  1. I hope those in Indianapolis are taking advantage of the eclipse. I wish I could see it in total like those in Indy, Dallas, Buffalo/Rochester/Niagara Falls, and parts of Canada. Enjoy the experience!!!

Yep, I had both views, before and after totality. Central and Southern Indiana plus parts of Ohio also had great views.

  3. Hayward is reunited with Stevens in Boston. Congrats, happy for him since this is what you wanted. A better fit than Miami for sure.

Gordon Hayward has high football IQ but let us not get carried away by mentioning him in the same bandwidth as Lebron, Jules :)

He has made hay whenever the sun shone, good for him.

  4. Onto the NFL now, basketball is ruined for the near future unless someone else creates a big 5.

Colts and Saints win division titles?

Cavs have to win game 3 to stand any chance in the series, just to prove to themselves they can do "something" vs the Warriors. Right now, they are living in denial with constant underachieving.

Mad, mad world indeed. It is like they want to draw everyone to a WW III.

My prayers to those families affected.

No more warning shots, take them out in isolation like they took the innocents down.

  6. I hate the Patriots

They know it takes 60 minutes to beat them, so they play till the clock goes 0:00, not till the 2 minute warning (cough, cough, Giants :)).

  7. I'll eat my crow (assuming this is Hassle's last game this season). I Said multiple times that he couldn't even make us compete in NFL game's based on his preseason. Not only was I wrong but we won both games! Good job Matt and you guys get to serve me my plate.

  8. Does this continue in 2015? My best guesses: Buffalo, Philadelphia…and then I hit a road block https://t.co/BMlp0YPFnV

Teams that will replace them would be Saints, Eagles, Falcons and Dolphins.

4 teams that made the playoffs that would miss this time would be Panthers, Lions, Bengals and Cardinals.

  10. Grigs completely reworks front 7, but so many still complain he hasn't done anything...lol

    1. chad72

      chad72

By re-working, it might still mean we are back to the drawing board without the depth we thought we had. That might be a valid point regarding the front 7 because of several disappointments in Chapman, Werner, Hughes, Art Jones, and IMO, Jonathan Newsome too.

  11. Praying for the families of those reporters down in Virginia that's unbelievably sad

Yes, prayers for those two indeed. What a cold act of murder, planned and executed. I can't believe the details of the extent to which the murderer went by bragging about it on Twitter and Facebook.

  13. Watching CNN Special Report on Charles Manson. 45 Years ago that happened. Really guy and his followers were beyond wackos. Even horrifying to yours truly!

No different than what is going on in poor communities in the name of false Islam ideology. It is happening in Europe and the Middle East. Demagogues cherish disillusioned youth so that they can brain wash them with their false ideologies, whether in the name of religion or whatever.

  14. More doctor's visits. All blood work today and scans. I've had my share of needles today. Despite the beating, i feel pretty good. Happy to know my ears can be healed, though it's going to take a long time. Hopefully no nerve damage comes back, confirmed I have both ear drums punctured, and I can still hear, woo.

I meant, there will be a subpoena of Brady's phone records should this go to court.

Goodell reduces it to 2 games, that is my prediction. He will be subpoena Brady's phone records if he is challenged in court. Brady will hurt either himself or the Pats or both if he proceeds further, IMO.

  18. Happy birthday to my gorgeous wife radiogirl!!! I cannot believe you are getting younger and I am getting older!! I love you soooo much!!!!

  19. Christopher Lee gone, wow. Unbelievable. Cannot believe how many great people we've lost this year.

I think you mean Scaramanga in the bond movie "The Man With The Golden Gun", right?

Yeah, 2 very good movies I happened to enjoy :).

  20. I'm so close to being able to say Lebron's the GOAT in my opinion. If he can beat this GS team with the dump of a supporting cast he has.... I might be okay with it.

    1. chad72

      chad72

Lebron's supporting cast is nowhere Miami Heat good or even Golden State Warriors good, IMO. Michael Jordan probably had one of the better supporting casts assembled, IMO. He had Pippen for defense, Grant and Rodman for the rebounding, and the spot up shooters like Paxson, Kerr and Kukoc during both his 3 year runs. Lebron is playing more like Magic Johnson but doing so at a high level, IMO.

However, if his cast does not give him more help, he will wear out as the series goes on.

  21. Not a lightning fan but go lightning for the season 1. cuz I haven't gotten over blackhawks-flyers series in 2010 and 2. for stamkos. GO FLYERS AND LIGHTNING FOR THIS SERIES

    1. chad72

      chad72

Blackhawks are the big, bad bully that is sometimes too good for you. Will be the case in this series too.

  22. Only an Atlanta team would get the #1 seed, reach conference finals/NFC Championship and then get utterly destroyed like that.

    1. chad72

      chad72

I am happy for Lebron, would have never said it a year ago. It just feels right, him being home :). The team chemistry of the Cavs surprises me.

  23. Kentucky is the best team in the tournament. No team is semi-close.

    1. chad72

      chad72

West Virginia crashes the boards like crazy, those teams are the kind to give Kentucky issues. Expect Bob Huggins to prepare his team for a slugfest vs Kentucky

  24. Mel Kiper on a conference call says IU running back Tevin Coleman is a solid 2nd rounder: “To get out of the 2nd round would be a stretch."

    1. chad72

      chad72

Pretty much the RB round nowadays, round 2. I'd be fine with him for round 2 but there are 3 down backs like Jay Ajayi and Javorius Allen to be had as well, I'd rather go in that direction since I'm doubtful Coleman gets it done between the tackles.

  25. I know we have NFL General, but I propose a Patriots General Thread since there are so many Patriots fans here. That means you enter at your own risk of getting into arguments, and you only have yourself to blame for going there. This would help Moderators keep up on Everything Patriots. I was going to make this a thread, and still may depending on responses here. Thanks.

    1. chad72

      chad72

Everything Patriots is a great idea, IMO. But its not like we don't have to sift through some of our own fans sometimes :)
