  1. Kind of a must win divisional tilt. Lose & they’re 2 games back in the division and lacking the tie breaker. That would be a rough start. Win & they are in 1st (or tied for 1st with Houston) holding the tie breaker over the Titans. Really is an early season must win scenario. Colts will prevail! Go Colts!
  2. I was advocating that the Colts draft Big Q, BEFORE they traded down. To trade out but still get THE best player in the draft along with all the other picks ... one of the greatest trades ever!
  3. This past offseason Reich called him a top 20 QB. Me likey that Brissett is a top 10 QB. Keep it going!
  4. I don’t mind OT, but this nonsense of the other team not getting an offensive opportunity because of a coin toss is just wrong. Both teams should be given the opportunity to possess the ball on offence. Such a simple fix in the name of fairness. Sickens me that they don’t make this simple fix.
  5. I called it out as a bad call, straight away. Autry didn’t bull straight over the center, he was shooting the gap between the C & OG. Contact on the center was not direct, it was incidental. That is never a penalty and I was shocked how many in the game day thread were refuting my claim as it being a clean play, and instead ragging on Autry for being dumb.
  6. In the game day thread when it happened I called that out as a b.s. call, for he was just splitting the gap between the C & the OG. To my shock, a lot of users refuted my complaint, saying the penalty was legit. I was like, wha, what ... this is what the NFL rules have come to? Glad to hear that ai was right all alone no. Sad to discover that the crappy call was just yet another of the plays that reality stoically cost the Colts the game. That penalty that cost them 4 points. The Houston 3rd down sack negating offside that ended up costing 7 points, and the three Vinny gaffs that cost 7 points. That’s 18 points. Score should’ve been Colts 31, Chargers 13. This is why I am still feeling optimistic. Game that slid through their fingers, but a game against one of the AFC favourites that they really ought to have won. Go Colts!
  7. When Brissett needed to sling it to orchestrate a comeback, he did! In this game, there’s nothing he did that would’ve fallen short of what Luck might have been able to do. Brissett rocked!
  8. The book is not closed on Brissett’s ceiling. He just might actually be the Colts’ next franchise QB. He did most excellently in this season’s first test! Starting QB >>>>> than 2nd - 4th receiver!!!!
  9. Two key drops already tonight for the Steelers vs the Pats. Guy was but a tease when with the Colts, obviously didn’t work out for the Jags, and now failing for the Steelers. I had high hopes for him, but he never stepped up. No regrets on the Colts letting him walk.
  10. Can you name me a great back that doesn’t have a crappy half? In fact, I did a study a few years ago when arguing that Donald Brown simply needed more carries that clearly showed that MOST of the top tier backs very often gained a majority of their yards on a minority of their carries and very few RBs had excellent games when receiving fewer than 15 carries. Plus consider, for an RB, it is WAY more important to have a stellar 2nd half of a game than a first half, generally speaking, and in fact, that is exactly how it went for a lot of RBs best rushing yard performances ... after doing little in the first half of a game, they take the game over in the 2nd half. Staying healthy is the key!
  11. I am certainly not prepared to write off Vinny for one bad game. HOF kicker who has generally always been money gets the benefit of the doubt for one bad game. He might go the rest of the year making every XP and every FG. All these calls for his head, way premature and grossly reactionary. Now if it becomes a multi game trend, well then fair ball. (And last year’s game vs KC does not count.)
  12. Disappointing loss. Good news is, despite all the errors and given up points, Colts were right there against one of the AFC favourites. Should’ve won, so optimism remains! Oh, and this result would be no different if Luck were playing. Difference in the game = one defensive offside penalty and or 7 missed points on special teams. Just gotta clean that up for next week. Speaking of which, next week’s game vs Titans is HUGE! Must win to get in the divisional driver seat vs being 2 games back and in deficit vs a division foe. Go Colts!
