on the clock Thursday night. https://sports.yahoo.com/cardinals-fielded-many-phone-calls-123526063.html
  12. Latest- The Cardinals are getting calls from teams who want to move to #3 then take one of the offensive lineman. Did not hear which OT is being targeted. — Tony Pauline (@TonyPauline) April 22, 2023 Pauline is one of the most connected NFL draft sources, so whenever he drops a nugget like this, it’s worth taking seriously. https://thecomeback.com/nfl/shocking-draft-trade-plan.html
  13. Show Replies Yes, I would be highly shocked if Ballard moves anywhere from #4 except down.
  14. Just who would the Vikings being looking to select at #2 or #3?
  15. Only to be disappointed when the Texans take him at #2. But if Stroud is the consolation prize at #3 then I think we win that gamble assuming we do not give up too much to move to #3.
  16. I am not buying the released results. So I am supposed to believe that the two college QB's with the highest Passer Efficiency Ratings in the country (Stroud, and Hooker) both bombed a cognitive recognition test? Something sounds off.
  17. So, the players took these tests at the NFL Combine a month ago right? So, if all these teams have had access to the scores since then, why would all the top teams who value this test keep hosting C.J. Stroud if his score was really that low? I say Stroud's reported score is bogus until he confirms it himself.
  18. Yes, crumble opposing defenses we will! With Great Care, of course.
  19. I just talked to C.J. and he said that the random poster on Twitter has dyslexia and reversed the numbers. His real score is 81%. He said he would explain more but he had to run because he was late at ghosting an un-named football academy.
  20. Is this real? Who is Shane P. Hallam? The overwhelming majority of Stroud's player evaluations say that he is one of the best processors in the draft. He gets through his reads routinely. etc. Somebody is on a serious Stroud smear campaign.
  21. This is getting serious if you are pulling out the Reba memes, lol!!!
  22. I will support this team no matter what they do because I am a fan, but if the first three picks playout like you suggest and the Colts don't take Stroud, I will be upset. Steichen can easily build an offense around the most accurate and productive player in the draft. Don't overthink this Colts, if Stroud is there at #4, take him!!!!
  23. Plus Levis had 72 sacks over his career. Stroud through 12 picks in 2 years and only had 25 total sacks. This is not even close IMO if both are available at #4.
  24. If the Colts stay at #4 and Stroud, Levis, and Richardson, are all available, who do you take and why? 1. Stroud: Completion Rate 69.3% over 26 games; 8,259 all-purpose yds, 86 TD's, 12 interceptions; Career PER 177.66; Stroud: 25 sacks, 5 fumbles in 26 career games. 2. Levis: Completion Rate 64.9% over 38 games; 6,618 all-purpose yds, 63 TD's, 25 interceptions; Career PER 151.87; Levis: 73 sacks; 17 fumbles in 38 career games. 3. Richardson: Completion Rate 56.5% over 22 games; 4,221 all-purpose yds, 36 TD's, 15 interceptions; Career PER 133.60 Richardson: 16 sacks, 4 fumbles in 22 career games (12 starts) 4. Another QB? Hooker, Hall, Cunningham, Bennett? 5. Trade or select a Non-QB For me, if the Colts take a QB at #4 and the above players are available I would choose Stroud. My reasoning is as follows. 1. Accuracy-He is extremely accurate completing almost 70% of his passes over his career; he is also ranked #1 in QB Passing Efficiency of all of the Divison I QB's in the entire country. 2. Lack of Turnovers- He takes care of the ball even though he throws a lot. Just 12 interceptions, 25 sacks, and 5 fumbles in 26 games. (Young-52 sacks, Levis-72 sacks) 3. Production-this is the deciding factor for me. Stroud produced 8,259 all-purpose yards and 86 TD's in 26 games. That is phenomenal; Levis didn't even come close to producing that in 38 games and is not close on taking care of the ball either. Stroud's 41 TD's and 3,688 passing yards in 2022 are big production numbers. His 2021 numbers of 44 TD's and 4,435 passing yards are phenomenal. Young barely exceeded Stroud's production in total yards and took 8 more games to do it. The Ohio State offenses that he led were ranked high in the country in Points Per Game and Yards Per Game. He holds Ohio State records of 573 passing yards in a single game, and the only QB to ever throw 6 TD's in a game three times. I believe Steichen could easily mold an offense around Stroud in which he could throw to score, and run to win (Taylor). His prototypical height/build would allow Stroud to stay in the pocket and slice defenses apart much like he did in college.
