You do realize why QBR has been a stat under fire since its inception right?  The irony in your post is hilarious.  I'll spell it out for you, QBR is a stat which ESPN pushed taht basically adds the context to any given play.  In other words, it's a stat that has built within it the film review so that people who use it, like you, don't have to watch film of all QBs.  ESPN does it for you.

So, yeah, you citing QBR and in the same sentence criticizing me for not watching football is hilarious.

Hey guess thats you opinion Kid but hey keep getting mad over makes this conversation more fun what other QBs do you like more than jacoby so ican kill that argument to get agrip homie

Seriously? Why? Why the hell would you take Brissett over Mayfield? I guess... his personality might be one thing and I can understand it if you just don't trust him with the way he caries himself, but purely as a play on the field why? Mayfield with this OLine would be amazing! I would trade Brissett for Mayfield tomorrow if I could.

Bro go look at the stats jacoby is killing him. He has far better QBR hes way more efficient i mean imo (didnt watch yesterday) but baker is looking overrated

I don't think anyone would argue about this.

The thing is, Manning and Luck are talents that are hard to come by.   Heck, there are teams that have been trying to get that kind of talent for decades.   Mayfied was the first pick in the draft and I would take Brissett over him at this point.   Not even close.

I actually agree with this alot honesly maybe every qb drafted in the first round that year

not trying to make people mad, i just think hes mediocre despite a good passer rating stat.  we beat the titans in spite of him, and he did have a good first half in Atlanta. as for yesterday, he was bad like the rest of the team.  not the worst, but not good either

This chiefs game could tell us alot about him thats for sure but istill think he should get the whole season to prove to us one of us will defiantly be right by the end

When there is no down field threat, secondaries sit on the short stuff .  When there is no downfield threat, it is hard to run the ball.  When it is hard to run the ball, LBs are free to sit on the short, quick stuff.

The Colts have little downfield threat, and until this is rectified, we are screwed offensively.

Hopefully ebron remembers how to catch I liked his TD he could be a gamebreaker for us hes just a man coverage destroyer

Chloe made the most ridiculous statement in the thread but i dont see you going after that.   youd rather challenge me saying JB is mediocre when lots of people agree

Chole said one dumb thing all morning in my opinion youve said many and whats the point in jumping into argument with someone who said one idioic thing when i agree with 95 percent of posts im on here alot and i mostly agree with her and sometimes i cant tell if your being serious or trying to make ppl mad

Absolutely. This is my biggest fear. I think people leave with the wrong impression of me regarding Brissett. My worry with Brissett is not that he will be horrible. He probably won't be, especially with a good OLine and good playcaller in Reich. My fear is that he will be mediocre(what I feel he's been so far)... that he will be just good enough for us to waste several seasons trying to compete with him and be thoroughly overmatched whenever we need high end QB performance in the playoffs.

Our roster is nowhere near good enough to carry a QB like Brissett to post-season wins IMO.

I just think it will take till the end of season he got thrown into a really crappy situation we have to let him have some growing pains like luck did last year imo i truly think he can find his groove

i said long ago he isnt the main thing i would blame for the loss but he wasnt good either, and its more than fair to say that

Saying hes mediocre at best and thinking a unproven rookie could do better. and one week before the season starts and luck retires that why i see it as unfair luck lost 4 in a row and won freaking comeback player of the year give jacoby the same time learn

i said Jacoby was mediocre, i dont think thats ridiculous .  i hope for better than mediocre QB so im pretty critical of JB.  was tough on Luck after bad games too, he was terrible in KC and i didnt hold back

Than that just makes you sound like every other sky is falling guy. some times you have to look big picture. Instead of tearing down your guys down build them up im all for critiqueing a guy if he played bad but the unrelenting criticism you're putting on jacoby this morning is unfair and honesly makes you look like a troll

no they dont.  youre the same guy that thinks zones are only for when you dont have any talent in the secondary too?  not taking your opinion seriously

the bucs and seahawks had two of the best defenses ever and ran mostly zones

You act like thats more ridiclous than crap you've been spewing all morning

people said it wasnt about his numbers when they were bad, now the same people are trying to use numbers to says hes good

When were his numbers bad......o you must be talking about the time he got thrown into starting 1 week after getting traded o ya that 1 week before the season started o and he had to play behind 1 of the worst lines in NFL history

a couple of good throws doesnt make a good game.  now mention all of the bad plays he had

There weren't many actually all i remember last week is him going 16/16 and the falcons D looked shell-shocked ithought we were suppose to be on the same team that fact that you cant find on good thing about jacoby blows my mind you act like hes the second coming of chandler harnish

Jacoby's problem has always been that he stares down his receivers.

Is that fixable/coachable? Not sure, but it is something to factor when deciding who will be the next QB of the future.

I truly think that he isnt staring that much i thought last game he was quick and decisive of where he wanted to with the football i think yesterday was product of not having his number 1 and his number 2 ebron imo couldnt catch i also truly think we have not found a number 2 receiver which i think resulted in him staring down the hot route and throwing it in harder

a lot of people agree with me too.  i dont care if you laugh at my posts, you are homer and Jb can do no wrong in your eyes

lol at making fun of me, people make fun of you all the time

Or are you the type of person that sees everything hes done as bad he was our backup some people are stuck on that like he cant play cause he was backup hes better than half the starters right now

When evaluating Brissett, according to this thread, I don't think he was the WORST problem, but there is definitely room for improvement.  He had some bad throws and a pick 6, and he had some TDs and dropped passes.  It was just a bad game overall.  I will say I feel the drops were more costly than his bad throws.  I'd have to re-rewatch the game, but I'm not sure how many 3rd down throws he had that were bad.  I feel like they were 1st or 2nd down shots that were thrown into coverage.  Regardless of this game, I'm still ON the Brissett train.

I feel the same i feel he might have some bad games he was thrust into a unusual position i mean the entire offense was desined completely for luck he going growing pains and hes definitely going to need to get alot extra time with the receivers but i truly think he can com into his own in this offense and make us and the entire fanbase proud choo choo

Not trying to pile it on, this is just observation:

I think he's throwing it so hard because he has to. He isn't anticipating throws and staring down receivers and needs to rifle it in such a small window. He's accurate, but the receivers need to get with it already.

I realize they are going from Luck to Brissett, but work this garbage out in practice.

Oh, and if he'd stop staring down receivers, that would help as well.

I complely agree with this hopefully he starts to get some chemistry with some other than TY

i dont agree that hes our long term starter.  hes inaccurate, throws it way too hard every time and isnt good at reading the field

So you would call a guy who completed his first 16 passes last week inaccurate your either trolling or arent watching the same games as me
