here is that great let’s not get beat deep secondary that will result in points for the Panthers and give them unneeded momentum going into halftime.
We should be used to it by now. Been getting torched on d in closing minutes of games since Manning days.

When is the last time we had two 1,000 yard receivers?
Guessing without verifying, but prolly sometime during the Dallas Clark, Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison days.

In two weeks time no less. Shutting down your rookie quarterback for the season tends to impact your standing in the division. Who knew?

All of this happened when he changed his name to Shaq
Yeah. That would be a weird coincidence that I can see no way of it impacting his play, but nevertheless, it is coincidental.

He played a clean game for most of the contest. We are just decimated by injuries at CB so even though Shew is scoring the D is getting killed through the air
And turnovers by minshew. 8 turnovers in 2 games. Not a winning.

Agree . Franklin was bad , Leonard was bad and like you said the pass rush was lousy .
We paid Leonard and he gets injured and hasn’t been the player we paid for since. Flipping annoying as crap. The Maniac is basically a mild tempered man now. I see a shadow of the player he was on his rookie contract.

It was BAD, but made much worse by the fact the DL for most of the game was not pressuring Carr without a blitz call. The front 7 was equally bad today.
I also blame Gus Bradley, he’s so hot or cold with the defensive play calling. Last week was Exhibit A. Deshaun Watson goes down and we’re bumrushing PJ Walker and it’s effective as all hell. Then inexplicably, we do stuff like sit back in coverage and get torched most the second half.
Today wasn’t much different. I honestly think it’s less the players and more the vanilla bring 4 guys and plain coverages.

The key to run run, don’t telegraph it. Spread things out to give the appearance that you may indeed be going to the pass. The big problem of the Reich era, when running they were almost always in a telegraphed power run formation, which almost ALWAYS failed That crap was too bloody predictable.
Reich: "I don't care what happened the last dozen times we ran this play, I want Nyheim Hines up the middle on 3rd and goal from the 2 yard line. It'll work this time."

OMG a pass further than 10 years downfield was completed. Two of them in a row! Holy bleep. Only took almost 3 whole quarters…

I am really curious to see baltimore's ratings as compared to teh colts. If there's is similar or slightly lower, or if they're higher. Because I mean, all of our scores seemed pretty low and we won.
-
Now we just need him to finish a game. I saw clear improvement between week 1 and week 2 and I don't think anyone needed someone like JT O'Sullivan to dive into film to tell us that. I thought his throws were cleaner than last week, even though he only played a quarter of football. He is working through progressions quickly and is decisive as hell. He's doing better than anyone could have really hoped for.
I'd like to see him attack downfield more often and do a bit better at protecting himself. But you can easily see he is not playing like a QB that's only had one full year of college starts and two NFL games under his belt. He can be one of the best QBs in the NFL, but he can't if he's exiting every game prematurely.

Another 4th quarter blown lead. Great for 3 quarters just to implode in the last 15 minutes. Aggravating.

That is a really well thrown ball to Pierce, that should have been a TD. Bill Polian would say "if it hits your hands, you have to catch it". It is not like it was a 50-50 ball either. However, Pierce seems to catch 50-50 balls better, so Matt Ryan would throw it up a bit more for Pierce. I am not sure what type of catcher Pierce was in college but this catch needs to be made at the NFL level.
I didn't get to see it as I was driving and listening to the radio. It sounded like it was a tougher catch than what the picture depicted. After seeing that, it seems it was more of a concentration issue than a hands issue, because you're right. Pierce is a better contested catch than he was on that play in particular.

What a surprise. You've got something negative to say along with an overreaction. Who could have foreseen that coming...

They literally said during the broadcast that we were the least blitzing team in the MNFL according to advanced nfl stats or something.
