  1. Actually, they’re not. In fact, very few are. Teams and Agents generally don’t work that way. Sure, sometimes things get leaked, but it’s never a guarantee that EVERYTHING, is leaked
  2. Every single year we go thru it and then find out 6-8 months later or sooner that yeah, we did infact target person XYZ and they chose elsewhere for various reasons. I have to say this every single year. This isn’t madden on Xbox or play box or whatever they’re called, where it’s as simple as throwing money at a player. Ballard himself just said the other day on the Pat show that they had targeted others but it was tough getting a deal in not having the QB issues solved first and admitted they’d missed out on a couple targets for that very reason. Then went on to say that they will keep churning all the way thru the off season to find someone, or even trade for someone. so patience
  3. You said Ballard could have used all the capspace and we’d have zero holes to fill. I’m curious how you think that’d be possible and with whom
  4. Because based on the title, I thought this thread might be something about our new QB, not another whine thread
  5. Don’t we already have a thread to whine about how Ballard is approaching things? oh wait we do. And at the top of the page too:
  6. Nope, them be the figures according to all reports, Atlanta eats most of it
  7. I disagree slightly with the last part. I think Ballard’s approach is that of the long term investor in the stock market. Build a portfolio that is solid enough to weather the storms, but in the trade off, maybe you don’t see giant gains as quickly. That said, when things go bust, you never bottom out either. Eventually once that portfolio is built, you can take the big swing and be fully set. I think the talent is there, I do not think the leadership in the players nor the coaches we had last season, some of which are still here, others moved on, is where it needs to be. The stuff we all saw, the things Leonard said in that interview speak to this.
  8. Interesting. I have some thoughts on that one I’ll share later Just stop.
  9. And I think I’m good with the vet option. But at a price that it doesn’t hurt the future. IE, no top 2 picks. No stupid amount of cap hits for a vet. Get someone to keep us competitive and role with an upgrade next year.
  10. Do you have a link to that interview? I’d like to hear it
  11. On paper. It’s like some of you all have never seen an NFL off-season. Every single year it looks like dream teams are created thats run the gauntlet, yet it rarely works out for long. Injuries, egos, etc eventually stack up and those dream teams rarely amount to any thing. Most “top tier” FAs don’t live up to their new contracts. Some do, but most don’t.
  12. Would be funny if he declined both just to do it not that it’ll ever happen
  13. Half the league needed new QBs, I doubt one falls. Especially in a weak QB class
  14. No but put him next to a Leonard and I think he’s worth a flyer on
  15. WR is one of the deepest and talented groups in the draft. I wouldn’t and didn’t wanna over pay for a FA WR except maybe trade for Cooper. But still
  16. Fair enough, but over the last 20 years, they’ve had the most cap space and spending and the most top 5 draft pics and still only have 1 division win? I’m not worried about the jags currently.
  17. Wow Jags do this every single year. Yet when was the last time they had a winning record?
