Back to the topic at hand I think I read that CJ has a bone bruise?  That sounds awfully painful.  I don't know much about an injury like that.  What do they do for it?

My wife had a bone bruise in her ankle last year and the doctor told us that means the interior bone has fractured, just not the harder exterior of the bone. Recovery was several months including a couple months in a boot followed by lots of physical therapy. It's both painful and a long recovery time.

I'm not sure why everyone is so down on Reitz, he was our 2nd best OL on the field this year. I think he deserves the starting RT job. We are a good starting caliber center and a couple solid backups away from having a good OL. Depth was our biggest issue this year, we didnt have a solid backup LT on the roster to fill in for Castanzo when he went down. Castanzo, Mewhort, Thornton, and Reitz was a good OL for us, center was/is our problem. Oh and Louis has got to go asap! Hes horrible!

Reitz is more valuable as the #6 guy than starting at any position because his best talent is his versatility. That's not being down on the guy, that's using his greatest talent. It's nearly guaranteed that linemen will get hurt at some point in the year and I want Reitz there to plug that hole. Can't do that if you pencil him in as a starter.

  3. Any idea who's going to take over as HC there?

Don't remember his name, but the TE coach was named interim coach. The only way firing a coach mid season makes any sense is if you think you have a good head coach as an assistant already on the team. Hard to see a guy going from TE coach to head coach overnight being successful though.

Harbaugh is great at the beginning, but he has some serious issues dealing with other people, and that includes players, not just front office types. If you want to put together a sustained winner, he's not the guy.

Sure he might only last 4 years before players get tired of him but I'd be fine with that if he wins 2 or 3 super bowls during that time...

  5. Very solid list. My only quibble would be I think you have Palmer overrated by quite a bit. I'd put him borderline tier 3 and you've got him close to the top. He was borderline great before the acl but has been pretty awful ever since.

  6. Normally I'd agree with the assessments that we need to see him perform against first team competition before crowning him the next big thing, but those cuts he was making against the Eagles were ridiculous. He keeps doing that he'll be plenty effective when the real games start. This one again proves it's unwise to draft RBs in the first round. Every year there's plenty of late round successful talent and this year it appears the Colts found one of the gems.

  7. Toler has always been a gambler. Yesterday just happened to backfire in the worst way possible. I'm torn on what I think because I appreciate our secondary playing more aggressive now than in the Tampa 2 days but it sure is frustrating when a gamble leads to an easy 6 for the opposition.

  8. Yes McCoy, Chip Kelly is so racist that he immediately brought in another running back the same race you are that happened to gain more yards than you did last year.  He also got a stud defensive player in exchange for you.  Chip Kelly has made some questionable moves this offseason but trading this loud mouth wasn't one of them.
