  1. and 3 years of college experience to build on. Even great qb’s say they get smarter every game they play, probably why they are great!
  2. People expecting Richardson to be a 2nd year starting qb next year isn’t reality. He hardly played this year and only had one year of college. Next year is probably going to be more like a rookie year than most here think. I don’t want to hear about practicing, reading game defenses aren’t learned in practice!
  3. the reason I say lb is because the line get decent pressure even though the colts almost never blitz. I don’t think the db’s are that bad, the system they are asked to play in isn’t helping them and they are young. The starting lb’s are way below nfl standards, number of tackles is the most misleading stat for linebackers. And do the colts have more than two?
  4. as have most of the colts lb’s for years!
  5. I think the rpo is hurting the running game and the pass protection. Why run it with a qb that isn’t a threat to run? I think that threat is the only way it works. I have been saying all year, the line and backs are the strong part of the offense, not the very average qb and receiving group. A top coach in any sport plays to their players strengths, not have players play to his strengths. It will take a year or two to get players to fit his offense.
  6. it’s not Ballard, it’s irsay. The colts have been doing this going back to bill polian.
  7. People talk about playmakers, moss has been more of a playmaker this year than Taylor. Pittman isn’t a playmaker that scares defenses, he is a possession receiver. I think the colts have the most limited backup qb that is starting now on any team. That gives me confidence in the colts offense when they have a top qb. I’m in the minority here in not wanting the colts to give Pittman a big contract.
  8. Linebackers have been an issue for the colts for a long time and they only have two average ones curently!
  9. It would be nice to have the Taylor money when signing free agents (ours or others). Maybe the colts can trade him for a top wr? That’s right, nobody is going to want the colts big mistake. linebacker is the biggest need on defense and has been for a long time and they need more than one! The offense has been ok with a backup qb that doesn’t throw the ball down field. Need to draft a qb that could be a capable back up or maybe surprise and be starter material. It seems to be something every team has to have with all the qb’s that are getting hurt.
  10. You have to laugh at all the people that say how bad the colts are after a loss, and also say how they are playoff or decision contenders after a win. It’s tough to take them serious, but I guess that’s why fan is short for fanatic.
  11. A lot of these predictions are based on Leonard and Taylor being the players they were before the injuries. If people knew they would be zeroes this year nobody would have thought the colts would have done as good as they have this year. Maybe the gm has done a lot better job building a team than a lot here think!
  12. people keep talking about all the top players Atlanta has and the colts don’t. What’s atlantas record? It must be way better than the colts, right?
  13. All the complaining here about the colts players on offense. It’s tough on everyone with a qb that doesn’t scare the defense throwing the ball down field. I think Joe Flacco under center in place of minshew doing rpo would make a lot of the players look better. But that probably isn’t the kind of offense the coach wants to run. i also think if the colts improved the lb position the defense would be a lot better. I don’t like having 2 lb’s and they are both smaller. If you are playing with an extra db to help with passing play, you should have bigger lb’s to stop the runs.
  14. The game wasn’t n tv in my area, so I listened on the radio. So the colts pay Richardson a top contract, but they don’t make him a focal point of the offense. I said it was a dumb move when they did it, and it seems even worse than that seeing how the offense is run and production other backs have produced. Supposedly he was payed because he is a big play game changer, well where is that? Just another stupid contract irsay has given to a colt plater he likes. That’s why the colts sucked when he was playing gm and he still has that mentality by listening to interviews he gives.
  15. I have said this a couple times, and it wasn’t popular here. The same as when I said the same thing about popular colt lb’s of the past that piled up meaningless tackles. I was right about them, we will see about Franklin. It seems like this is a trend with the colts no mater who the gm is.
  16. Isn’t this the same as a concussion? I always thought a concussion was the brain being damaged from hitting the skull, sounds like the came thing.
  17. yes, that is what the call was, but none of it mattered after the review showed he crossed the goal line before fumbling.
  18. I would hold him out since it seems whoever we have at rb are getting the job done. Like I said before, it’s more about the o-line than the backs.

    EJ Speed

I have been watching the Monday games that Eli and Peyton do on espn and forgot he was with Philly. I never heard him mentioned. Listening to Peyton’s commentary is so much better than any of the play by play or color announcers on any station.
  20. he didn’t look sharp at all, all his passes were off. The only damage he did was with his legs. every week you see teams playing better or worse than expected. Worrying about what other teams will do is a wast of time, just worry about winning the next game.
  21. Not worried about the rb position, the o-line is what makes the difference!
  22. agreed, except I’m not sold on the qb yet. Hopefully he is.

I would say Irsay, the over paying colt players goes back over many gm’s.
  24. The brown are going to be tough with Flacco at qb, that’s not just a run of the mill practice squad qb pick up! I thought he retired, then I saw him throwing td’s for Cleveland. That was a big time pick up!
