Every win is a must win. The Mets should be a much improved team this season.

Saw them in 1969. Covered many of their songs in my band while in high school. Great times. Thanks for posting.

  5. Prince, a fellow Vikesfan, would have celebrated his 60th birthday today, if he were still alive. I think his halftime performance in Super Bowl XL1 was the best I have seen. And who won that Super Bowl?

    Continue to rest in peace.

Prince was one gifted individual. Very underrated musician. He wrote some great songs that were made famous by other artists. (Manic Monday/Bangles, Nothing Compares 2 U/ Sinead O'Connor, Stand Back/Stevie Nicks, How Come You Don't Call Me Anymore/Alicia Keys, With This Tear/Celine Dion.....etc.)

One of my favorite halftime shows & an even better super bowl.

I saw them back then. Both with Frampton & then with Clem Clemson. They put on a great show.

I still think Steve Marriot was the best front man ever.

  11. Teddy is back!

    After nearly 15 months since

sustaining a near career-ending injury, Teddy Bridgewater will be activated and moved to the Vikings roster today. He won't play right away but I believe he will play this year.

To commemorate Teddy's return to football, enjoy this video from B/R. Hopefully it shows here. Otherwise, watch it on YouTube. (Andrew makes an appearance in the video too.)

Love it. Laughed out loud at the line about LA now having a team & a half.  I really hope Teddy comes back better than ever. I picked him up a couple weeks ago for my FF. I'm stashing him till he's ready to go. (my league is QB heavy & my current QBs are awful)

My thoughts & prayers are with those effected by this senseless, cowardly act. I also want to lift up those in California where a troubled adult has entered an elementary school & taken a teacher or staff member hostage. My wife is a an elementary school secretary & these things really hit home with me as they are most times the very first line of defense in things like this. She & I always take these particular incidences personal.

  13. Fantasy Football Draft Day

    Are you all ready??? :excited:

I tried a couple of mock drafts in preparation for the draft coming up in fewer than 7 hours. The one I like better:

QBs: Brees, Winston (tons of offensive weapons)

    RB: L McCoy, C. McCaffrey, E. Lacy, A. Kamara

WR: Michael Thomas (Saints), Diggs, Moncrief, Marvin Jones, Cooper Kupp

    TE: Jordan Reed, Delanie Walker

    D/ST: Broncos, Giants

    K: Dan Bailey

If my actual team could look like that, I would be mostly pleased. The only thing I don't like is that I have 3 players on one team (Saints). I could have selected a different RB like Vereen or Latavius Murray. Also, I want to draft Luck.

    Good Luck to all. :cheer2:

Hooper is owned in my league. J. Rogers it's not an upgrade from the rbs that I have. I have L. Miller going tonight.

I went down hard. Lost by 29. A. Smith did better than expected on my team otherwise it would have been worse. Both Kupp & Golladay were snapped up immediately in my league.

Good luck to everyone in week #2.  I'm not confident in my chances.

      NFLfan,

It looks as if Sanchez has slightly better stats & I guess they like the fact that he can kick off as well. Perhaps his youth was a factor in the decision as well. A bit of a surprise to many of us however.

I see Jordan Reed & Travis Kelce both ranked ahead of Gronk on most boards. I didn't see the ESPN article. I wonder what their motive was as well.

The Yanks are certainly in the running but........I don't feel like they are in control. The good news is we are starting to get some players back from injuries. The upcoming Red Sox series will probably make or break their chances.

That would be a very good team. Good luck later on tonight. My FF draft isn't until the rosters are set at 53. Here is my best mock: (in my league you can play 3 QBs, so we draft QB heavy)

I want to draft Luck too.

      QB: A. Rogers

             D. Prescott
