When you are 9 years old you pick a team that is good at the time to pull for. In 1970, it was the Cowboys and Colts. Two of my buddies already picked the Cowboys, so they told me I had to pick someone else so naturally I chose the Colts.
My wife loves to tell this story to prove my loyalty. I was paralyzed in an accident Oct 18th 1980 and was in a coma for four days after. According to my parents, the first thing I asked when I woke up was "Did the Colts win?" Unfortunately they lost to those damn evil Patriots. I was so mad I put myself into another coma for the rest of the season.
I kid I kid. I don't remember my reaction when they told me.
I have always lived in SC so it's a bunch of Falcon and Panther fans around me. Every time the Colts play one or both of them down here I make sure to get tickets.
Oh my. I just looked at their future schedules and saw they are coming back down here next year. Very cool.
