Yeah but even the second string DL on the eagles is talented enough to be starters on most rosters.
They're talented.....but they don't have 3 or four guys as backups who would start on MORE than half the rosters....

Again....Ogbah is negative value.....from Miamis perspective it's great....they dump an aging, overpaid vet, and that's how they make the room to pay Taylor..... They only give up a 2nd pick for Taylor AND us fixing their cap allowing them to pay JT.....uh....no.

Nba has plenty of examples of starts leaving the fly over country. if they land somewhere like LA or Miami they stay or if they do leave its to another big market.
Kareem said he wasnt culturally satisfied in Wisconsin but he did win them a title before leaving.
KD wanted out of OK,
Kawhi out of Toronto despite being on a good team.
Lebron wanting out of his home town even!(unless they had a great team)
Shaq to LA, Paul George to LA, I still dont understand what happened with Victor oladipo
You consider one of the most European cities in N.A., Toronto.... "flyover country?"

The vitriol is something JT likely didn't see coming from the fanbase to anywhere near this level. I doubt he thought he'd be perceived in this manner when this all started. He like many stars, probably assumed the well of goodwill he had previously built up here would see him through.....
Man, I bet that felt bad realizing the level of that miscalculation

Start giving Taylor some agency. He's not a mere witness to this whole ordeal. At some point he has to own what his agent is doing on his behalf. It's very likely he wants the same thing...
Oh I give him credit and agency. I think he's listening to the guy telling him he'll get a butt load of money and if we won't pay it, then go to Miami, great weather, nightlife....and JT likely sees zero income tax....

Yup, and I meant to say that also. I don't know if there would be any proof, but it's worth it to do an investigation.
Oh, I guarantee Irsay would have no issue asking for an investigation into the Agent. Would he jeopardize his newfound favorite child status by going after another owner though?

Yes, he did. He was liking like... a dozen tweets suggesting the Colts should trade him to Miami. The interesting thing was... he was liking ONLY Miami tweets and none of the other fanbases' desires for their team to trade for Taylor.
Yeah, but aside from the glaringly obvious and cliche "under the table kickback" scenario.....why would an agent, yes, even this skidmark wannabe, force a client to a team simply because they live in the area?
-
This Indiana Sucks crap I've had about enough of from Agents/Players.... across sports....seriously, if this is the case YET AGAIN.... am I blind, or do other Midwestern teams not suffer from stings of two faced defections like PG, Oladipo, Now maybe JT?! ALLLL grew into stars on our dime.....and said they loved it, us, the place ..the teams .. and then flipped like a switch? What gives.... No one is doing the two faced thing to this level in any other "flyover" state sports teams.

Some teams may start to pull back perhaps? Miami or Philly?
I'm now firmly on the "this is primarily to establish JTs value.....in JTs and MMAlki WaWa's minds"

Work that phone CB. Get then best deal you can. Hope there is 3 or 4 teams fighting for him.
I don't think CB wants to trade him. CB wants JT to come back and say, "Dang....Shaqarius must have had too many concussions when he told me all about his agent....this Milk Kawasaki guy is a *, best offer was 13/yr" or whatever..... Then CB says, cool....heal, play well, and well pay maybe up to 13.5 or even more with mega incentives....
Just now, AKB said:At this point I'm excited to see what Evan hull can do. Let's just move on. Tired of this by now
Hull can probably do a good N. Hines impression.... That's his niche.

Have read that Denver is now in the picture. Still have to believe Miami is the front runner.
Denver refuted that.

I was glad Zach hicks debunked the stuff people are saying about Richardson needing Taylor. Destin Adams even goes Taylor needs Richardson more. The narrative it hurts Richardsons develop is silly.
Oh yeah, that changes everything. I feel so much better now that Zach....Hicks? Is it? Said AR is fine and Taylor is the one hurt here .... great news.

Just saw this and I am also starting to believe this too.
How about his agent, a big Dolphins fan, got in his ear about how great Miami is and they will pay him big time. So he poisons the relationship with his current team to get them to trade him to his agent’s favorite team?
Not really necessary and not only hard to prove..... but unlikely. Taylor would take the money from Siberia if they offered.... Miami, Seattle, Green Bay, Houston.... I don't think he cares.

Seems ESPN had really done a number on him. No nuance to his reporting anymore.
Nuance? Holder never had substance to anything. When he is on radio, EVERY TIME he is asked about anything he starts his response with something akin to "you know, I dunno". "could be". Then when it gets down to the nitty gritty put up or shut up part of the conversation.... It turns into some variation of "you know, maybe.....but listen..... HERE'S what I would do if I was them, of course....Im not them, so i dunno"

Just read an article from PF Rumors that said the Dolphins called the Raiders about trading for Josh Jacobs. His $10m franchise tag didn't bother them so for me they are willing to extend him if they could acquire him. The Raiders said no. So I think they are very serious about acquiring a running back who could help get to the Super Bowl. They don't appear to be hesitant about making the running back happy with a new contract. If they can acquire one. That's why I think they are so serious about getting Taylor. With Jacobs now gone Taylor is their guy. They just have to pay the Colts asking price. They are still talking. The odds on them stepping up to the plate and acquiring him is pretty high I think. I love the deadline being set. Time will tell of course but this article tell me they are not afraid to pay a running back if they can acquire a great one.
Miami only has 11M in cap......

Holder seems to have morphed a bit since taking the ESPN gig.... it's like he doesn't realize he's there, for comparative peanuts, only because they massacred their workplace and dumped all but a handful of their talent and restocked from the dollar bin.....

So let's say Taylor is thinking Indy won't hang on to him because if they do.....He well not play until week 8, then play the last half the year, rack up his accrued season played, and head to FA or TAG war....
If that is the direction this heads, vs. Trade.... what is Ballard/Irsay's move? Is there one? Do you just play him the second half? Is there a path to telling him, "no thanks, here's your 4.3 mil, we aren't really worried about year accrual?"
-
Other than Pure Money/contract issue ....Why does Taylor want out so bad?
He's not demanding to go to a contender (not that he can dictate terms of who trades for him)
The "bad blood" doesn't seem to be ANYWHERE near the Five alarm fire level of all the assumed stances of the Agent/JT.
If he eventually gets his money here, say after playing and playing well for six games healthy and in the new scheme.... Why would he want out Sooooooo badly exactly?

Yes. I think JT is prepared to do whatever it takes to play the system so as to not play for the Colts. Even foregoing game checks until October which would tend to force a decision.
If he's cut, he'll get re-employed immediately. I think JT is betting about $4.3M that Irsay will not string him along the entire season.
Bad bet. Irsay paid Luck Tens of millions even when he quit, just cause he felt like it.
Irsay paid tens of millions to ship an Orca cross country.....just cause he felt like it.
Irsay bought a billion dollar memorabilia collection....just cause he felt like it
Irsay turned down a BILLION PLUS for said memorabilia collection....just cause he felt like it
Guess what Jonathan? You really think Irsay is gonna worry about blowing 4.3 mil to call your bluffs AFTER you tick him off?
