  1. ...is that the Indianapolis Colts are the team to beat here. IF, that is a big IF, we land Sneed, Jaylon Jones could be moved to big nickel / safety, I think he will do well there. His draft projection also said he could: https://www.nfl.com/prospects/jaylon-jones/32004a4f-4e44-9507-e0b9-cde8b102313d Key lines: He might lack the long speed for foot races in press-man work so Cover 2 and Cover 3 could be his coverage destination thanks to his size and potential physicality, but a move to safety should not be out of the question.
  2. That is what I thought too. He has seen enough Ds that he can help AR. They will have to run a different offense if he is there but for a backup, Joe Flacco was plenty good: https://nextgenstats.nfl.com/charts/single/qb-grid/team/2023/week/joe-flacco/FLA009602 Plus, his average intended air yards and completed yards were both pretty high, suggesting he has no issues pushing the ball farther. https://nextgenstats.nfl.com/stats/passing#average-intended-yards https://nextgenstats.nfl.com/stats/passing#average-completed-yards
  3. Same type of WR as Pittman, role wise. Actually, Curtis Samuel would bring a different element where we can move him around like a chess piece, IMO
  4. That was a big part of them going in a different direction. They started off well but the chemistry tailed off wthey started forcing things. For a team that tries to win the off season, why then would they give up this fast? They spend if they really want to make it work They had plenty of underneath options in Zay Jones, Kirk and Engram but Ridley couldn’t be that guy for long yardage and Gabe Davis is that guy
  5. If you do want a system fit and an experienced presence that will be affordable, I would go after a young Tracy Walker of the Lions: https://www.pff.com/nfl/players/tracy-walker/51266 https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/tracy-walker-landing-spots-potential-fits-with-lions-releasing-veteran-safety-after-six-seasons-in-detroit/ I think he has potential and upside. Eddie Jackson of the Bears would be a vet presence having played in the Eberflus system but I am sure none of those excite us. George Odum was a find by Ballard that had been long ignored but made valuable contributions for us, so did Mike Mitchell. It is all up to the coaching. I do like Walker personally.
  6. Mike Williams released: https://www.nfl.com/news/chargers-releasing-wr-mike-williams-after-seven-seasons
  7. It is all in with AR and Ballard probably sticks around 3 years tops, with his approach and everyone has an expiration date.
  8. But they are not all in the Colts' division, that is what I am getting at. We have the misfortune of having all the other 3 divisional teams in a state with no income tax. I don't think any other NFL team has that @csmopar that is what I was referring to.
  9. Are the Colts the only team in a division flanked with 3 other teams that all have no state income tax? Florida, Texas and Tennessee have no State Income Tax.
  10. The Titans, if they had a choice, might go for Sneed that is younger than Justin Simmons, I am hoping.
  11. 15. Dallas Turner, DE, Alabama 48. Edgerrin Cooper, LB, Texas A & M 82. Xavier Legette, WR, South Carolina 96. Khyree Jackson, CB, Oregon 117. Theo Johnson, TE, Penn State 167. Khristian Boyd, DT, Northern Iowa I waited for value in all rounds and felt like good players dropped to where I was. Got No.96 from Jags for moving from 46 to 48. Gave up a future 6th and late round picks to get Khristian Boyd.
  12. Sometimes, you might hear it from his agent (Armstead's) like we heard the Chiefs were in talks to get Diontae Johnson but the Steelers preferred to trade him outside the conference: https://steelersnow.com/report-chiefs-were-in-talks-with-steelers-to-trade-for-diontae-johnson/
  13. Not happening with Ballard. If he didn't move up for the most important position sitting at No.4, I don't see him moving up for a WR.
  14. Why didn't they give just a little extra and get Arik Armstead instead of Davis? Would have been able to play a little NT and UT. Re-unites him with Buckner and is a great fit too.
  15. Mack and Mike Williams most likely will be gone. I'd like a stab at Mike Williams, don't need to rush the WR pick in the draft.
  16. I think the Seahawks should get him if he falls that far, to be honest. Drew Lock signed with NY Giants. It is a good fit too, like the Vikings but at some point, the Seahawks also want to rip the band aid off and see if they can get a better ceiling from a QB not named Geno Smith, from the draft.
  17. Here it is, the rumor: https://www.cincyjungle.com/2024/3/12/24099026/justin-jefferson-trade-vikings-bengals-tyler-eifert-jokes The Super Bowl is in New Orleans, go figure, an LSU re-union!!!
  18. I am surprised Tyron Smith at LT is still unsigned. Which teams need an LT badly? I hope he doesn't go to the Chiefs. What is his market?
  19. Don't worry, we will lose the off season and win the regular season division title.
  20. Could be but the only certainty is a team's draft position in 2024, I really doubt the Chiefs end up with nothing to show for in 2024 for Sneed. We will see. But the guy wasn't specific either, leads me to believe he wanted to be the first one to break the rumor.
  21. Woah, wait a minute there, don't believe everything you read, Titans don't even have a 3rd round pick for this rumor to be true (glad I checked): Titans picks: Round 1, Pick 7 Round 2, Pick 38 Round 4, Pick 106 Round 5, Pick 146 (from MIN) Round 6, Pick 182 Round 7, Pick 221 (from CAR) Round 7, Pick 227 Round 7, Pick 242 (from PHI)
  22. If we split 1-1 with Titans there, I will be happy with that. Sneed or Justin Simmons, if it still can be done by Ballard.
  23. I remember I was in Disney in Orlando, when Eric Ebron was signed and was wearing my Colts shirt when someone that was also a Colts fan said hi and gave me the news. Mahomes just restructured to make $21.6 million of cap room. Most likely Sneed is staying, I am thinking. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/39718569/sources-patrick-mahomes-restructure-chiefs-contract
