It wasn't that hot (93 indoors, 102 near the ovens)but it was humid and we were short handed so there wasn't much down time. I always take 4 or 5 liter size bottles of sparkling water to work with me and drink them all but rarely need to "pause for the cause."
Nope, I'll never get sunstroke, my water processing equipment works overtime.....but thank you for the good advise!

Finally broke down and hooked up the air conditioner, no more open windows till after fall harvest!
-
Today after washing my truck a group of birds flew over and dropped several loads on it so scrambled up a few eggs and leaned on my truck while I ate them. Haven't seen any birds overhead since......

Daughter got engaged 2 weeks ago and today I read an article that the "average" wedding costs almost $27,000!!! Anybody know a millionaire looking to give money away??

Yup, for the bride to be it is their opportunity to play the role of princess. Everything is for her: the cake, the gown, the photographer, the presents, & the shiny diamond ring...Meanwhile, no one came to see rental tuxedo boy & all he gets is a thin silver band on his finger that looks like a washer that fell off a major appliance. Wedding are no laughing matter from the female perspective...EVER!!!

Just finished watching "Forrest Gump" again. Three hours well spent.

Great weekend off, my favorite show "Eureka" is back with the final 6 episodes!

My daughter is engaged, wedding plans indicate the wedding is NEXT year.....Hallelujah! I might be able to pay for this without getting a loan......

Had a great Easter holiday. Family, food, friends, what more does anyone need?

I'ts a whole different world I guess.
When I hear my brother - who spent the first 40 years of his life living in NJ, then Philly, then Long Island - talking with a southern drawl, my mouth just hangs open in astonishment with probably spit pooling up on my shirt. Not saying it's a good thing or a bad thing, but I just can't wrap my head around it. At LEAST he isn't a Cowboys fan. That would be just too much.

The laughter of a child magically transforms a house into a home, is there anything better than being a grandfather??

Yes, I know nutrition should come 1st I suppose...Emphasis on should...but I do try to get my nephews to eat a least 1 healthy item while I watch over them. Perhaps, I should take some pointers from you Gramz. But, I was glad to see you splurge & give Kyndall a few M & M's under the table...LOL Gramz.

Important tip: If you ever need to find the exact center of anything, drop something and it will be there!

Thank you for everyone working so hard to get me 5 stars! Now lets get EVERYONE 5 stars.....
-
Long night at work, lots of sweat, lots of repairs to keep buns and bread flowing to retailers all over the midwest. Goodnight everyone.
-
A reply I made now has a gold star that says "[popular" on it, first time I've seen something like that. Now I'm wondering what other surprises are programmed in to this board?
-
Ok, the day got better even though I have to go to work in a few minutes, back at O-dark-30!
-
Just noted that on my profile there are 5 stars and only one of them is gold. How do they work and who did I annoy?
-
In the 80s last week and the 30s today. Yeah, summer is going to be interesting.....
-
Ahh, spring is back. Temps in the 50s after a week of record highs.....
-
Working at home repurposing plates and vases into bird feeders for craft stores, the hard part is drilling through the ceramic without breaking it.....
-
Forget what I said last night about the heat at work. Just spent 8 hours in a freezer the size of a basketball court chipping ice at -10 degrees. I hope to warm up by morning......
-
Working in a bakery when it is hot outside really is a job......

I get that, not a big fan of the heat. My office is air conditioned, but I frequently have to go out on the shop floor and we have ovens, it can get upwards of 120*F.. going to be a long summer, if 80*F days are starting already. The fog here was fanstastic this morning though 0.3m visibility, was really cool rolling off the lake

The Colts cleaning (or is it purging) house continues. For the first time in years I'll have to use a program to know the players.

Reeeeally sad Peyton couldn't stay but happy he has plenty of new teams to pick from but hoping the Dolphins get him.
