It is Oprah. One of her best acting roles ever. I LOVE this book and movie, know every word to this movie. Everyone in this movie was AMAZING in their roles. And I think the movie adaptation was done just right despite some people (including Alice Walker the author) having some issues with Speilberg’s choices. Everything he chose to keep or take out was smart IMO. TRUE CLASSIC!

OK here it is
I love history, reading, writing, cooking, internet, working out, movies, music
I despise mean people, not being neat, inconsiderate and uncaring people
Love people with empathy and sympathy
Am a neat freak and love things orderly
If I could, would love to work for the NFL or be a history teacher or social studies
Do something in journalism.

Quote #5...I Feel the Need The Need for Speed!

I liked "Goose" in Top Gun. Too bad, he had to die in that picture. A very young Meg Ryan played Goose's wife/window in that film too. Let's not forget the soundtrack with Kenny Logins "Highway To The Danger Zone" on it as well as The Righteous Brothers "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling" track also.
Plus, the flight school dogfights in the sky were pretty sweet as well.

Cool video montages there JPPT.
I like seeing Aretha as a younger woman because most of us are accustom to seeing her in her later yrs as opposed to an up & coming Motown star. Nice.
Sidenote: I liked singer Smokey Robinson's final farewell to Miss Franklin too. Smokey still has a beautiful voice even now & he's one hades of a storyteller too. That guy knows how to work a room & put you in a palm of his hand.

Question #15...Back in the 1980's-2005 After Uncle Walter Cronkite left, who were the three main anchors for the three major networks that had hard news at the time?!

I never watched Peter Jennings much, but I know Dan Rather well. I saw all his Vietnam coverage in the field stuff. Mike Wallace was really good too. I remember Tom Brokaw as well. But Tom wasn't half as good as Dan & Mike were. Not even close.
I took a military history course in graduate school & we covered journalism in wartime. I have so much respect for Cronkite, Wallace, & Rather. Those guys were through man & they refuse to be intimidated by any administration in power. They supplied the public with tangible information with no filter. And they were just as tenacious in their youth as they evolved into elder media icons too.

Yet another person has passed away...that of David Cassidy from the Partridge Family and in the teen idol if you all grew up in the 1970's. RIP

Hey what did you all do for Halloween? Just hand out candy. Nothing out of the ordinary. BTW it is my least favorite holiday. Just love it for the candy! Tisk Tisk!

I bought couple bags of Snickers for all the aTrick/Treaters that never show up! The kids haven’t shown up for 25+ years, parents take the kids to younger neighborhoods, malls and/or Halloween events. Guess I have two bags of Snickers for myself. Darn after 25+ years you’d think I’d learn no kids are coming around! Next year I’ll buy Kit Kat and/or M&M Peanut. If no one shows up I’ll try to make a mental note.

Did you all shop Black Friday? I did not and avoided that. As really got my shopping done!
-
no, no shopping. We watched football on Thursday and Friday I made soup and we ate left overs. Hung out with my daughters on Saturday and took a hike through the woods. Sunday I did some jobs around the house. I'll need to think about my shopping list. keeping it simple this year. Nice job being done already. Enjoy the season!

Do you all remember Tonya and Nancy 20-years ago? As remembered how ice skating was very popular over that boom!
-
I saw Nancy Kerrigan being interviewed about the infamous skating accident recently on MSNBC & she smiled & said I wish people would get past this incident. Yeah right Nancy, like you of all people want people to forget the infamous incident that made you a household name. Get real lady. You love all this attention. Who are we kidding?! LOL! SMH & rolling my eyes in complete disbelief Nancy.
