  1. weird thing is, i damaged my ulna nerve, was damaged by impact, and after physio, icing and all that, one day it just came right, made a huge improvement. nerves are weird things. just wish there was a spot for peyton to come back to if hes not ready and irsay doesnt want to take the gamble with the money.

But he may do, he may pay, given that he can still throw the ball, i wouldnt expect peyton to be worse than 2010, he did have the issue then too, otherwise why would he need surgery.

Also irsay may feel comfortable that the clean sweep of coaching staff and the possible new schemes may be enough to turn it around, and be more inclined to take the gamble with peyton.

  2. This deal with the huge bonus, could they just cut or release him and then sign him again? i have no idea how it works, or what the rules are in the cba, i really only know a cba exists.

But is there no way to make the previous contract go away, then just sign him again? In other words tear that contract up, and create a new one?

also when he gets cut or released, or whatever way to make the bonus go away, he could just keep rehabbing and then sign later... or is it all not that simple?

  3. Im not from the US, and the nfl teams seem to have a heap of coaches, so my question is with the hiring of a new Head Coach, what staff does he bring in or does he control?

Is it all the coaches for every player position? OC and DC? From what i understand there is a coach for every position on the team... and they probably have assistants etc etc.

So ah any info towards the subject would be good thanks

  4. haha darn media, and we buy into it, because we have been brought to attention that something is going to be said. Its our own fault for believing what we read because we want to know.

And anyone can say anything... and anyone or everyone could/can believe it.

Irsay should just have one guy that relays all info, and until he says it, it shouldnt be considered true.

  5. Only person on there that seems likely is Laron Landry, the colts need someone like him in the backfield... i think this year in the draft its gonna be prioritized for the offense and they will get guys for the defense from FA.

really? i would have thought impact players for defense priority, then after the usual mixed picks for projected needs, because either way, i still think the offense is going to go well, only healthy players will say how well

  6. anyone know how much reggie actually wants? i mean he may not want a salary through the roof, but with peytons amount along with top pick, and all the other vets we may need to keep that may want a bit more than their first contract, there might not be much left. but i have no idea how much is available, just asking the question, making assumptions.

  7. mmm it seemed as though the pass was still a bit iffy, but the players seem to be having good days, i mean some guys stopped the run well and Lacey has been playing better.

certainly seems like he got the right personnel in there at different times, even though hou was going to run the ball alot. Prob have been preparing them better, as they looked like they new what was coming and what to look for to make plays.

  8. we did good against the run, let some plays go, but that was good blocking too. Still dont know about the pass defense, these guys may be more comfortable next year and play better coverage

although they if they can stop arian and chris, then they are doing something right, and with better scoring offense then back to old days.

  9. i think it depends on how these guys finish the season performance wise, not so much in wins or losses, but more how each player plays, and after getting a win, may just amp them all up, get that good feeling and carry over in the final 2, and may all play well. so they might end up not feeling the need to get alot of early round help on D, that would be the typical.

  10. why says the backups wont finish off the season... good time to get backups more reps in the game, so if something was to happen in the playoffs, backups dont look bad as. i mean if they win the last 2 games with several key players out, they will take alot of confidence from that

  11. Yeah the problem for Irsay was he was going to lose his rights to his own business in the following morning it appeared and the City wasn't willing to help him resolve any of the issues with the stadium until after the city/state took over the business. It sounded like he really had no choice but to negotiate a deal behind the scenes and move his franchise out in the middle of the night. Whatever the real behind the scenes story is/was, I would have done the exact same way if a governmental agency told me they were assuming my business because they could.

I am pretty sure that the city knew Irsay was trying to move the team after finding out about the eminent domain issue and the lack of desire to help build a new stadium for the Balt Colts but they kept on the pursuit of taking his team. Robert Irsay may have been the biggest, meanest, rudest uncarring, egomaniac, drunken owner, but nowhere in the reports did the reports say he wasn't paying his bills on time and meeting his obligations. He was a pee poor manager of his team but there are a lot of them, but you can't take a persons business just because you can as a government branch.

The last thing is, I seen the documentary a few years back and I can certainly understand the people's issues on losing their team. It is always the people who suffer for governments actions and a lot of people gave their souls to follow their favorite team but I do think in this case, the anger was misdirected at the Irsay's when it should have been squarely placed on the mayor/governor for puling the tactics they did that forced Irsay to make the choice he did. You don't see a Sony or Pfizer or any other business leave town and the building behind but allow someone else to keep their name and clients etc... The only way that happens is if you buy the company and the turn key operation including name, business and everything as it was. The Indy Colts should have the name and all the stuff that comes with it from Balt and it should not even be a question. The team left behind what the city/state owned, the stadium and the parking lot. I wished they would have brought the band along with em too just to keep that tradition alive of the team but oh well...

Oh ok, thanks for that. so that maybe why baltimore didnt get another team for so long? when the nfl were doing expansions and they were left out?
