  1. The good news here is that the Colts have the 4th waiver.
  2. No offense to Patmon, but I noticed that the waiver wire was littered with former Colts players. I'm not sure this team gets any better by going back and picking up former players that were not all that great the first time around.
  3. Curious to know why you think this would be advantageous to the Colts to franchise tag Taylor next offseason? If he doesn't want to be on or play for our team, why drag the drama/distraction into another offseason by franchise tagging him? Not questioning your approach, but truly curios to hear your thoughts on this. I agree the Colts do have the leverage in the situation.
  4. I agree on this. I value your opinion csmopar. Why do you think it would be advantageous for the Colts to franchise tag Taylor next year? If he doesn't want to be on the Colts, why go through all the drama in another offseason? Again, not questioning what you said, but I am genuinely curious to know your thoughts on this.
  5. Here is my fear. The Colts ask way too much for Taylor in a trade package (a 1st rounder) and get no takers. Then the Colts decide to put him on the PUP list, or Taylor decides to sit out and not play for the Colts all year. The Colts get no benefit from their best offensive player all year and the constant saga is a huge distraction to the team. He becomes a FA in 2024 and the Colts get absolutely nothing for one of their best players. This is a worst-case scenario I understand. With no takers in the trade market, Taylor could suck it up and decide to come back and play for the Colts all year. But if he decides not to play, this would be a serious setback for the team with little to show at the end of the process. All that said, is there a player you would consider trading straight up for Jonathan Taylor? I am not talking about Patrick Mahomes or something like that, but realistically, what player would you deal Taylor for if any? I advocated that the Colts take a look at Austin Ekeler earlier in the summer when he was seeking a trade from the Chargers. I would trade Taylor for Ekeler at this point. There may have to be some draft picks involved as well but I would do it. Ekeler seems like he would fit Steichen's system much better than Taylor. His pass catching skills alone (104 last season) would provide a great relief valve for Richardson and would help offset the fact that the Colts don't have true #1 wide receiver. The bonus is that the guy scores TD's in bunches (38 in the last two seasons). I realize that he will be a free agent also next year but he may be worth re-signing if he works well in our system.
  6. I subscribe to a service called anywhereTV.org. With this app you can essentially stream any local channel in the country. They group the channels together so you can watch any game from any team. I have been using the app for over 4 years. It also has essentially every cable channel in the country. There are over 10,000 movies and more than 2,000 TV series available on demand. Additionally, it streams some movies and series from other streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max. There are more sports channels then you could every possibly watch in a lifetime. It runs about $25-$30/month depending on how many TV's you use.
  7. Like others have said, I would like to see another big year from Taylor before I give $60 to one of the least valued positions in football right now. Also, not 4 years to a RB. If you have to do it now how about 3-years, $40M, $30M guaranteed. I know the WR market has been going up annually. Is $23M/year too much to pay for a guy who many question as a true #1. On top of this, would you offer D. Hopkins a 2-year $38M? That is $19M/year for a guy who is a true #1 when healthy?
  8. I was just watching highlights of T.J. Watt last year playing against the Bengals. He kept swatting 6'4" Joe Burrow's passes down if he couldn't get the pass rush in time. He even intercepted him twice. Burrow was pi$$ed. I wish Young well but defenders will be coming for him. https://www.nfl.com/news/steelers-olb-t-j-watt-talks-about-making-a-splash-i-don-t-know-how-i-missed-the-
  9. 5-11-1 would put us pretty close. Hopefully we get 6+ instead.
  10. NFL.com Predictive Analytics Expert Cynthia Frelund has us winning 5.6 games based on our schedule this year. https://www.nfl.com/news/nfl-schedule-each-afc-team-s-win-total-projection-for-2023-season
  11. You can get an app named AnywhereTV for $25/month. It has all the local channels in the country so you can watch any NFL game throughout the year. By the way, the same is true for baseball, basketball, hockey, etc. You can watch any team that is shown on their local channel. It also has over 10K movies (new and old) and 2K television series on-demand. Every cable channel and sports channel you can think of and it streams content from some of the top subscription services as well. It would only be about $175 for the entire NFL season. My family likes the app so much that we keep it year-round as our main app along with Amazon which we already have for package delivery. I believe the website is AnywhereTV.org
  12. Rough 8-game losing streak in there. Hopefully we don't have that but you might not be far off on total wins.
  13. They did the same thing to us last year to start the season (7 games?), but overall not a bad schedule.
  14. Check it out, you won't be disappointed. Parkview Field is a great venue whether you like baseball or not. It wins awards almost annually for being one of the best minor league parks in the country. Thirsty Thursdays are definitely the best night to go.
  15. I will be there too. Parkview Field is a great venue whether you like baseball or not. It wins awards almost annually for being one of the best minor league parks in the country. Thirsty Thursdays are definitely the best night to go.
  16. The Colts should definitely look at D. Risner for guard depth and possibly M. Garcia, A.J. Cann. Tackle depth might include: Donavan Smith if healthy, J. Eluemenor.
  17. I think I would rather draft Hooker at this point if double-dipping QB's. Unfortunately, the Colts have too many other needs (OL, CB, WR) right now to have that luxury.
  18. You can watch and stream the 2023 NFL Draft on the following networks: NFL Network, ABC, ESPN and ESPN Deportes. So if you can already watch these networks on your TV — via an antenna, cable, or a streaming service — great! Good job! You're all set. The rest of this article is for those of you who don't have cable or streaming TV services, and anyone else who isn't sure how to watch the draft this week. https://sports.yahoo.com/nfl-draft-2023-how-to-watch-live-on-cable-or-streaming-draft-order-mock-draft-top-prospects-best-bets-and-more-182510002.html
  19. I think Irsay has pretty much stated the same saying the following: According to ESPN's Stephen Holder, Irsay suggested that the front office is still debating and evaluating who to select: "People think … the decision's made, or decision makers aren't telling anyone. That's not true a lot of times. Honestly, this is as much intrigue and as much debate [as I've seen]. You have four guys and they're all worthy of being the No. 1 pick in the draft. Any of the four you take at [No.] 1, people can't slam anyone for it. "I'm not being evasive. I'm being honest. Really, we are still debating what our options are."
  20. I agree with that. I am also not sure I want to trade with a team that just went to the Super Bowl either. Although it is impossible to predict from one season to the next, the Eagles will probably be in the top half of the league making their future pick a lower one as well.
  21. Maybe the final 92 pages or so should be dedicated to Memes!
  22. Reports of Will Levis going No. 1 overall to the Panthers are greatly exaggerated, according to … Will Levis. A hot Reddit rumor indicating that Levis was going to be the top selection in Thursday night's Round 1 isn't all it's cracked up to be, Levis says. "Don't believe everything you read on the internet," Levis said Wednesday. Will Levis on the anonymous Reddit post. pic.twitter.com/pXKuwYAf4M — Scott Fowler (@scott_fowler) April 26, 2023
  23. Texans beat writer Aaron Wilson writes that the Texans are not expected to take Kentucky QB Will Levis with the 2nd or 12th pick contrary to a lot of Internet speculation. He adds that Florida QB Anthony Richardson does not seem to be a serious option for them either, as Houston did not conduct a private visit or workout with him. https://nfltraderumors.co/latest-on-texans-draft-plans/ I tried to confirm this last part but could not. The Texans met privately with Richardson at the combine but not sure about the private workout.
  24. Agreed, If we don't fix the line and it plays near the level it did last year, it won't matter who we put out there at QB.
