One thing for sure this team is much better then people give us credit for. We have a easy schedule we could make some noise. A win next week and going 3-1 the first quarter would be remarkable.

Moss is going to wear down. We need to give him relief. Taylor and moss will be a good backfield.

I believe your correct after watching the game I did see moss start to slow down which means injury could happen. If correct they just promoted someone off the practice squad who might help with some of the carriers.

  2. Good morning was not able to watch the game but was listening to it on the radio. 1 what was going on with all the personal fouls against Jacksonville if correct a couple of colts players were lost to injuries after the Fouls. 2 I like Taylor as much as everyone else and yes it would of been nice to see him on the field, but he chose this and lets remember he is under contract for this yr and if he would of not disputed his contract and just played yesterday his negotiations for a new contract could of went in the right direction. 3 my observation was like everyone else the o-line cannot block how is it in just 3 yrs they go from best to worst line in the NFL. Proud of the defensive play the play calling was suspect in occasions could of had a chance to win this one. On to next week

The Colts put too much pressure on first down.  If the first down play doesn’t work second is going to be run which gets stuffed because teams have figured that out and then the third down screen which teams have now figured out.  While first down is important that’s way too much pressure on first because if the Colts get nothing out of it you know it’s going to be a three and out.

So basically your saying the colts have no play book just 12 or 13 plays for the whole game. I think you summed it up perfectly

I’m sure they scouted and saw the #2 run defense in the NFL.  Like I said, they have more information than the people around here.

I was basically saying if your coach cannot find a weakness of each team and exploit it and changing things when it is not working and quit being stubborn. and yes you do not r

keep running up the middle on the 2nd ranked defense in the running dept

When Pagano would run on 1st and 2nd down everyone complained.  These are NFL coaches making decisions on the fly with way more information than we have.  I trust their judgment to make the right call.  The real reason it isn’t working is bc we aren’t very good

They scout each team weeks before they play them. If your scouts and the film does not indicate the strength and weakness of each team then Frank should not be a coach

Yes I know there are positives to take away from this game but it’s clear Jacoby isn’t the answer at QB and I am starting to wonder about the coaches.  You can’t win the turnover battle 4-1 outscore them 17-0 off turnovers and lose.  The coaches were way too conservative after the last turnover they got.  Waisting a timeout to call a screen pass that you have called in that situation all day was just bad.  Sticking with the zone defense and blitzing nonstop despite it getting shredded and then going man when you put a backup corner in there.    The safeties constantly being out of position.  This was just awful.  Worst game the Colts have played and coached all year.  Don’t let the deep passes fool you, Brissett couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn outside of those couple of big throws.  This team is not a winner and it’s playing like it finding ways to lose.   I know people are going to come in here and spin it and attack me because I am very disappointed in the way the team played today. That’s fine and while there are some positives take away that’s the case in every game.  I’d encourage you not to get blinded by your blue glasses and see today for what it was, a losing team finding away to lose.

I will agree with you on this. scoring 35 points you would think that you could not loose. As I has said earlier this team had no goal the day Luck retired. Your kicker was hurt all year. and the defense and offense regressed

Maybe this is over simplifying, but maybe stop grabbing receivers and it'll stop getting called?

I"am sorry I do not think the Players for the colts are the only corners out their in the league grabbing some shirt. It happens in almost every game it"s just a matter of who the receiver is and the corner is. Name is the key to getting flagged. Tom Brady made a interesting statement last week during the Monday night game between the Jags and Ten. That he was retiring for the evening due to many flags during the game. I live in NH for the summer and watched the patriots game and did not see one flag on the patriots during the first half. so tell me your name does no carry weight in the NFL

  8. IMOP if you have a good running game and a decent threat at WR and TE which if every has noticed the colts do have. Then the QB will have time to catch up. The QB and the First string players are actually going into their third game together as a unit. instead of throwing the QB under the bus for not being a elite lets see where he takes us and then reevaluate at the end of the season. All I have heard from the forum is everyone upset about not having a elite QB like Peyton  who will take this team to the promise land. The defense are missing a couple of key people who will be back, but are playing well. this team is 1-1 and a couple of kicks away from 2-0 and someone has already mentioned that the other teams had under achieved.  I will wait and see what happens then give my review of JB at the end of the season.

