  1. There was once a young girl from Havana Who slipped on a peel of banana She's about to swear But her momma was there So she hummed the Star-Spangled Banner.
  2. I hope he proves me wrong and I will be eating crow... Would not have passed up Hunter Leupke (FB) or Michael Turk (P). Potential pro-bowlers at 'weak' positions are better than players who never see the field.
  3. Will Mallory reminds me of George Kittle, now that I've had some time to do some cursory research. May be the BPA at that time of the draft, but still feel like we should have taken Andrew Vorhees on a redshirt year.
  4. Would love to see Michael Turk (P).
  5. For a second, I thought this was Dennis Scott, the 1990s NBA player.
  6. Would love Anthony Bradford or TJ Bass in round 5. Richie Incognito type maulers without the baggage.
  7. Guard - I'd prefer either Anthony Bradford or TJ Bass. Both remind me of Richie Incognito (without the drama issues). RB - DeWayne McBride FB - Hunter Leupke (time to incorporate a FB in the offense) P - Michael Turk (big 240 lbs punter, routine punt average of 50 yards per punt) DL - Karl Brooks (one of my favorites) S - Antonio Johnson
  8. Most overrated player in the league. There's a reason why a 8-10 sacks a year player has had 5 teams in 7 years.
  9. Playoffs? I'd be happy just to get a 1st down. Playoffs?
  10. Other way around. Richardson much much LESS fundamentally sound, yet still is able to play as good as Levis. Which is why I'd take the former over the latter. For lack of a better analogy...think of Dwight Howard vs. Emeka Okafor.
  11. Richardson is younger and more raw. When you have two producers but one of them is less fundamentally sound than the other ...he has not reached his ceiling while Levis has. We really don't need any more stuffs like the latter, whose ceiling is Jared Goff.
  12. Here's my simulation on Fanspeak (dated 1/19/23) - hard to copy and paste, so I'm using a plain text format. In addition to listing the pick, round, position, player, and school...I'm also subjectively listing their closest pro comparison that I can think of immediately off top of my head. Pick - Round - Position - Player - School - Pro Comparison 4 (1) - QB - CJ Stroud - Ohio State - the franchise QB, with the blend of right age for development, size, scrambling ability. Proven playmaker. High floor, high ceiling. - Carson Wentz (in his prime) 35 (2) - WR - Jordan Addison - USC - speedy slot receiver, proven playmaker - Devonta Smith 79 (3) - DT - Gervon Dexter - Florida - 6'6'' 315 lbs interior DL, ability to stop the run/rush the passer/bat down passes - poor man's Marcus Stroud 106 (4) - OG - TJ Bass - Oregon - good guard that can be had in later rounds, mauler in run game, instant upgrade at RG - Richie Incognito (without the issues) 139 (5) - CB - Tre'Vius Hodges-Tomlinson - TCU - slot CB, proven playmaker with production at the college level - Kenny Moore / Antoine Winfield Jr. 205 (6) - FB - Hunter Leupke - North Dakota State - finally add a FB to complement our RBs - can block/run/catch the ball a little - Kyle Juszczyk 219 (7) - P - Michael Turk - Oklahoma - 6'0'' 240 lbs punter with strong leg, high average per punt 51.2 yards in college - Shane Lechler/Matt Araiza but bigger 234 (7) - LB - Bumper Pool - Arkansas - LB depth, ST depth - Mr. Irrelevant for just his name.
  13. Trap game. These are the games that we needlessly overachieve and win, hurt our draft position, while halfway convincing ourselves that we are good. Time to get a top pick above all else.
  14. Not at all. Because the team that possesses the ball second in OT HAS to score in the OT period, effectively that makes the entire drive a 4-down-territory. Just like how every drive has 4 downs.
  15. I don't care how harsh this sounds, the purpose of the game is to win. Hines's loss is our gain. Lindsay is better and will play better.
  16. 110% coaching and playcalling issue. Hoodie with this team would be 16-0, 14-2 easily. Right when the opposing team has ZERO ability to stop the pass...why stop passing the ball? Team reminds me heavily of the 2003-2006 Florida Gators. Ron Zook fired after struggling to go .500, Urban Meyer takes them to a title 2 years later.
  17. Need more snaps for O'Dangbo, fewer for O'Dingbo, Banogu should not be on the field at all.
  18. Need to stop putting in Campbell or Hines... Put in MAC/Granson at FB, Woods at TE.
  19. Will be a good rookie class. Pierce and Woods are clearly playmakers in the making. Reimann will be a good LT or RT; worst case scenario, he can slide over to RG.
  20. Need to get Pinter out. He is overwhelmed at guard. Put in Fries or Dennis Kelly instead.
  21. Needs better blocking. I don't know why they don't try more 2 TE formations, including Jelani Woods. Or just put him at the slot position, he would be a huge mismatch versus any NB.
