  1. Man.... i was at that Jags game in London when Allen dopped that pass that was between his numbers to effectively close out the game for the Jags. Pain.
  2. A bit more respect for the Colts this week with the game picks. Actually favored by 6/10.
  3. When i see a title that says "New shocking details revealed", i know instantly that it is click bait and based on nothing of any real substance. "According to a former nfl executive who spoke to NFL Analysis Network." Yeah.... sure.... This couldve just been someone talking to someone and he said "if it were me running that team, he wouldnt go anywhere. I'd have had no intention of trading him and i'd sign him long term once he showed me he was healthy." And then you build your clickbait article around something that vague.... if there even WAS a former NFL executive who said that and it wasnt all fabricated in the first place.
  4. Not to rain on anyone's parade, but that is AR, not JT.
  5. He earned every penny of that contract tonight.
  6. Absolute bummer. He looked good in preseason and TC. I hope he makes a full recovery and gets a good crack at it next year. Moss is still the unquestioned #1... I wouldnt mind having Moss in a rotation, but dang we dont have anyone even half decent enough behind him to rotate him with. If Moss goes down, we are well and truly screwed at the RB position. If JT comes back and decides he is going to play, we are flying with these 2. If he doesnt.... well, I repeat my last sentence of the previous paragraph.
  7. I think this is it. Prepare yourselves for Minshew vs the Ravens this week, even if AR clears protocol before game day. They cant prepare the game plan all week for Richardson if Minshew is gonna start, and they cant just throw Richardson into the mix after he has cleared protocol against this Ravens D (or any NFL D for the time being). It wouldnt be fair on Richardson, nor really help his development all that much.
  8. Translation, he's likely.missing a game. With a very slim chance that he could play this week. Very very slim though.
  9. I personally think the league did its 180 on the view of black quarterbacks about a decade ago (maybe even just over), and I think a large portion of it is thanks to players like Mike Vick (surprising that it would be him considering his off the field issues) and Donovan McNabb, to a lesser degree. I think when Vick came back and played for the Eagles in 2009, there were maybe 4 or 5 black starting quarterbacks? I believe today there are 13, which is damned near half the league.
  10. Unfortunately, Steichen said that Hull "could miss some time" with the knee injury. Our hopes lay with Moss being game ready next weekend. The real worry also being that Moss has never been a featured bellcow. We will still likely see a sizable amount of Jackson next weekend, it might be his last chance to prove himself though.
  11. If Moss is in the lineup, I think it's enough of a boost to make a noticeable difference on offense. I'll say 24 - 21, Colts dub.
  12. Deon Jackson cannot be our answer moving forward for the next 3 weeks (assuming Taylor even returns to play for us). He was awful. Yeah the run blocking wasnt great, but even taking that into account, he was just plain bad. I hope Moss is back next week and ready to play, otherwise we're gonna see even more Deon Jackson for 1 or 2 yard carries. I'd rather see Funk play after that 1st week perfoemance from Deon.
  13. I like Pittman, but not as the "clearcut WR1" option on a team. I think he is definitely worth decent to high WR2 money, but if he is angling for a top tier contract, then i'd pass. He would be a really really good WR2. Imagine if we had Pittman behind a player like Justin Jefferson..... That would be a crazy 1-2 punch.
  14. What do you mean? I'm looking right at you!
  15. I think the Colts as an organisation lost some negotiating ground with Taylor today. Look me in the eye and tell me we don't win that game if Taylor was playing.
  16. I know right..... BUT BUT BUT, he lives in Denver! Give me the choice of Denver or Indianapolis, I'm choosing Denver 100% of the time.
  17. Im not trying to poo poo on your viewpoint here, but I just dont see it. Our starting 2 outside DBs would barely be 2nd stringers on most other teams... how are you seeing that so positively? And the pass rush is anything but proven.... That is a baaaaaad combination. Please, help me see this as you do, because our defense has me worried that its going to be putting Richardson into positions where he thinks he needs to play hero ball, and that generally doesnt go well for rookies.
  18. If we can get vintage Leonard back on the field, I feel really good about our LBers. We just need a pass rush and secondary now..... eesh. Am i the only one who is low key really quite worried about our defense? I have hopes for the pass rush, but not high ones, and that would be even more straining on our DBs.... I can see us giving up a lot of infuriating 3rd and longs, or our DBs just straight up getting shredded.
  19. Actually, I think it's a pretty easy decision at the end of the season, if he hasnt shown that he is back to being healthy and playing like the Leonard of old, you try to trade him for whatever you can get.
  20. I have liked your post purely on the fact that you actually used this phrase correctly. I'm sure you couldn't care less about my liking of your post..... but thank you.
  21. Nice to see Downs be given the nod over Mckenzie, it's the right move.
  22. I liked Reich for the most part and I felt kinda bad for him when he got the can, but looking back on the Reich experience, I just don't really want to think about it or dwell on it anymore. In his early years, he was considered a difference making play caller for us and "scheming" guys open etc, but for whatever reason, it tailed off and he became stale and predictable. I hope he gets a good shake at it in Carolina, and I sorta wish him well over there, just not too well so that it looks like the Colts are the ones that pooped the bed kicking him out.
  23. The man was clearly intentionally making the mistake for the joke.
  24. A tale as old a time for the Colts. This might just be perspective, but it seems like the Colts give up long 3rd and longs at a rate that is waaaay higher than the league average.
  25. great minds - really hope Dayo breaks out, our pass rush needs it.
