  1. Why would he want to play for a team that will challenge for the top draft pick in 2024?
  2. Well, only about 30 people have bothered to vote after 5 hours. Maybe you needed a question: If most fans here are too fed up with Ballard’s product to respond to this poll, should he be fired?
  3. Will Brinson thanks the OP for promoting his guesses.
  4. What you described as “rawness” is indeed much of the show’s charm. That won’t pass muster at ESPN. Fortunately, I am sure many of us only watch short YouTube clips of his lengthy show — in my case comments about the Colts — so if it gets too sanitized, it won’t be a big loss.
  5. Did you forget the #1 pick in the draft was one of the shortest, lightest qb picks in at least the last 50 years. Brains still matter. As does good health. Teams will still need to protect their franchise qb’s, especially given the much longer season than years ago. A handful will run the ball a lot but most will avoid hard hits. We only need to recall Andrew Luck congratulating tacklers for hard hits on him in his first few seasons — that he should have avoided — to remember why that’s probably a good idea.
  6. We now have a coach better than Vince Lombardi and a quarterback better than PM. The future is so bright that I need sunglasses.
  7. All chips in on AR. He will be as successful as Manning as a rookie and Colts will have a high #1 pick again next year. Passing stats will be bad but he should run for close to 1000 yards.
  8. Irsay is all chips in once again. Super Bowl, here we come!
  9. Yes, it’s punting. Of course if they really are thinking about this BYU qb they could get his predecessor who was better at BYU and could be had for a bag of peanuts from the Jets. Hopefully, Ballard has more sense.
  10. Unless we can trade with the Ravens for Jackson, no way do Colts not draft one of the four qb’s with our pick tomorrow night. Ballard can’t survive another 4 or 5 win season while again punting on qb of the future.
  11. While I understand the diminished value of running backs, Taylor is an exceptional talent. Of course he had a lot of mileage on his odometer even as a rookie thanks to Wisky running him to death.
  12. I hate the idea of trading a lot of assets to move up unless the Colts are convinced one of the four qb’s is the next Luck or Manning. Recent years’ trades by other teams to move up for qb’s have mostly bombed.
  13. The hapless Colts will surely win today, which will likely mean they will need to spend draft assets to move up and take a qb. Even when they win, they lose, but the biggest loss is having Ballard and Irsay making decisions on that qb.
  14. The Pillow-soft Saturdays are working on that high draft pick! Good job!!
  15. Poor Little Jimmy. Inherit a multi-billion dollar team and get no joy from it.
  16. Would be interesting to know if anything odd is happening in Vegas.
  17. The one guy that needs to be fired is the only one who can’t be fired.