The guy played thru a lacerated kidney for the fans.

He battled back from the shoulder thing, for the fans.

He has always been a class act.

And tonight the fans booed him and hurled insults at him as he walked off the field.

    Its shameful how people act.

Yes I understand he played with a lacerated kidney, but may I remind you that after his shoulder injury and during his rehab he reinjured his shoulder snowboarding after he was told not do so. I believe he was already thinking of retiring months ago and used the lower leg problem as a crutch.

Isn't he a little small to play DE in 4-3? I know Freeney and Mathis did it but they were bonafide stars. He doesn't seem to fit at LB or DE in our scheme imo

Redefine bonafide star, I watched Mathis and Freeney from their start and it was not like they come out of the starting gates as the duo sack masters of the NFL. It took them time to find to find their chemistry.  It will take time to find out what you got in a rookie. If anybody notices most of your hardworking players come out of the 2nd and 3rd rounds. I'am not knocking on you just saying by looking on this thread how disappointed some of the comments are.

  11. Here is my picks for the first four rounds. IMOP

    26. Lawerance or Tillary which ever is available

    34. Allen out of BC or Risner out of KS

    59. Mcgary out of Washington or Edwards out of Wisconsin

    90. Johnson Jr out of Kentucky or Hooker out of Iowa.

I believe the Colts still need to build on the O-line and D-line and I would see what happens during OTA's and see who gets cut for WR's and CB/S this year this is my honest opinion

  12. the lack of pass rush and this being the first year under the DC put the corners at a disadvantage IMOP, As the year went along the corners got better. The colts would pickup a LB and or a good interior pass rusher the corners will be a lot better.

Gotta get better on defense ,we know mahomes and hill will be in our way moving forward .

well we played them once I do not see them doing what they did to us during the playoff game. But you are correct need to bolster the defense

  14. IMOP if the Colts play clock management and run the ball like they did against the Texans, Make the the KC Chiefs play from behind this is a game that will favor the the colts. I do not like the colts to get into a shoot out type of game with KC who enjoys playing for the big gain. the Colts need to put a spy on the QB like they did during the Texan game.

  15. IMOP the Colts are set up to play in the cold weather this year by controlling time of possession and by running the ball. No deep patterns and getting rid of the ball quicker. Also the defense has grasped the soft zone and the Tampa 2, by not letting anyone get behind them. this defense is geared to play from the lead just like the last 2 Super bowl runs. If Andrew and Co, can establish the run and quick throws and get a good lead the KC Chiefs will be one dimensional. I do not believe the weather will be a factor in this one as I do not believe this will be a shoot out.

The only real complaint I’ve had about frank is his teams still commit too many pentalies.  They showed the replay on all those calls against the Colts tonight and almost all of them were legit.  Hopefully this is just a product Of a young team and Frank will clean it up.

I agree the team commits a lot of penalties due to being a young team. But I have to say I have seen a lot worse when it comes to Holding. The RG for the colts was targeted by the refs tonight for some reason. now I believe some calls were questionable on both sides.

  17. Still a lot of games to be played yet. Colts have to play at Jacksonville, Texans, and the Titans on the Road. Home games against the Cowboys and Giants.

Houston has to play Titans, Cleveland and Indy at Home. Philly, Jets and Jacksonville on the Road.

Titans has Indy, Washington, Jacksonville and the Jets at home. Road games are Houston, Giants.

Ravens Have to play at the Chargers, Kansas, and Atlanta. Home against Cleveland and Tampa.

Steelers play at New Orleans, Oakland. Home against Chargers, New England and Bengals.

So IMOP I would rather Titans loose or the Ravens loose 3 of the next 5. I do not see the steelers loosing at home and Houston loosing against the Cleveland the Jets or the Titans

Oakland ranked 27th with 19.7 PPG

Philly ranked 21st with 22.2 PPG

NY Jets ranked 19th at 24 PPG

Need to take into account 2 of those games the Colts were missing a few key players. I very seldom mention or blame officials for a lose. But the philly game had to be one of the worst officiating games that I have ever seen.
