A lot of people are over looking this but CJ was the best QB against zone defenses. Diggs is one of the best WRs at finding soft spots in zones

exactly. And why? Because the year with manning on the sidelines, we couldn’t win… So they had to release manning and all of Polian’s players to start new with Andrew Luck. what was freeney’s contract- like 20% of the entire cap? lol…we don’t know what Polian would have done without Peyton Manning. The colts could easily be elsewhere, and Peyton Manning would have still been a dominant football player. Just like he was in Denver.
3 straight superbowls with the Bills and built an expansion team to a contender in 2 seasons before coming to the Colts. It’s been 8 years of Ballard and we are 54-60-1 with a 1-2 playoff record

Pre-colts is what you mean. Post manning in Indy was not so good…He wasn’t here post Manning. He was fired when Peyton was released

Ballard’s teams with Peyton Manning = same success.
that’s my opinion and I’m sticking to it. You can disagree all you want. Manning has his statue outside for a reason. Polian would have lasted half as long as Ballard has without him…
Polian resume pre Manning was still levels above Ballard

I think they view it as JT’s team and we are building tuff offensive and defensive lines. Running the ball can really help out the defense.
Dominate RBs don’t win Superbowls

Here's the thing - if Stroud doesn't have time to get the ball out it doesn't matter who they have at WR.
Edge rusher with 10 career sacks but high RAS is the way

To counter Diggs we will draft a DE round 1

Texans maximizing Stroud

Is Sneed that good? If so, it was a good trade. The Titans gave up nothing. I wonder why Sneed did not have other suitors if he is that good.
I cannot believe how upset everyone is about not trading for him.
Yes. Allowed 1TD as primary coverage player. He does get penalized a lot because he’s very physical with receivers

Not so sure about "failing." The team had a winning record and was potentially one terrible throw from the backup QB away from winning the division. The team roster is not horrible - it's likely 3 positions away from being even more competitive than in 2023.
As George Constanza said to the beached whale..."Easy Big Fella."
We played 10 back ups/rookie QBs last season. The schedule isn’t like that this year

So help me out a bit here.......why didn't Chiefs want to keep hold of Sneed long term considering initially, his contract with the Titans looks not much different from what he would have got for the year on tag with them.....they said they were happy to keep him for the year on tag then basically traded him for not a lot.....I get they are tight against the cap but if they hadn't made a trade they would have had to have dealt with that anyway.
They have to play like 4 key players next year. It helps they have McDuffie who was an all pro CB last year too

I agree. Does anyone remember when the Eagles were named "the Dream Team" after they won free agency that year? It did not help them win anything the following season.
Eagles signed lock down man corners then went to a zone scheme. Sneed can play both

Not a lot for the trade. I wonder what the contract winds up being.
4 Yrs 88M if I guess. He (Sneed) previously declined 4 yrs 80M from the Titans like a week ago

Yall remember when it was stated trades don’t get announced till after a physical is passed? Those damn trolls on Twitter
“Trade is pending physical for Sneed”

In a new BR article tonight Dianna Russini is reporting that the Chiefs were originally asking for a 2nd pick for Sneed. They really want to move Sneed. She now thinks multiple picks will get it done. She mentioned picks 46, 82, and 117 would get the deal done with the Colts. Does she know something? The hangup is the contract for Sneed. He definitely doesn’t want to play on the tag. It sounds like he has moved off his position of wanting to be the highest paid corner. So now it’s a matter of agreeing on the contract. She now thinks the Colts are the front runner to land Sneed. Another team could jump in but his market has cooled somewhat throughout the league but the Colts seem the most likely in her mind. Albert Breer was also mentioned in the article. He thinks Sneed will be traded before the draft.
The front runner was always the Titans. Chiefs insider stated the Titans and Chiefs had an agreement that fell through, then Destin ran with that story of the colts and chiefs were nearing a trade
