2020 67.6 35 13 105.0
He's not great but he's pretty decent.
he's definitely been good imo and part of his career has been on a terrible Washington team and the Vikings almost always have a garbage OL too

Calling Cousins a top 10 QB is HIGHLY questionable.
not really

I agree we need to just trade for Kirk the 49ers can kick rocks

Brace yourselves JMV was just on FOX 59 saying the only name he’s hearing is Nick Foles. With that said JMV seemed to be taking the stance of that can’t be true.
this is my fear I don't want to get Foles

Idk? I know @NFLfan would.
There was a link posted last page I think about the possibility. I need to go back and check it out.
I never thought of Cousins as an option and I'm sad that you made me think about this lol

You see my comparison post, with Cousins and Stafford?
I don't see how so many posters would want Stafford but not him?
I'm literally the one guy on this board that doesn't need sold on Kirk ill take him right this second if they would trade him and I'm buying his jersey day one lol

You really like Cousins. Look what a 49ers guy had to say about Cousins:
"Cousins is seen as an above average starting QB who is a bad leader and thus not someone worth trading for. I think most of the NFL sees him that way."
Kyle Shanahan loves Cousins. I would love it if we could swap QBs. Cousins for Jimmy G and a 2nd or 3rd rounder.
You might appreciate this article. Trading for Cousins is not impossible:
I wonder how many Colts fans would like a trade for Cousins. @Colts_Fan12 loves Cousins. I know @stitches is not a fan. He and I see Cousins the same way.
I would take Cousins right now in a heartbeat but you probably already knew that

If we go the youth route, I would absolutely get someone like Winston or Fitzpatrick or JB to push our youngster and be competition for him. If we are not getting a youngster... then... sure... bandaid away I guess, but it ultimately doesn't matter until you get your long-term solution. BTW Mike Renner from PFF had an idea for us if we can't get Stafford or one of the QBs from the draft - Cam Newton. At first I was like "hell no" but... if you think of him as a bandaid rather than as the solution, I guess it would be alright, especially with our OLine and Taylor. Frank can build a double threat offense for the time being until we get our long-term QB some time in the future... but quite honesly I'm getting kind of sick of bandaids.
I wouldn't trade for Orlando Brown. Not because he's not good, but because again, like with a vet QB, you will be paying BOTH premier pick AND huge salary. If possible I'd like to avoid that situation. I'd rather us pick a LT from the draft.
only reason I'm big on Brown is cause he is a proven LT over a unknown rookie who could bust. The QB thing I have no idea what the hell is gonna happen lol

Yep, I've been saying that since last draft... at some point Ballard has to make his bet on a QB and the good ones are expensive either financially or as draft compensation... or both. I personally am not so sure the window is right now(too many important positions need to be addressed and ALL of them are the most important positions - we need QB, LT, 2xDE, 2xCB, a WR... maybe TE) so I'm willing to go the youth route with a QB. I want him to go scout those QBs in the draft and fall in love with one... or more. And go get his guy. I don't really care what it takes(within reason). If you don't have a long-term QB you will always be looking for one and this will stunt your stability as a franchise.
My personal preference right now is taking a step back with a young QB and building around that QB, our OL, Taylor, our young WRs on offense and building around Buckner and Leonard on defense. This very likely means we will take a step back next year, but IMO the long-term prospects are better than trading both premier picks and giving big money to a vet who is not elite.
so would you be good with another bandaid QB like say Winston Fitzpatrick or JB or would you rather see what we got with Eason? I agree we have many holes to fill thats whybay this point I'm actually more interested in the idea of trading for Orlando Brown to be our answer at LT and then see where we are at with a QB next off-season

Would you guys trade this years 1st and 2nd, next years 1st and 2nd for this years #1 to get Lawrence?
yes lol but that also has a 0% chance of happening cause the 1st pick belongs to a division rival sadly

Lawrence of course but he is going #1, I think Lance will be good at worse.
agreed lol I'm just the type that thinks a 8-8 season is just as bad as tanking both are a wasted season to me so if the plan is to have some scrub like JB than just throw Eason out there and trade for Orlando Brown lol and if we are picking top 5 next year we will just get a QB then

I will say this, if I was going to gamble I would trade and get Trey Lance. I think he can be great, I am not sure why but I have watched this sport for 43 years and it is just a gut feeling. I like him better than Fields.
I only like him and Wilson

our roster or cap is not rebuild ready
we definitely don't need a rebuild just need to commit to getting a QB I don't really give a damn how CB does it he just needs to get it done soon

I wish I could talk to him, he would look at me like a nobody but I would tell him you only live once and you have a chance to be one the greatest QB's ever. He now has a Line that can protect him and JT is a beast.
Luck or Watson otherwise we are the Pacers.
that is definitely my big fear being the NFL Pacers

Luck needs to come back if we want a SB or trade for Watson. That is basically the bottomline. No other QB will get us there.
I'd absolutely love Luck to come back but I know he isn't going to. I also know the Texans will never trade Watson here so like I said I'd be ok with the risk of a down year to see if Eason is anything special. that's also why I'd trade for Orlando Brown Jr this year he is a proven LT better than an unknown rookie.

I'd rather have less wins..... lol
Give me Lance, Eason, or Darnold.....
I agree if we are not gonna trade up enough for someone like Wilson than to hell with it I'd rather just throw Eason to the wolves if he sucks we pick high next year and if that's the case in intrigued by orlando brown possibly being available
-
23 minutes ago, GoColts8818 said:
I don’t think either of them are going to be available. My guess is the Lions see Goff as the bridge to their rookie and I think after seeing how getting away from Gase fixed Tannelhill are going to stick with Darnold for another year and if he’s bad again they will probably be bad and be in position to get a QB next year.
I hope the jets stick with Darnold then that would keep Wilson on the board past them

honestly if we are not moving up to like 6 or 7 for a good young qb I'd rather just trade our 1st for Orlando Brown Jr to play LT and go with Eason and if he's good we are set if he sucks we get a qb in 2022

There is no other difference making qb available. Nick Files will probably be our big move.....gag me with a pitchfork.... But I'd prefer that to another worthless year of JB apologists explaining to me how he leads us to quality wins, despite his massively glaring weaknesses.....
this is my fear too we will end up with Foles
