  1. Probably stupid to suggest, but I’d look at trying to trade Sam E and a low pick to Dallas for Trey Lance. Lance is more a Richardson Clone to back up AR, and signed for next year as well. We’ll probably lose Minshew next year. Base Salary is same as Sam. I do like Sam, but it’s pretty obvious by now Sam isn’t going to be the main back up in Steichen’s Offense. I believe Steichen can make Lance into a dependable QB if AR isn’t ready…..
  2. I’ve been a Colts, thus NFL fan for almost 70 years. After last year- I found the XFL more enjoying!!!!! And I saw a lot of PJ Walker!
  3. The XFL televises the replay referee live, hooked to the on field ref live. And many of the players interviewed immediately after the play on the sideline. Makes the game fan friendly and Fun!
  4. I’m a truck driver. I deliver every Monday in a Cleveland suburb. The guys there apologized for the penalty call, but were ecstatic about their win.
  5. I only listen to the games on radio, because I’m at work at game time. Watched the ESPN Colts-Browns Highlights YouTube, and the black helmets made it appear as blue unis with a black blob on top. Maybe the Horsehoe shows in upclose shots? But I’m a strong No! I’ve been a Colts fan since the Early 1950s, so yes, I’m for the Traditional ones, of course. But it’s actually because of the blob , no detail showing look that I’m against them. I could be convinced to keep the tradional look at home and add blue pants on the Road. Maybe even add a blue away helmet. But definitely a Strong no to the Black Blob!
  6. The reason the Colts need to keep Pittman- he never misses a down. Every wr mentioned trading for has health issues. Just like my favorite on our PS- KJ Hamlin. Denver cut him because of health issues. Jeudy is possibly available because of health issues.
  7. Colts signed KJ Hamler to the PS last week. Denver needed a roster spot, he is recovering from a torn Pec, and on medicine for a slight heart abnormality. They had told him they intended to resign him in a month, but Colts took a gamble and signed him. I hope he is soon healthy and called up! When healthy he should be the fastest on the team, and had excellent hands at Penn St.
  8. Last year Colts were supposed to be favored by many to win the Division, and fell flat. This year we are supposed to win very few- just develop players for the future (especially AR5), and we’ve been ahead or tied in the 4th quarter in all four of our games. That’s a significant step towards success.
  9. Fries played about 30 games at Tackle for Penn State. Maybe move him out there and substitute at RG?
  10. Looks like the Army’s 41st Mountain Sappers (Engineers).
  11. I’ll eat a plate of Crow right now. I’ve cheered for the Colts since the 1950s, thick or thin. I was sure the only game we’d win was the Houston Game here in Indy, and that we were building for next year, not this year. Glad I was wrong!
  12. To each his own, but I just can’t relate to your thinking. I’ve been a Colt fan since the mid1950s, thru thick and thin. It’s entertainment. I can’t imagine any other way to be a fan?!?!
  13. I was a married man in my 20s. I have no idea what system it was. Was something you hooked up to a black and white tv.
  14. My wondering mind asks: If AR passes protocol by Sunday- can he be the Backup and maybe have Packages for him? My next question becomes- if he passes protocol but not Active- isn’t he the Emergency QB? Further- if he doesn’t pass- who can be an Emergency QB, since to be a 3rd one, one has to be on the 53 and not a called up Practice Squad player? What other Colt would follow Gardner and Sam and play the Tom Matte Role (when Unitas and Cuozzo were injured and Matte played QB in the Playoffs?) Lets hope all goes well and there are no injuries!!!!!!
  15. I’ve never seen a Madden video game. Last video I played was Pong in 1978.
  16. I only hear the games, I rarely see them. In an interview I heard of Rick Venturi, Rick said Pierce was wide open Sunday for a 60 yd TD, but Richardson missed him. I don’t know if he meant Anthony missed seeing him, or missed the throw? I got the impression Anthony missed seeing Pierce.
  17. Chubb just got his knee exploded in the Cleveland -Pittsburgh game…
  18. Give French/Fries some seasoning. And a chance to ‘CatchUp’….
  19. I doubt Q misses, but Hambright wouldn’t be his replacement, IMO. Josh Sills replaced Q last week while Q was out. Hambright would be the backup to the backup.
  20. With the 2nd pick (I see Az winning zero, then us next) we can actually trade down to 3 and take Harrison Jr. Other than maybe one game against Houston , who do you see us beating, that you think we have no chance for Jr?
  21. Yesterday surprised me. I had predicted they wouldn’t win a single game, but the whole team played better than I expected. Get AR experienced, get Hull healthy and experienced, add Marvin Harrison Jr in the draft, and next year can be exciting
  22. He got a 64 for pass blocking. If he is a 64 and the worst- and AR still was under pressure, I’m guessing the receivers weren’t open and it wasn’t the OL? I drive a truck, so I only heard the radio broadcast, didn’t see any of it.
  23. The most recent Colt RB that most fit Steichen’s System was Nyheim Hines. Now, it’s Hull. But he’s hurt.
  24. Fries played mostly Tackle at Penn St. That’s what the Colts drafted him to play. He was put in at Guard last year here because of his Pass Protection. He was not strong enough for NFL Run Blocking. The Colts picked Sills off Phila’s Waiver List because of his Strong Run Blocking, but admit that Fries is the better in Pass Pro. I’ve never seen a report saying Fries is known for his Run Blocking.
