  1. Unless we can make him an offer he can't refuse. 😁 "His name is my name too!!"
  2. We should dump Ogletree and Cox. Ogletree is already injury prone, now has this legal issue. There's a reason why he was a 6th rounder and not a 2-3rd. Cox will be 31 next season, has reached his prime, and we can also save some cap money by releasing him. Bowers reminds me of Evan Engram. The only concern I have is that he plays the same position as Granson and Mallory. I would much rather prefer a WR, CB, DT, or LB with that pick.
  3. Kelly I agree should keep. Smith is overpaid. Slightly above-average RT for $18 million a year is too much. And I'm as big of a fan of Braden Smith as anybody; I've had passwords that utilize his name in them FYI. In today's passing league, anything over $15 million needs to be for a WR, LT, DT, or DE. If the "go all in" plan fails, that gets the team a high pick in future drafts. It's sad to say this but that is the way to go in today's league. It's worse to perpetually have picks 15-20 year after year, after year, after year. Those are the teams that stay in mediocrity.
  4. Ballard needs to take some risks. Especially when all of his salary cap management has gotten us nothing but .500 at best the past 6 years. Now's the time to do so when AR is still on his rookie contract. Load up on a few stars in FA, even if it means grossly overpaying for them. Cut the bait that aren't worth their contracts (e.g. Braden Smith, R. Kelly, Mo Cox). Instead of re-signing Grover Stewart to $10 million a year, go and get Chris Jones for 20 a year.

  6. Don't think he was a bad signing. At the end of the day, paying a kicker $5 million a year versus $3 is only an overpayment by $2, a negligible difference in the salary cap by today's price standards. Not to mention almost all of his misses are : - narrow misses (hit the upright) - long distance of 56 yards or more - while partially injured
  7. Right now, I have zero idea how FA would turn out; thus, unable to make a well-informed draft decision. This draft attempt (on Fanspeak) assumes that we re-sign most of our own and have minimal FA acquisitions. 1. Malik Nabers (WR) - gives us a legit 1-2nd option so that defenses cannot key in on MP2. With Josh Downs also coming on, this would give us a very solid if not elite WR group. 2. T'Vondre Sweat (NT/DT) - reminds me heavily of Dexter Lawrence. Player that is 3-4 NT size but game is more similar to that of a 4-3 DT or 1-technique. Will likely drop weight down to 330-345 lbs for the role. Also ensure that we do not suffer in run defense if any of our starting DTs are injured. 3. Cedric Gray (LB) - big and fast 6'3'' 235 lbs LB that can play inside and outside. Had 121 tackles, 4 PD, 1 INT, 5 sacks this past year. If he can play even 50% as good as Micah Parsons, would give us a legit LB #3 and also insurance, as Franklin and Speed both have only one year left on their contracts. 4. Max Melton (CB) - all-around decent CB for this round of the draft. Not a project, not a freak athlete, but performs. 5. Jaylan Ford (LB) - similar to Cedric Gray above. 6. Jayden Hicks (S) - potential playmaker at safety with good size of 6'3'' and 210+ lbs. 7. Tualia Tagovailoa (QB) - undersized QB that has mobile presence, can be a dynamic backup QB who is not a statue.
  8. There was once a young girl from Havana Who slipped on a peel of banana She's about to swear But her momma was there So she hummed the Star-Spangled banner.
  9. Other than the Stewart PED suspension, the rest of them are backups, 5-7th rounders, and PS players. Expected in today's league, and partially explains why they are not starters.
  10. After what happened with Matt Araiza, I will hold judgement on this 100% until more information is available.
  11. I'm rooting for Dontay Corleone, nicknamed "The Godfather" for obvious reasons. 6'2'' 318 lbs, has proven production at both stopping the run and pass rushing, can play either 1T or 3T in our scheme. Is only 20 years old now, so still has room to grow bigger.

#1 team need this offseason is the back 7 of the defense, specifically LB and CB. The D-Line is set but we need more back 7 players to make plays.
  13. In hindsight, the Kazee hit was not as bad as it initially looked. Looks like technically, his back struck MPJ's helmet, not his head nor shoulder. This was the initial impact; looks like his spine/upper back made first contact, which would actually put Kazee himself at a much higher risk. The Kayvon Thibodeaux celebration was 100x worse.
  14. One of those games when I wished we had a Richie Incognito. Would have kicked Kayvon Thibodeaux in the arm last year during that * celebration.
  15. Great coach who is rightfully a legend. For those who harp on his behavior and tactics, keep in mind he was born in 1940 and grew up in a different era where certain behaviors are not only normalized, but also encouraged and rewarded. One man's wilderness is another man's theme park. I can relate because I grew up in Miami during the 1980s-early 90s crack epidemic times where discipline was strongly instilled both at home and in school, because of the circumstances of my living. It was exactly like how the movies portrayed it (and its sister city Los Angeles); e.g. Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, Scarface, The Substitute, Pain & Gain. Most houses had a "beware of dog" sign. If you tried to use someone's driveway to do a 3-point-turn in a cul-de-dac (to exit the dead end), expect the homeowner to come out and brandish his weapon. In school, if I got a D on a test, teachers would tell me "you get a grade like this again, we're sending you back to whatever country you came from." No, I am not advocating that we reinstate nor continue those behaviors. Leave no doubt, those were good lessons in life for me and I can't imagine living life now without them. I still visit Miami on a yearly basis and feel very uplifted each time I go back.
  16. More like 244-255 now through various sources, with 244 being the combine weight.
  17. I saw one play briefly where he was lined up at CB, was confused, before going back to the D-Line. Very strange...
  18. Also A. Adebawore can play DE on limited snap count.
  19. Henry isn't the player he used to be; will be 30 soon and his YPC average is only 3.9 right now compared to his career average of 4.7.
  20. That's where I disagree with a lot of posters with, over the years. Team 1 takes the football, drives down the field to score a TD in the first series in OT. How random or lucky does that seem? When only a vast minority of all possessions even result in a TD? If anything, it is absolute 100% proof that they had won by skill, not luck, not spontaneity/randomness.
  21. Compensatory 2025 7th rounder would be my first offer. They've basically told him to stay away from the team, we'd be borderline doing them a favor by getting him. He IS a physical specimen though, at 6'4'' 238 lbs, 4.42 speed, and is only 25.
  22. Which reminds me of my fantasy team... Jonathan Taylor (RB) De'Andre Swift (RB) Isaiah Likely (TE) Jordan Love (QB) Ja'chai Polite (DE) Malik Hooker (S)
