  1. I'm a HUGE Marlon Mack fan... but I wouldn't even want to pay him 10mm+. I guess with the new CBA it might change, but with all the extensions coming up and wanting to bring in some quality vets for that missing leadership, that 10mm+ would be better utilized on a rookie RB (this looks to be a pretty decent class at the position) and shoring up another position. Like I said, I love Mack, and if we pay him that much, so be it. I'll still be rooting the kid on. But that just seems like a lot of money when recent history tells you paying big money to a RB is going to be a decision
  2. Something like this is my guess: Burrow Young Tua Okudah Brown Love Herbert Kinlaw Wills Wirfs Jeudy Simmons
  3. I agree. It wouldn't make me think less of Ballard, necessarily, because we know it's an upcoming need. It would make me feel like 2020 was more of a punt than if we took a different, hoghly rated prospect. We're pretty sure that if we got one of the top 4 OT in this draft, that we got a probable LT to replace AC in 1 or 2 years. That's a position that takes premium draft capital, so addressing that when we have the chance to do so without trading up and spending more picks kind of makes sense to me. But with the current state of the team, taking a position of more immediate need would be mor
  4. I have to agree with this. Our OL at this point, in terms of round drafted, is 1, 1, 1, 4, 2. The idea that we draft an OT in Rd 1 to play RT and move Smith to RG would result in a 1, 1, 1, 2, 1... all of which would have been drafted by this franchise. That's an insane amount of resources spent on the OL when we're already getting top of the league performance from that unit. I am in 100% agreement that we need to draft 1 or 2 OL in this draft, with an OT by the end of day 2... but at some point you hit the point of diminishing returns. I wouldn't necessarily be mad about taking an OT in roun
  5. Diggs @ 34 would be something to consider, if he gets out of the first.
  6. Well... per RapSheet Chiefs are slapping the Franchise Tag on him today. Even if they're looking to tag and trade, that likely wouldn't go to a team in conference. Womp womp.
  7. I probably would, yes. But if they're not sold on Love it's basically worst case scenario
  8. So: Burrow Tua Herbert Wills Wirfs Thomas (or maybe Beckton) Brown Kinlaw Okudah Young Simmons Jeudy This would leave options like Love, Lamb, Chaisson, Epenesa, and the 4th OT. So still some good options, though you'd hope there would be some surprises pushing some of those "top 12" down to our pick. Going to be interesting!
  9. Signing Scherff would give us 4 first rounders and a high 2nd rounder on the O-Line. 3 of which on rookie deals that will cost a whole lot more in the next year or two. I don't think we'd be wise in signing Scherff. Our starting 5 is good as is, just need some new depth.

  11. You'd hear no complaint from me if we ultimately decided to go that route. I will say, more recent mocks are showing both Brown and Kinlaw gone by our #13 pick. So many possibilities!
  12. Yeah, I remember the praise for the route. I mean, he was by himself, lol. It was just an awful, awful drop. But I hope he can get and stay healthy so we can see what he can do now that he's had some development.
  13. He did. I vividly remember his wide open dropped pass in the endzone. Aside from that it's been pretty forgettable though, so I don't fault them too much for not knowing, haha.
  14. Daurice Fountain implied he's recovered from last year's ankle surgery. He missed all of 2019 after suffering a dislocated ankle in training camp. "Back on field this week, praise the LORD. It’s been a long time coming," Fountain tweeted Monday. Fountain didn't get into any specifics, though clearly the 24-year-old's health is trending in the right direction following what could have been a career-threatening injury. The 2018 fifth-rounder has yet to play an NFL down but was turning heads before his injury last summer. SOURCE: Daurice Fountain on Twitter Feb 10, 2020, 12:10 PM E
  15. That's not a bad price if you think Tua can be the guy he was projected to be before the injury. I wouldn't be mad at it.
  16. St. Louis Battlehawks rocking the Blue and White and are the closest. Only team with a road W this week, and they did that against the championship favored, Bob Stoops led Dallas Renegades. Definitely my team. They go up against former Colts QB Phillip (PJ) Walker next week in Houston. Walker had probably the best QB performance in the league in Week 1. We'll see if STL can pull another one out. They are once again on the road and playing the Sunday night game.
  17. I've noticed that too. I think they've gotta go OL at #8 if they don't trade back.
  18. Yep, you totally captured the essence of my post. Good job!
  19. Eh, I don't feel there was any CK "hate" before the "lovers" started flooding every topic with pLaY cHaD kElLy - hez teh best!!1! SEC stats!! It has gotten a little extreme in both sides now, though. It seems like most here would be ok if Chad got a shot and especially if he did well. I don't think most here would be ok if we pinned the entire direction of the franchise on the idea of Chad Kelly. I think it's a situation if keeping him on the roster and if he gets a shot due to injury or simply blowing away the competition in training camp, great. But don't have your entire offsea
  20. Guy seems like a loon. I'm not buying anything he's selling. Just a bunch of random ideas that he's putting out there one after another.
  21. Woof. QB choice aside.... I'd be questioning this one if it played out like this. At 34 Hunter Bryant over Laviska Shenault, Justin Jefferson, Kristian Fulton, CJ Henderson, Curtis Weaver, Marlon Davidson. Most of those skipped over again for Terrell Lewis' injury history? This would be tough to put a happy face on for.
