  1. I loved today as a Colts fan.

We got a Great #2 CB in DJ and a steal in Anderson. This was a great day overall. Continue this tomorrow and I'll feel a lot better about Dorsett in the 1st. Going Defense heavy for now on. I say we try hard for Collins or Clemings early tomorrow.

I love the trade back as well. Tomorrow will be very fun with 2 4th round picks, 1 5th, 2 6th, 2 7th.

  2. After the Colts first interesting pick of the draft, where will the War room go now? I'm hoping that we go all Defense. I wouldn't mind a RB either, but we gotta get some talent on the other side of the ball. I'll put 2 players for each pick that I'd be happy with.

    2nd Round:

Quinten Rollins, DB, Miami (OH): He was a CB in college but projects as a FS in the NFL. He fills a HUGE need. Good tackler, ball-hawking safety. Not near as much of a liability in coverage as Landon Collins is.

Randy Gregory, OLB, Nebraska: Yes, I know, the off-field issues are quite alarming but we're talking about a top 15 pick falling to the bottom of the 2nd round here. The hope would be that he comes in and his personality changes by being in a better locker room. It did wonders for Vontae Davis(even though he wasn't doing drugs) but people called him lazy and now he's a top CB in the league. This is a huge VALUE pick, Boom or Bust but that Boom is too big to ignore.

    3rd round:

Ameer Abdullah, RB, Nebraska: I had to go with offense here, with this RB class being as deep as it is. If he falls to us in the 3rd, we should definitely take him. I love his tape. I think he'd be a great fit in our offense.

Carl Davis, NT, Iowa: He had an awesome senior bowl and could step right in and be our starting NT. We need help stopping the run and that's exactly what he would do. He has first round talent, the problem is that he is lazy and had terrible interviews. He doesn't have a great motor. This fills a bigger need but is more risky than Abdullah.

So who do you guys want?

  3. Here is the problem with this situation. Most teams would be very happy with 3 years in a row to the playoffs in first 3 years of a new regime. It's almost unheard of. The problem is that the team isn't getting much better.

The Colts keep losing to the same team in the biggest games of the season. For 2 straight years, the Colts have gone to Foxboro during the playoffs(Divisional round last year, AFCCG this year) and gotten embarassed both times. This time was even worse than last year. We are seeing zero improvements in what the coaches tend to preach all offseason and since they have been in Indy. "Stop the run, Run the ball". It's aggravating when you know the mistakes but don't know what to do to fix them.

Is it the players? Somewhat. Is it the coaches? Same, somewhat. The problem is that this team is showing they never have a chance to go all the wall because they cannot improve every year.Grigson goes out every offseason giving huge contracts to players that make minimal impact. He has also given away 1/3 of the 1st round picks we've had an gotten absolutely nothing in return. The best move Grigson ever made was trading a 2nd rounder for Vontae Davis. He's awful in Free Agency however. He picks up old, washed up players that are mediocre at best and pays them high-mid range contracts and they do nothing to improve the team.

Why can't we go after players that actually would make a difference, even if the contract is pricey. I think this team could greatly benefit for getting a player like Terrance Knighton or T.J Ward(last year). We decided to go with D'Qwell, Nicks, Jones, Adams. Jones is severely overpaid so far since he can't seem to stay on field and Adams is good, but nothing too great. He was the only improvement I saw from our FA class this year. Jones turned it on at end of year, but too little, too late.

This team is starting to get the label of "soft" and it reminds us all of the teams we built around one of the all-time greats. We wasted the opportunity at multiple championships with Peyton and it's feeling like Deja Vu with Luck. This team is scared of playing the best teams in the NFL primarily the Patriots, we can't have that. We have to be the team that is feared by others.

I say go pick-up Marshawn Lynch in offseason. We need someone with attitude on our team.

  4. I would love to keep Adams, but only for the right price. He's an average safety but that's still better than Landry who is making the big bucks.

I want to replace Landry with someone else but we won't. His dead money if we cut him is only 3.5million, but his cap hit is 5.8 million. Don't know if it's really worth cutting him at this point unless we pick up a FA or high draft pick at Safety.

  5. Guess I don't know sports.

Why would we not want to beat the tougher team!? When I played I always wanted to. If you can beat a great team that demolished you earlier in the season that would be a HUGE confidence booster and prove that you belong. It would also bring in a huge boost going to NE.

Sure we would love to beat the tougher team. But why not make that tougher team the 2nd week after an easier game? You don't want your playoff run to be against the best teams...the chances of you moving on are much less.

Any playoff win would provide a huge confidence boost going to NE or Den. It's one game at a time anyways, we need to focus on beating the Bengals then focus on the next team.

I didn't say you don't know sports, I was simply saying your logic is flawed. Every game in the NFL is tough, why make it even tougher on your team?

  6. Would rather play the Steelers. They are a better and tougher team. No reason to take an easy road just to get demolished by the Pats once again. :/

That's dumb logic. Any team or person that knows sports would take the easiest road to the SB. The whole "play an easy team and fail next week" is ridiculous. Bengals are far from easy and a win in the playoffs no matter who it's against can be great momentum.

Go Colts! Let's hope it's a repeat from earlier this season. 27-0 Colts!

  7. Chris C just said we have all witnessed...  "magic",,,    by Russel R....

    Against...  Ryan L?          really.....

    wow

Must be nice to have Marshawn Lynch running it...

It's absolutely ridiculous how bad our run game is. We should draft another OL in 1st round this year, RG or RT or even Center...It's useless to even attempt a run with this O-line.

(Sorry, meant to add this to last post but hit Post too soon)

  8. This is the least excited i've felt about a Colts playoff team ever.  I had more hope going into the 2006 playoffs before our miracle run...at least we knew we were getting Bob back.  But I expect virtually nothing from this Colts team right now.  So disappointed and embarrassed.

I wish we were getting Robert Mathis back for these playoffs >.<...man I'd be so much more confident.

  9. If Colts beat the Titans:

So if Bengals lose tomorrow to Broncos and beat the Steelers, we will be the #3 seed and play the chargers if they win next week.

If Bengals lose the next 2 games we will be matched up with Bengals as the #4/5 seeds. Probably our best match-up here.

I surely hope the Bengals lose the next 2 games. I don't want to play Chargers or Steelers

  10. TY looked very soft against the Pats. Both Talib and Dennard played him physical and a few times he took himself out of the game with a slight limp. I think Denver will employ the same tactic and have Talib on him tight and look to knock him off his game. I hope Reggie is back to his old self as I do think the Colts O can do some damage.

He still had over 100 yards! What do you guys want from the guy? 10 catches and 200 yards every game?

I understand the pats beat us but people tend to forget it was a one possession game in the 4th quarter and then we got Blounted. It happens, it was in Foxboro in the winter and we lost. We didn't have a run game, Reggie was gone and a couple of our primary receivers were Brazill and Rogers.

Talib is terrible against speed, he likes big receivers. I can only hope they put Talib on Hilton. Especially with Reggie, Hakeem, Dwayne and Fleener. I would LOVE if they put Talib on the small, quick guy instead of a guy he can actually cover.
